Chapter 6, Section 6: Arrival at Hogwarts
This was the first time Sheen had ever seen the so-called Chocolate Frog cards, and it was also the first time for the young wizards in Box Two to see them either.
Naturally, the conversation revolved around the cards once again.
Wow! Devont Simpling!
"do you know him?"
“I don’t know him, but I have deep respect for what he has done.”
Hermione raised an eyebrow and took the card from Justin's hand.
Devont Simpling,
He survived by eating the entire poisonous tentacle as part of a bet, but his body remained purple.
As Hermione finished reading, she turned her head and glared at Justin.
"idiot."
"Okay, you're right."
Justin didn't argue at all; their gazes fell on Hermione's card.
“Godric Gryffindor,”
Hermione raised her chin, and a wide smile curved her lips.
"One of the founders of Hogwarts, one of the houses is named after him."
“That’s great. I read about him in ‘Hogwarts: A History of the School,’ which says that he also left a sword at Hogwarts.”
Justin praised her sincerely, and Hermione narrowed her eyes, clearly pleased.
As they talked, the train had already left London and they were speeding along pastures dotted with cattle and sheep.
The two remained silent for a moment, watching the vast grasslands and rolling hills pass by. Occasionally, they could see a few people riding horses, dressed in white riding clothes, looking like white flowers in an oil painting.
“I said, he’s really quiet.”
Hermione didn't mention a name, but Justin knew perfectly well who she was talking about.
"maybe."
Justin smiled; his dimples were incredibly endearing.
"Sheen, please help me with this pumpkin pie."
Then, a slightly slender hand flashed by.
"Thank you."
A few seconds later, the voice came from behind the thick, brown book.
Justin's dimples deepened.
My mother told me that truly capable people are often very quiet.
Even if a mountain fell in front of them, it wouldn't frighten them; however, they were often unlucky…
Justin's gaze lingered on Sheehan's pilling jacket and his focused face, a meaningful look in his eyes.
“My mother said that I always need friends like this.”
Her teachings helped me find my friends at Samfield School.
As it turns out, she was right. I think we'll be best friends for life.
We made a promise to each other that even if we went to different schools, we would not lose touch.
Oh, if you're interested, I'd be happy to share our correspondence with you.
Justin said, opening his suitcase.
Besides the items on the enrollment checklist, the most eye-catching items were the neatly folded letters.
Scattered beside the letter were a few photos, which appeared to be group photos of Justin and his friends.
Just as Hermione was looking around in surprise, a voice trembling with tears suddenly rang out:
"Laifu! Where are you?!"
A round-faced boy squeezed into the private room and asked somewhat timidly,
"Excuse me, have you seen my toad?"
The train had now traveled two-thirds of the way.
Sheen's concentration was broken by the warm, dim lights of the train. He rubbed his eyes; he was now alone in the compartment.
Observing the gloomy sky, he was preparing to change into his wizard's robes.
But upon closing the book, "A Thousand Miraculous Herbs and Mushrooms," a note was found.
It says:
"Sheen, we've gone to help a young wizard named Neville find a toad. If you'd like to come, you can find us in the hallway."
Sheen thought for a moment and wrote a few words on the back of the note:
The train is about to arrive at the station, remember to change your clothes.
After finishing writing, Sheen opened the cubicle door, clutching his school robe.
The corridor was extremely noisy, many times noisier than before. Perhaps the young wizards in the private rooms had become familiar with each other, so their voices were much louder.
As Sheen walked past a private room, he overheard the argument inside.
"Daisies, sweet cream, and sunshine, turning this silly fat mouse yellow."
It was a young male voice.
Are you sure this really is a spell?
It was a little girl asking the question.
"Looks like it's not very good, is it?"
I tried a few simple spells at home, just for practice, and they all worked.
Therefore, what I mean is,
Look at this.
Reparo.
Sheen roughly understood what was happening. Just as he was about to walk over, he saw a platinum-haired boy stride open the cubicle, followed by two little wizards who looked like bodyguards.
Sheen knew what was going to happen without even thinking.
Sure enough, a moment later, mocking voices rang out:
“If I were you, Potter, I would be extra careful.”
You should be more polite, otherwise you'll end up like your parents.
They don't know what's good for them. If you hang out with shady characters like the Weasleys or Hagrid, you'll be influenced.
She has a really sharp tongue.
Sheen silently made his assessment and went to the dressing room without looking back.
In that stagnant private room, another loud shout soon followed.
Sheehan could guess immediately that Scabbers had bitten Goyle to help Harry out of trouble.
If I remember correctly, this was the only time Peter Pettigrew helped Harry?
By the time compartment number two was filled with little wizards again, the train's rumble had reached its maximum, and the scarlet steam locomotive had slowly slowed down.
outside the window,
Under the dark purple sky, all that could be seen were rolling mountains and forests.
Hermione and Justin couldn't contain their excitement.
The three of them got off the Hogwarts Express and arrived at a dark and small platform.
From afar, I saw a giant carrying a lantern; at first glance, he looked like one of those man-eating monsters from a fairy tale.
The night air was chilly.
This time, however, Sheen didn't shiver. His clothes were no longer the donated, tattered, and pilling garments.
Instead, it was Hogwarts' plain-colored robes and lining.
They are warm.
As they followed Hagrid through the woods and arrived at Hogwarts Castle, the young wizards all let out a loud cry:
"Wow--"
Justin shouted the loudest, which drew frequent glares from Hermione.
"Forgive me, Hermione, Eton College is not so easy to give up."
I made the right decision. Look at this castle, and those floating lights, and the moving statues...
If my mother saw this—I think she would be proud of me.
Rowing a small boat across the black lake, entering the dock, and passing through the cliffside staircase,
The young wizards stopped at the entrance to the Great Hall and listened to Professor McGonagall's explanation of the Sorting Ceremony.
