Chapter 13 "I Can't Feel Uncomfortable Without a Fight" (Newcomer's Choice - Recommended for Followers)

"You're the one who says it's short and long, and you're the one who says it's long and short! Are you crazy...?" Before he could finish speaking, seeing Yoona's darkening face, he quickly changed the subject.

"After you left, I was... cough, a little bored. So I started thinking, how did I end up like this? I kept thinking and the only thing I remembered was last time... I got drunk at a hotel and woke up like this."

He glanced at Yoona furtively, noticing that her face hadn't darkened further.

"I thought, you have some wine here... so I... um, went to the kitchen and found a bottle that looked okay, thinking I'd try it... to see if drinking it would help me get back? Or... at least find some clues?"

"And what happened? Your wine..." He smacked his lips, a mixture of disgust and disdain on his face.
"Tsk, it's not that I'm picky! It's so different from what I used to drink! Not only is it bland, but it's also a bit astringent..."

"Aish, Jiang! Cheol!" Yoona interrupted him, unable to bear it any longer.
"Important point! Who gave you permission to comment on my wine?! Tell me! Transform! How many times did you drink to transform?"

"Oh, oh, oh! The important part!" Jiang Che slapped Taeyeon's forehead, pulling her back to reality:

"Then I... chug chug... drank about... I can't remember exactly, and then when I opened my eyes, guess what happened?"

Yoona said, "Guess if I'll guess?"

Jiang Che's eyes darted around when he heard this: "I'll guess, you guess or not, you guess?"

"Guess your sister!" Yoona grabbed the cushion again.
Seeing this, Jiang Che stopped joking:
"And then! When I opened my eyes again, I had become Taeyeon."

Yoona stared at Taeyeon's face, feeling increasingly uncomfortable no matter how she looked at it.

"Can you change back?"

Jiang Che replied firmly, "Sure."

Yoona said, "Then hurry up and change back."

Jiang Che shrugged:

"Not now. I was playing with face-changing techniques out of boredom before, and then somehow I couldn't switch back. I might have to wait a while."

Hearing this, Yoona rubbed her head, feeling even more tired than after a concert. She thought it was truly amazing that Kang Che had survived so long without being beaten to death.

"...So," Yoona's voice carried a weary tone, as if defeated by Kang Cheol, "you mean, you secretly drank the wine from my kitchen, got yourself drunk, and then took a nap?"
So... you became Kim Tae-yeon? And then you can turn back into Im Yoon-a? Can you become anyone else?

"Hmm! Bingo, too bad there's no reward. I can't transform into anyone else. I think maybe you have to talk to someone to transform, and it probably has to be a celebrity."

"The person who asked me for an autograph before, that's your fan, I didn't become one." Kang Cheol, with Taeyeon's face on his body, made a dog-nodding gesture.

Seeing Taeyeon's strange scene, Yoona unconsciously reached for her phone, wanting to take a picture and show it to the real Taeyeon.
"Jiang Chexi..." Just as he was about to say something, his gaze suddenly fell on the familiar, but now empty, short and stout porcelain vase on the coffee table.

She recognized the bottle of wine; it was a limited edition that she had asked a friend to bring back from a century-old shop, and she hadn't even opened it herself!
"So!" Yoona's voice was almost squeezed out through clenched teeth:
"You just treated my limited edition liquor like a transformation potion and drank it all? Can't you drink beer?!"

"Uh... um... it's just that the beer doesn't taste good," Jiang Che shrank his neck, pressing his face against Taeyeon's, and gave her a pleading look.
"And look, the result is good!"
"At worst, you can give me some start-up capital, and I'll pay you back with countless bottles of wine!" As he spoke, he subconsciously raised his hand to touch his face; his skin was smooth and felt real.

Yoona watched him make that cowardly and shameless expression with his unnie's face on his end, and his words were all about seed money.
I felt a throbbing sensation in my yang acupoint.

"And then what? You're wearing Unnie's face? And you're even mimicking her voice?!" Thinking of that incredibly lifelike "Huh? Yoona, you're back?" that almost scared her to death when she walked in, Yoona wished she could grab her pillow again.

"I just... saw you looked so tired, and wanted to cheer you up!" Jiang Che scratched his head, revealing a smile reminiscent of Kim Tae-yeon. Yoona closed her eyes, took a long breath, and told herself that patience would bring peace.

But when she opened her eyes again and looked at the face of one of her closest unnies, a soul within it now sent her blood pressure soaring: "Sure enough, the more you hold back, the angrier you get. This brat needs a good beating to calm him down."

The next second, Yoona grabbed a cushion from the sofa and, without saying a word, started "World War II".

Caught off guard, Jiang Che fled in panic, covering his head and wailing his innocence:
"Stop hitting me! I really know I was wrong! I'll transform when I drink beer from now on, okay?"

Seeing that Yoona hadn't stopped, she said, "Give me the start-up capital and I'll pay you back with a case of limited editions! I won't scare you anymore!"

Upon hearing this, Yoona immediately went into berserk mode, her arms swinging wildly, leaving afterimages. "I'll teach you to use your startup capital! I'll teach you to drink my limited edition liquor! I'll teach you to scare me!"

Jiang Che, with Taeyeon's tiny body, ran around the living room, dodging and begging for mercy.

ten minutes later.

Yoona collapsed on the sofa, panting heavily, her arms aching from swinging them, and her eyes still blazing with anger.

Jiang Che wasn't in much better shape. His hair was a mess, his eyes were vacant, his T-shirt was askew, and he looked completely disheveled. He was also slumped on the other end of the sofa.

The two looked at each other, but neither spoke.

"Pfft—" Yoona suddenly laughed.

Upon hearing this laughter, Jiang Che's eyes were filled with "why? Are you crazy?"

"Get lost!" Yoona inexplicably understood the meaning in Jiang Che's eyes. She grabbed a cushion and was about to start World War III, but in the end, she only lightly touched it. "Go and clean up! I get annoyed just looking at your face!"

Despite saying she was annoyed, Yoona's smile never faded. After arguing with Kang Cheol, she felt like her fatigue had really disappeared, and the apartment didn't feel so deserted anymore.

Jiang Che didn't feel the same way. He muttered as he walked, "That's Taeyeon's face, what's the big deal! Are there internal conflicts within Girls' Generation?!"

Yoona finally couldn't hold back and threw a pillow at Kang Cheol's back.

The next morning, the sun shone brightly. Jiang Che woke up early to continue his "Master Chef" project. With his hair styled like Taeyeon's messy hair, he skillfully made his way into the kitchen.

The sounds of frying eggs, toasting bread, and porridge filling the air, along with the aromas that gradually permeated the apartment.

Having prepared everything, Jiang Che walked to Yoona's bedroom door, knocked symbolically twice, and then hesitated whether to go in or not. "Well, I'm Taeyeon now," he thought, and pushed the door open and went in.

"Yoona? Get up, breakfast is ready." It was still Kim Tae-yeon's voice.

Yoona mumbled sleepily, "Unnie, let me sleep a little longer."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Che instinctively said, "Yoona, call my name again."

Upon hearing that cheeky tone, Yoona immediately opened her eyes and threw a pillow at him.

In response, Jiang Che burst into laughter from outside the door.
