Chapter 87 Holmes.

Jiang Che seemed to sense the movement behind him and turned around. Sunlight shone directly on his sharply defined profile, highlighting his clear features and high nose bridge. He saw Yoona and naturally flashed a smile, revealing a set of white teeth:
"You're awake? Hurry up and wash up, breakfast will be ready soon."

His voice was clear and resonant, with a unique masculine magnetism, completely different from the soft, gentle tone he used when speaking to her face earlier.

Yoona felt her heart skip a beat, as if it had betrayed her.

"Oh...oh." She responded hastily, turning around and slipping into the bathroom almost simultaneously.

After closing the door, Yoona looked at her reflection in the mirror, her ears slightly red. She couldn't help but pat her face hard, trying to calm her inexplicable heart palpitations.

"You're crazy! Yoona, wake up! He's just a man! Don't act like you've never seen a man before!"

But an uncontrollable thought kept popping into her mind: 'From today onwards, is she, Lim Yoona, really going to... live with a strange man?'

When she finally finished washing up, Jiang Che had already set out a simple breakfast on the small table. He then sat down casually, his bathrobe collar slightly open.

Yoona sat down opposite him, her gaze unsure of where to look. Normally, she could look directly at her own face, or at Taeyeon unnie's or Sunny unnie's face, without any restraint, and could even banter with them.

But now there's a real man sitting across from me, and I can almost feel his completely different aura with every breath he takes. This feeling... is too strange.

Jiang Che seemed quite at ease, finishing his portion in a few bites. He then tugged at his bathrobe with a look of disgust, thought for a moment, and said:

"Yoona, it doesn't feel good if you get caught buying men's clothes. How about you give me the money and I'll figure something out myself?"

Yoona looked up and rolled her eyes at him:
"How are you going to buy it yourself? Wear this bathrobe and women's slippers? Aren't you afraid of being stared at like a pervert? Leave it to me. If they find out, I'll just say it's for my dad."

Jiang Che was speechless for a moment. He wanted to say that he could try online shopping, but when he saw Yoona's look of "I'll take care of you," he swallowed his words.

I tried to imagine myself walking down the street in a bathrobe, and I honestly didn't dare to look at it, so I had to compromise in the end.
"Okay, then I'll leave it to you."

After hearing this, Yoona looked at Jiang Che's current appearance, thought for a moment, put down her chopsticks, stood up, went to the storage room and rummaged around for a while, then came out with a soft ruler.

"Stand up, reach out, raise your arm."

Jiang Che instantly understood that she was going to take his measurements! He readily opened his arms, forming a starfish shape, and watched Yoona cautiously approach with a smile on his lips.

Yoona felt a chill run down her spine. As they got closer, the warmth emanating from Jiang Che became even more pronounced, mixed with a faint scent of shower gel, creating a highly aggressive feeling.

She tried to clear her mind and focused on measuring his shoulder width and arm length.

When it came to measuring his bust, she had to stretch out her arms, almost as if she were to hug him, to get the measuring tape around him. The distance was so close that her forehead nearly touched his chin.

Yoona could feel her heart racing, and she cursed herself inwardly for being so weak.

"Hey, don't try to take advantage of me."

Jiang Che looked down at the fluffy head in front of him and couldn't help but make a sarcastic remark.

"Shut up! Who wants to take advantage of you!"

Yoona, embarrassed and angry, nudged his stomach lightly with her elbow.

"If you're not going to take advantage of me, why don't you just measure from the back?"

Yoona was speechless for a moment—she couldn't possibly admit that she hadn't thought of that at all, could she? She subconsciously looked up, only to find her eyes right next to Jiang Che's.

His eyes were bright, like they were filled with shattered diamonds from the Milky Way. Then, her gaze unconsciously shifted slightly downwards, past his high, straight nose, and finally settled on his lips...

The brief yet impactful sensation from last night seemed to reappear faintly.

Yoona's cheeks flushed rapidly, and she abruptly withdrew her hand, took a step back, and spoke in a slightly hurried tone:

"Okay...okay! I've noted down the sizes!"

She turned around, pretending to adjust the measuring tape, to hide her racing heart:
"I...I'll try to bring you some clothes today. You stay home and don't change your clothes or go out!"

"Yes, yes, yes, Lord Lin!" Jiang Che replied with a grin, finding Yoon-ah's slightly flushed cheeks quite amusing.

……

On her way to the company, Yoona's heartbeat gradually calmed down. Her phone vibrated, and when she took it out, she saw it was a reply from Kim Tae-yeon.

[Ani, it's nothing serious, just asking. See you in the practice room.]

Yoona's eyes darkened slightly as she looked at the message.

As expected... the person Taeyeon unnie was looking for last night wasn't Yoona at all, but Kang Cheol!

A bittersweet sense of loss, mixed with frustration with the chaotic situation, quietly crept into my heart.

The atmosphere in the company practice room was a little awkward.

Choi Sooyoung was warming up, Seohyun was reading in the corner, and Kim Hyoyeon was pulling Tiffany and Kwon Yuri together, the three of them whispering something with their heads close together, nodding occasionally, their expressions somewhat excited.

Kim Tae-yeon had already arrived and was sitting in the corner listening to music with headphones on, but her eyes seemed somewhat vacant. When Yoona walked in and saw this, she paused slightly, hesitating for a moment.
In the end, he pretended to be nonchalant and naturally sat down not far from Taeyeon.

After seeing Yoona sit down, Sunny glanced back and forth between Yoona and Taeyeon a few times.

Huh? That's strange.

Sunny stroked her chin, feeling even more confused. Yoona, who looked like she'd been given a yin-yang boost before, how come she looks radiant today? No matter where you look at her, she seems to be in a good mood.

Taeyeon, on the other hand, seemed a bit listless.

This situation... it's reversed again! What are these two up to? Does yin-yang tonification have odd and even weeks? You do it this week, she does it next week? Or did Taeyeon's new boyfriend have a falling out, and Yoona found someone new? They can't possibly have the same new boyfriend!!

She was completely baffled, her mind racing. There was definitely a secret between these two, and a big one at that!

A thought popped into his head: 'No, observation and probing alone seem useless; we must infiltrate!'

Thinking of this, Sunny's eyes lit up, and an idea came to her. She casually stretched her neck, walked between Taeyeon and Yoona, and sighed:
"Ugh, this is so annoying."

Taeyeon and Yoona both looked at her.

"What's wrong, unnie?"

"I don't know what's wrong with me, but lately, coming home alone in this empty house feels especially quiet, and I don't really want to be alone anymore. Could any of you take me in for a few days so I can clear my head?"

Sunny stared intently at the two of them, her mind racing with calculations. No matter whose house she moved into, she was sure she'd find some clues!
As soon as she finished speaking, Taeyeon and Yoona spoke up almost simultaneously.

"Arnie!"

The two women refused decisively in unison, with astonishing speed, leaving them both stunned for a moment before exchanging a puzzled glance.

Yoona quickly tried to cover it up: "Um... Unnie, I haven't actually been staying in my own apartment lately. I've been staying at Dad's house taking care of him!"

Taeyeon blinked, a thought creeping onto her mind—during last night's video, the background looked like Yoona's apartment, didn't it? But she quickly suppressed her doubts and chimed in:

"Um...it's not very convenient for me over there lately either."

She's going to have a video chat with Yoona #2 tonight. Staying for a day or two is fine, but who knows how many days Sunny will stay for?

sunny: "..."(⊙_⊙)?
This reaction... isn't it a bit too synchronized?!

Her detective instincts burned even brighter, but she quickly adopted a look of disappointment mixed with understanding.
"Oh... I see. No problem, no problem, I'll ask someone else, haha."

She chuckled dryly, but secretly resolved: The more you act like this, the more I'll find out the truth! Just you wait and see!
Taeyeon and Yoona both breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this, but at the same time felt a little awkward because of this strange tacit understanding, and they avoided each other's gaze without prior arrangement.

The three of them each had their own ulterior motives, and the atmosphere became somewhat awkward for a moment.

Taeyeon noticed that Hyoyeon and her group were still discussing things in hushed tones, and wondered if it was still about Lee Seungri's bar. Her brows furrowed slightly.

After finishing her schedule in the afternoon, Yoona didn't linger and went straight to a few relatively hidden men's product stores.

Wearing a hat and mask, she quickly moved through the men's clothing section like a thief, picked out some clothes according to the sizes she had noted down, and after thinking for a moment, she also bought a pair of men's slippers and a set of pajamas.

When it came time to pay, the sales assistant gave a subtle look at the large bag of men's clothing. Yoona felt her cheeks burning and said it was for her father. She quickly swiped her card and left.

Back at the apartment, she practically stole the door and slipped inside.

Jiang Che had already prepared the meal and was curled up on the sofa, looking at something on his phone. Hearing the noise, he looked up.

"Here, this is for you." Yoona shoved several shopping bags into his hands, her tone deliberately casual.

"Hurry up and try it on to see if it fits. If it doesn't fit, then... there's nothing I can do!"

Jiang Che took it with some surprise, opened the bag and saw that it was fully stocked inside and out, top to bottom.

He looked up at Yoona, whose face showed a hint of awkwardness and shyness.

"Wow, Yoona! You're such a great person!"

He smiled and took out the pajamas, unfolded them, and saw that they were the most ordinary style:

"The style is so conservative. I thought you'd buy me something like a tank top."

Yoona rolled her eyes at him, annoyed.
"Go change out of that rotten bathrobe right now!"

Jiang Che laughed and quickly walked into the guest room with the bag of clothes in his hand.

A short while later, the door to the guest room opened.

Yoona subconsciously looked up.

Jiang Che walked out, wearing the simple white cotton T-shirt and dark casual trousers she had bought.

The clothes fit him perfectly, outlining his tall figure and smooth shoulder line. Without the bathrobe, he looked clean and sharp.

He stepped into the center of the living room, wearing her newly bought slippers, and asked with a smile:

"How does it look?"

The setting sun shone on him, and he, dressed in new clothes, seemed to be glowing.

Lin Yoona looked at him and for a moment forgot to say anything.
