Hogwarts Study Panel

Chapter 57: The Prevalent Notes

Chapter 57: The Prevalent Notes
“I understand, Professor,”

Sheen cleaned the crucible thoroughly, and before leaving, he paused, his emerald eyes filled with sincerity:

"Thank you for your materials and guidance."

As he left the cellar, Professor Snape's face was flickering in the candlelight.

He wouldn't forget those techniques, even though he didn't know where the other person had learned them.
But it undoubtedly reminded him of those rare moments of brightness.

He had never seen a student with such a pure love for potions.

He didn't care about the ridicule or personal grudges; he only cared about the potion itself.

He harbored a primal, pure love for potions, and even possessed an unparalleled familiarity with its techniques—

That was something he had studied and discussed with someone, a rare moment of light for him.

It was this focused and familiar technique that stung his heart—

He hated seeing his own shadow.

Especially since this shadow is connected to everything he has lost.

His gaze was dark.

Is it bitterness, anger, or an irrepressible sense of appreciation?

Outside the window, a torrential downpour is raging, and the emotions permeating the rain are as long-lasting and intense as the wind.

Sheen carried the book, her steps light and quick.

Ignoring Professor Snape's sharp tongue, he might actually be considered a qualified professor.

At least he genuinely loves potions and possesses exceptional skills.

Sheen's fatigue from the potion-making ritual is almost gone, and by tomorrow at the latest, he can test how much the improved ritual will enhance the quality.

Most importantly, Professor Snape also seems to have read Polacht's notes.
Perhaps I can offer him guidance during the reform ceremony?
But what Sheen didn't know was...

Professor Snape wasn't the only one who saw this improvement...

It was already close to curfew.

Sheehan heard two happy Gryffindors humming "A Pot of Hot Love":
"Oh, come stir my soup."
If you do it right, I will cook up a passionate love to keep you warm and cozy tonight…

It was a song sung by Setina Warbeck that had a "very jazzy" feel.

It's very popular in the wizarding world.

"You're in big trouble!"

Sheen heard strange noises again.

It turned out that two young wizards were playing with Gobblestone, which is one of their favorite pastimes.

The price the loser of the Gobu Stone game has to pay is—

Several stones sprayed foul-smelling liquid into the face of a terrified young wizard.

Hmm, it's hard to understand the inspiration behind the wizard who invented this game.

As the owl flew out again...
A pair of sharp eyes appeared in the distance at almost the same time.
Minerva McGonagall's usually serious face was now filled with complex emotions.
Especially when Sheen, exhausted, passed by a bunch of little wizards who were taking advantage of Saturday's last chance to play.

She now realizes that this effort has been going on for far too long, in places she hadn't seen.

The cold winds of the Scottish Highlands swept across the surface of the Black Loch and crashed against the ancient walls of Hogwarts Castle, turning into a deep and persistent murmur.

Amidst this roar, Hogwarts Castle awoke once more.

"Little wizard! That wretched little wizard! He answered ahead of time again!"

Mr. Owl was making a racket, but Sheen went into the classroom unaffected.

Of the three, Hermione was unusually the last to arrive.

Sheen sleeps well, Justin sleeps well.

The two of them would arrive at the practice room around six o'clock, which made a certain little witch cry out that it was unfair!
No little wizard needs only seven hours of sleep to be full of energy!

"Good morning, Sheehan,"

Justin was holding a milk coconut pudding and was casting a special food magic spell on it.

Sheen saw an open book with a pink cover and a turkey in the center lying to the side.

It is "Conjure Up a Feast!"
A must-have book in the Wizard's Kitchen.

"Sheen, could you please help me try out the improved new flavor?"

Justin handed over the milk coconut pudding, but he didn't mention that the unpalatable, previous version had been rejected by the hungry Hufflepuffs yesterday.

……

[You have practiced the Clear Water Spring Spell once, according to the standards of an apprentice. Proficiency +1]

[You have practiced the Clear Water Like a Spring Spell once at a beginner level, proficiency +3]

[You have practiced the Clear Water Like a Spring Spell once at a beginner level, proficiency +3]

……

Sheen would practice until he couldn't even lift his wand anymore.

After recording the details of the "Clear Water Like a Spring" mantra...
Sheen silently opened the panel:

【Clear Water Like a Spring Mantra: Apprentice Level (110/300)】

[Summoning Spell: Not yet unlocked (1/30)]

[Levitation Spell: Beginner Level (200/900)]

At this rate, I can get started tomorrow, which is incredibly fast.

Just as he was about to head to the Quidditch pitch, Justin suddenly approached:
"Oh, Sheen, you know what? My mother told me there are many ways to deal with the world."

But creation is the only thing that never fades.

He said, as if realizing something was only half-heartedly.
Are you ready to embrace this change with me?

Before Sheen could react, Justin dragged him to a courtyard crowded with young wizards.

It's hard to imagine that a group of Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and Gryffindors could actually gather together peacefully.
They were talking quietly to each other, and when Justin arrived, their conversation turned into a commotion.

"Sheen, I knew it was you!"

Michael seemed particularly excited; he raised his chin and addressed Seamus and the others.

"Sincerely, ten nat."

"Alright alright……"

"A bet is a bet..."

Sheen saw Seamus, Ernie, and the others muttering as they handed the item to Michael Nat. He winked at Sheen and mouthed something:
"I'll share half with you later."

Sheen roughly understood what was going on.

"Are the Notebooks on the History of Magic really that popular?"

He asked Justin quietly.

"Oh, my dear Sheen, do you have some misunderstanding about it? What you've done is something that no one in the entire wizarding world has ever done before."
That was a market that had never been explored before!

Justin's light gray eyes sharpened slightly, a rare occurrence.
“When all the third-year wizards came to me, I knew, Sheen, that this was a huge opportunity.”

Think about it, faced with Professor Binns' ambiguity, the large amount of homework, and the difficulties of self-study,

Who wouldn't want to look at a concise and clear set of notes?
I didn't send out a single copy; I only previewed some unimportant parts of the last assignment.

He suddenly leaned close to Sheen's ear:

"When everyone was faced with the long assignments caused by Professor Binns's latest blunder, they all came to me, hoping I would provide those notes..."

Furthermore, purchase is voluntary.

……

The popularity of the History of Magic Notebooks did surprise Sheehan; almost every young wizard had bought a copy.
Justin's handling of the situation perpetuated this sense of surprise:
"Like a TV series, we only sell a small portion at a time, but given the vastness of the history of magic, even this small portion is enough to fill half a book..."

And do you remember? Your method of writing a history of magic paper was widely known by a wizard named Michael.
We have plenty of time to let these things become popular; what's important is to maintain the true, scientific core.

Oh, Sheehan, don't forget, Hogwarts has more than just one subject to summarize...

The wizarding world isn't just about Hogwarts..."

Justin's eyes sparkled as he mentioned these things, and Sheehan let him be.

They simply arrived at the Quidditch stadium quietly.

He felt that at the current rate of progress, he would soon be able to fly back to Ravenclaw Tower.

Even half is fine.
