Chapter 259 Rules of the First [Joy] Cup Game Competition
The generals voted to designate Avalon as the Alliance's last resort, with one vote in favor, one against, and four abstentions.

The four abstentions were cast by Jing Yuan, Fei Xiao, Huai Yan, and Yao Guang.

No matter how good the relationship is between Jing Yuan, Fei Xiao, Huai Yan and Dan Lei, when it comes to the fate of their race, they cannot make a decision based on Dan Lei's words alone.

Even Fei Xiao, who liked Dan Lei, did not show favoritism in this matter.

Hua was satisfied with the three men, because if they had voted in favor, it would have proven that none of them were suitable to remain in the position of general.

We need to find a way to get them to step down after the meeting.

As for the issue of the resolution's passage, it can be implemented after the meeting by delaying the process and observing the development of Avalon to see if it is suitable as a backup plan.

Needless to say, Xuan Quan cast his vote in favor of that one.

If you vote against, it's either a simple "yes" vote or a "no" vote, resulting in a tie.

After the voting ended, Hua did not give Danlei a chance to campaign, and directly announced...

"The motion was tied and will be shelved for now, to be discussed at the next generals' meeting."

Seeing that Hua had made his decision, Dan Lei didn't press the matter further, since the most crucial issue of aid and reconstruction had already been resolved.

Once the craftsmen of the immortal ships arrive, within a hundred years, the hardware of our planet will be on par with that of the major immortal ships.

As for the software, it will take time for the sixteen races to adapt to the cosmic era.

However, the timing is not bad. The war of gods has only ended twelve years ago, which is no different from the fact that it just ended last week for most immortal beings.

They were already facing a massive shift from a war of gods to a gaming/competitive era, and now with the addition of a cosmic era, they can simply adapt to it all at once.

After Dan Lei's agenda was put on hold, the impromptu generals' meeting quickly came to an end.

This meeting has two main objectives.

Firstly, the alliance wanted to see what Dan Lei was really up to, and whether he was truly preparing to lead the Ming Clan away from the Immortal Ship.

From the results, Dan Lei and the league have landed smoothly.

The alliance will not let the Ming tribe go, but it also does not want a civil war.

Since Danlei has no intention of leaving with the Ming Clan, everything is negotiable. Once Danlei's core interests (control of the planet) are guaranteed, everything else can be discussed later.

As for the Vidyadharas, we just need to find ways to continue stabilizing their emotions.

Secondly, the alliance wanted to learn more about Avalon from Dan Lei.

The upper echelons of the Immortal Ship Alliance are not stupid. From the introduction given by Dan Lei, they can see how great the potential of this planet is.

To be honest, even without [Aha] opening up the power of the path of joy to guarantee the planet's absolute safety...

Dan Lei's mastery of the planet's rules and his advantageous geographical location on the edge of the newly explored universe, where there is almost no civilization but abundant mineral resources (for the Immortal Boat Alliance).

That would be enough to convince the Immortal Ship Alliance to invest heavily in building this planet.

Because there is no civilization in the surrounding area, it ensures that only a few major powers in the universe can reach it in the short term.

Moreover, the cost of sending a large army would be terrifyingly high.

It's safe to say that only the Antimatter Legion in the universe could possibly cross the stars to come and conquer us.

The Immortal Boat Alliance is not afraid of the Antimatter Legion. If the Immortal Boat people were to unleash their power, they could show the entire universe what a true catastrophe of abundance is all about.

In terms of upper-level combat power, the Immortal Ship Alliance is not afraid of the Antimatter Legion at all. If pushed too far, they can even use [Lan] to launch an arrow at the Antimatter Legion.

With such a vast expanse of space, and regions devoid of civilization, it's impossible for the antimatter army to penetrate galaxies and directly destroy their structure.

Therefore, when Dan Lei proposed to provide assistance, several generals who were on good terms with him agreed without hesitation.

Because this is truly beneficial to the alliance.

Now, the alliance has achieved its two main objectives. Although it failed to limit General Dan Leisheng, it is no longer a major issue.

I reckon only those few people who ousted Dan Lei from his position as the temporary general of Luofu will be criticized by their colleagues.

After all, if Danlei had been made General Luofu back then, none of this would have happened.

At most, Dan Lei will drive Luo Fu to the edge of Avalon as a bodyguard.

However, this means that the other immortal ships can forget about large-scale migrations, since if Dan Lei is the Luo Fu General, then they are essentially migrating from other immortal ships to Luo Fu.

The league will have plenty of ways to restrict it then.

Unfortunately, the opportunity has already been missed.

The alliance's top brass could imagine the fierce competition among the various immortal ships for aid slots (permanent residency slots) after the meeting, and how troublesome it would be to coordinate between the different immortal ships.

However, this is a problem for the Immortal Boat Alliance.

After the meeting, Danlei needed to consider how to mess around with the game "Aha".

After much deliberation, Danlei finally decided that for such a large-scale game, it's still necessary to copy someone else's homework.

Danlei has planned out the process and gameplay, and it's called the "Joyful Cup" game competition.

First, we need to organize a preliminary competition that can be participated in by the entire population.

I need to participate in this preliminary round, both myself and [Aha] need to participate.

After all, watching others play games is a last resort; if possible, you should definitely play them yourself.

Danlei plans to create a game arena that covers the entire planet, referencing a mobile game from his previous life (Pokémon GO).

At that time, I will directly provide a database containing various game and anime characters through my memory, and divide them into one to ten stars according to my own subjective judgment.

Then, according to the original setting, character projections formed by the Elf Corridor are randomly refreshed in a specific environment, and the name is "Simulated Memory Spirit".

Danlei uses the power of pleasure to ensure randomness when projecting the simulated memory spirits. Neither Danlei nor [Aha] knows which simulated memory spirit will spawn in which place.

Because Danlei has a database, he knows which simulated memory spirit has been refreshed, but he doesn't know where that simulated memory spirit has been refreshed.

【Aha】's power is only responsible for allocation, so he can know where the simulated memory spirit has been refreshed, but he doesn't know what star level or what kind of simulated memory spirit has been refreshed.

In addition to capturing simulated memory spirits, players can also battle each other (free choice for 6v6 or less; if one side has less than six, the smaller number will be the maximum for battle, with a maximum of 2vs2 players). The winner is guaranteed to randomly draw one simulated memory spirit from the opponent.

The loser of the match will also be penalized with an hour of suspension from participating in the game.

At the same time, both parties may voluntarily increase the stakes in the betting.

Each player has one forced battle right per day. After a player is forced to battle once a day, that player can refuse subsequent forced battles.

All participants are prohibited from using any of their special abilities to attack or assist the simulated memory spirits during the competition and capture. They can only defeat wild simulated memory spirits by relying on the initial randomly given one-star simulated memory spirit and the simulated memory spirits they have captured, and then capture them with a chance using the competition-specific capture capsules.

Multiple players attack the same wild Pseudo-Memory Spirit, and the last player to kill it has the right to capture it.

If the killer cannot be captured within 10 minutes, the simulated spirit will disappear and wait for the next refresh.

Of course, Capsule Danlei is also thoughtfully divided into four types: regular, super, advanced, and master.

(The capture probability is in the author's words)
Among them, Master Capsules will surely be able to reclaim the Memory Spirit once they defeat the Speculative Memory Spirit.

Capsules can be obtained by purchasing them directly with credits, or by collecting simulated memory spirits and having them recycled by the official team, which will also earn you in-game currency to purchase them.

In addition, each player can receive ten regular capsules for free every day.

Furthermore, there is only one way to obtain the Master Capsule: after obtaining sixteen gym badges, find and defeat Aha, who is hidden among the many participants.

Furthermore, [Aha] will only give you a Master Capsule the first time he is defeated each day.

Of course, Danlei wouldn't give [Aha] any preferential treatment, and if he wanted the Master Capsule, he'd have to challenge Danlei to a duel. However, finding the hidden [Aha] in the crowd would be extremely difficult; it would basically depend on luck.

As for the sixteen badges, needless to say, they are provided by various races through the establishment of dojos in their main cities or in the wild.

This is an opportunity for Danlei to develop tourism for various races, make contact with cosmic forces, and grow his own power.

At the same time, Danlei hopes to increase communication between different races through this event.

Each Gym Leader is chosen by their respective race. The Gym Leader can directly select six 7- to 8-star summoned spirits from the database as their partners. (Uniqueness guaranteed; first come, first served.)
The venue can also set up challenge judges who can choose six from the six-star simulated memory spirits as partners.

Dojo battles are special challenges; players who win will not receive a simulated spirit, nor can they make additional requests during the challenge.

However, the curator and the reviewer are not considered players; Danlei will reward them separately after the game ends.

Throughout the game, the more players you defeat, the greater the gym rewards you receive.

However, among the sixteen races, the demon race has no concept of nationhood.

Most of the fantasy species are concentrated in the hands of the forest elves.

The elves are now mixed up with the fairies.

Therefore, the emblems for the Fantasy species are awarded by the Forest Elf species through the establishment of additional gyms, while the emblems for the Spirit species are awarded by the Fairy species.

If it's a divine species, Danlei is the only one in charge.

Therefore, the fifteenth and sixteenth badges are issued by Avalon City. The fifteenth badge is located in the outer city, and players need to obtain all fifteen racial badges before they can challenge the sixteenth badge, which is located in the inner city.

Finally, players who collect all sixteen badges can advance to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals will be played as a simulated memory spirit auto chess game. Players will need to select one to ten stars from the simulated memory spirits they have captured, forming a team of fifty in total.

Both sides will draw cards in each round. The cards are randomly drawn from these fifty simulated memory spirits. Initially, five cards can be drawn, and two more are drawn each round.

Summoning energy starts at one point and increases each round, up to a maximum of fifteen points.

The number of stars in the simulated memory spirit is equal to the required summoning energy.

During the competition, players will send their simulated memory spirits into the virtual battlefield to fight each other. The winner of each round will deal damage to the opponent based on the number of simulated memory spirit stars that survive on the field.

The damage inflicted on the simulated memory spirit in each round will carry over to the next round.

Both players start with 100 health points; whoever runs out of health points first loses.

The competition format is a double-elimination tournament.

The semi-finals will ultimately select eight players to advance to the finals.

The final will be a 1v1 elimination tournament.

In the semifinals, the first player plays against the eighth-place player, the second against the seventh, and so on.

The game mode features real-time battlefield combat against randomly generated backgrounds. (Parameters for both sides will be balanced; melee weapons versus firearms are normal occurrences.)
Players' combat power will be quantified into 10-star simulated spirits, and they will bring four simulated spirits of their choice into the battlefield.

The victory condition is to destroy the enemy's main base or kill the commander.

In the game, if a player's simulated data or simulated memory spirit is killed, there will be a resurrection time of one to ten minutes, depending on the star rating.

Players can still receive the perspective of the simulated spirit while waiting for resurrection and command it in battle.

The final winner will be the champion of this competition.

After the game plan was finalized, Danlei used the mask to summon [Aha].

[Aha] I've been looking forward to Danlei's game for a long time, so I'm always ready to help.

Upon seeing [Aha] appear, Dan Lei immediately threw all the plans that Yu Zhaoli had prepared at him and told him to look at them himself.

As a star god, [Aha] naturally possesses the ability to read quickly, and was very satisfied after reading it.

Then [Aha] laughed loudly.
"Haha, interesting, interesting way to play."

"Danlei, you really treat me like a servant, don't you? You know how to include me in the fun instead of leaving me to watch from behind the scenes. It's so thoughtful of you."

Danlei refused again in response to [Aha]'s Nth attempt to recruit him.

"You're overthinking it. I just want to find an opportunity to torment you."

Even though it's just a game, being able to defeat [Aha] is something I can brag about for a while, isn't it?
However, I estimate you'll experience quite a few failures this year, and by then, even defeating [Aha] won't be worth much.

Upon hearing this, [Aha] continued to laugh.
"Hahaha, [Aha] is not afraid of failure. A fair game only brings joy. Even in the bitterness of defeat, I can still see the power."

[Aha] Danlei is not surprised to say that, after all, mourners are also a force of joy.

However, Danlei added here.

"【Aha】, before you recruit people, remember to extend the protection range to the entire galaxy."

Because you'll definitely bring in some really outrageous people.

By the way, the competition will last for a year, so make that clear to the people coming.

Also, besides those who want to have fun, remember to bring some skilled gamers; the excitement of the match depends on the number of skilled players.

Dan Lei here asked [Aha] to extend the protection range to the entire galaxy, mainly because he was afraid that someone would discover that they couldn't do anything inside the planet and would try to do something like attacking stars outside the galaxy.

This passage explicitly mentions Foehn; if [Aha] were to bring him here, and then the other party were to set the star on fire, Danlei would be blown up.

As for the game lasting a year, it doesn't actually affect the main storyline of the Star Iron Universe.

Danlei had only been back for about half a year, but due to the difference in gravity, twelve years had passed on Avalon.
Therefore, before the Avalon star system was slowly pulled to the vicinity of the Star Iron Universe by the Amber King's giant attractor disk, a year had passed here, while at most half a month had passed in the Star Iron Universe due to the difference in gravity.

As long as [Aha] can guarantee that the people he brings in will return instantly, it won't cause too much trouble.

As for the Star Train, returning from Avalon will not affect the main storyline progress.

[Aha] is very easy to talk to now, and since Danlei's requests were reasonable to begin with, he accepted them all.

However, [Aha] wouldn't be himself if he didn't cause trouble, as he replied...
"I understand, I understand."

Danlei, you focus on arranging the game; leave the recruitment to the seniors.

However, if you want to attract some gaming experts, one of those idiots' hammer fragments won't be enough.

Okay, I'll add another reward. This time's champion will be granted the title of Commander.

"The game champion would be a perfect fit as the envoy of pleasure."

Upon hearing this, Dan Lei broke out in a cold sweat and immediately added a sentence.

"Yes, but you must grant the champion the power to refuse the title of envoy in exchange for the power of blessing."

After all, isn't it quite amusing to have your envoy of pleasure directly rejected?

Upon hearing this, [Aha] immediately burst into laughter.

"Hahaha, Danlei, I'm going to have a talk with Old Ice Cube and Old Old Stick. You're really more suited to the joyful route."
