Chapter 67 Wang Zha
But he felt that the expression was like it was being made for a blind person—

Sunny didn't even glance at him. She naturally stepped into the room, looked around, and then sat down on the sofa, watching him leisurely without saying a word.

Jiang Che closed the door, feeling a bit speechless. Was this woman coming to play a staring contest with him late at night? What did it mean by sitting there without saying a word?
He felt uneasy under her gaze, and after sitting down opposite her, he forced a dry laugh and tried to make conversation.

"Unnie, would you like some water?"

Sunny shook her head, her tone casual, and slowly began to speak:
"Yoona..."

"Inside"

"Have you noticed... that Taeyeon has been acting a little strange these past few days?"

Jiang Che nodded frantically in his mind:

'It's more than just strange! Her feelings for me are no longer just friendship! But can I say that? Obviously not!'

But his words were standard evasive, attempting to get away with it:

"Huh? Really? Isn't Taeyeon unnie always like that? Sometimes she's crazy and sometimes she's quiet. Maybe...maybe she's just too tired from filming?"

Sunny stared at him, seemingly trying to find a flaw in his face. After a few seconds, she decided to stop beating around the bush and go straight for the kill, determined to shock everyone:

"I think Taeyeon... seems to have fallen for you."

!!!

Although Jiang Che was somewhat prepared, Sunny's direct and face-to-face confrontation still caught him completely off guard, leaving his mind blank for a moment.
Just like in Dou Dizhu (a card game), Jiang Che had just played a three when Sunny immediately threw out the two Jokers.

Jiang Che's CPU was completely overheated and unable to handle the current situation, let alone know how to respond.

Admit it? Deny it? Play dumb? It seems like any reaction would lead to a series of consequences! This question is clearly beyond my capabilities—oh well, I'll just give up and be fearless.

Silence reigns in the living room tonight.

The silence lasted only a few seconds, but it felt incredibly long to both of them. Sunny had anticipated all sorts of reactions from Jiang Che, but she hadn't expected this completely silent, frozen state.

What kind of reaction is this? Concession? Or are they just terrified?

This can't be a two-way street, can it? Thinking of this, she decided to give it another push:
"Yoona?" she called out, trying to get his attention back.
What's your opinion on this matter?

Jiang Che was stunned. 'I was thinking, do you mind if I give you my opinion a year later?'

But when he met Sunny's probing gaze, he could only force a smile:
"Unnie, this question came so suddenly, I was still thinking about how to answer it..."

Upon hearing this, Sunny was about to press her advantage again—

"Knock knock knock!"

"Holy crap! No way? Not again?!"

Jiang Che felt he was developing PTSD from the knocking sound. Last night it was Taeyeon, and tonight Sunny was still in his room, so what if this knocking sound...?

He dragged his heavy steps closer to the peephole—standing outside was Kim Tae-yeon, carrying a small bag and wearing an expectant yet slightly excited smile!

Jiang Che's vision went black. Sure enough, when he mentioned Taeyeon, she appeared. He inexplicably thought of the scene of their confrontation that afternoon.

He opened the door with trembling hands.

Taeyeon, standing outside the door, immediately held up the bag in her hand like a treasure, her smile radiant:
"Yoona! Ta-da~ Look, I've found something delicious to drink again! Surprised? Happy? Let's have some more tonight..." Her voice trailed off before she could finish the word "some drinks".

Because she saw Sunny in the room, standing up from the sofa, arms crossed, looking at her with an "I knew it" expression.

Jiang Che managed to squeeze out a sentence:
"Taeyeon unnie...you're here too..."

Sunny's soft voice drifted from behind, tinged with a hint of mockery:
"Oh? Taeyeon, why do you only invite Yoona when you're drinking, and don't want to invite me?"

Taeyeon's smile froze instantly. Seeing that Sunny was also there, and especially remembering the warning she received that afternoon, her earlier excitement vanished without a trace.

When Jiang Che saw this, he thought, "Well, if these two short-statured big shots were in One Piece, this would definitely be a clash of Conqueror's Haki!"
He quickly stepped aside and practically dragged Taeyeon, who was still standing frozen at the door, into the room.

"Come in, come in first, what kind of behavior is it to stand at the door..."

When Taeyeon came in, the three of them sat down again in the living room, forming a subtle and oppressive triangle. No one spoke first, and the air seemed to freeze.

Jiang Che felt as if he were sitting on pins and needles, a myriad of emotions welling up in his heart:

'Yoona's money is definitely not easy to take.'

In the end, it was Taeyeon who lost her temper first. She stared at Sunny and spoke in a stiff tone:
"Sun-kyu, why are you here at Yoona's place so late at night instead of resting in your own room?"

Sunny shrugged and said slowly:
"Nothing much, just wanted to grab a drink and chat with Yoona, just like you. I'd like to experience what it's like to drink with our dear maknae!"

Jiang Che, listening from the side, felt a chill run down his spine; Sunny's ability to speak in such a sarcastic and unsettling way was truly remarkable.

Taeyeon clearly didn't believe her. Thinking about the secret of her alter ego and the complicated situation she couldn't explain to Sunny, she felt a surge of frustration.
"Sun-kyu, don't bother others."

Sunny responded calmly and deliberately:
"Taeyeon, you can't say that. How am I bothering you? I'm here to show my concern and build a relationship with our dear maknae. Besides..."

She paused, her tone becoming more serious:
"You seem to have forgotten what I said this afternoon? I said I would continue to watch over you. So don't think you can just leave me behind."

These words ignited Taeyeon's anger, but looking at Kang Cheol beside her, she couldn't bring herself to lash out. Seeing Sunny's demeanor, she knew that drinking was definitely out of the question tonight, and they wouldn't even be able to have a proper conversation.

She took a deep breath, suppressing her anger, and stood up decisively.

"Alright, I'm going back. What about you? Are you coming or not?"

Sunny glanced at Taeyeon's face, which was about to explode, and knew that if they stayed any longer, they might really start arguing. She decided to call it a day. She nodded decisively.
"Okay, let's go together then. Yoona, get some rest, and don't forget to give me your answer tomorrow."

After saying that, she followed Taeyeon outside.

Before leaving, Taeyeon couldn't help but turn back and give Kang Cheol a complicated look.

Jiang Che quickly offered a sweet smile.

Only after the door was completely closed and he was sure the two experts had left did Jiang Che finally relax, slumping heavily onto the sofa and letting out a long sigh.

He stared at the hotel ceiling, a wave of fear and a sense of absurdity washing over him.

What is this called!
Covering someone else's shift almost triggered an emotional and trust crisis within the team? So, these past two days, Sunny's unusual behavior wasn't because she noticed something was wrong with him, but rather with Taeyeon?!
If Yoona knew that her two dearest unnies had become like this because of her, wouldn't she be ready to pounce like a lamb to the slaughter...? And what about giving Sunny an answer tomorrow? I'd better slip away tomorrow and go back to let Yoona answer...

"Sigh... He sighed and his despair turned into hopelessness. Then he immediately contacted his agent, Unnie, to change his flight time."
