Speed God

Chapter 121 The light of the sword and the shadow of the sword

Chapter 121 The light of the sword and the shadow of the sword

incredible!

I racked my brains and searched every possible solution, but the word that finally came to mind was still—unbelievable!
Before the season kicked off, no one could have predicted that GP3 would present such a situation:

Eighteen drivers joined forces to besiege a street novice, but they still couldn't stop him. The young, promising talents who had received formal racing education since karting were helpless in front of a newbie driver who had been in the industry for less than six months. They could only watch as the rookie became king in their territory and swept away all their opponents.

This... left me speechless with emotion.

Even though it was just a mere GP3, it still caused a sensation. Everyone in the paddock, inside and out, was caught up in this storm.

This scene was probably something Marchionne hadn't anticipated. Jean Todt's sudden inspiration actually extended from the Ferrari academy all the way to the GP3 circuit.

Now, Marchionne's expectations have begun to rise steadily. Just how high can Lu Zhizhou, this intruder, reach? In the face of increasing pressure and constant encirclement, can Lu Zhizhou withstand the trials and tribulations and continue to transform and grow, shining like a diamond?
Not only Marchionne, but everyone in the paddock was observing, anticipating, and exploring, curious about how the story would unfold.

However, for the other GP3 riders, it was a disgrace, an utter disgrace, not only being relegated to a supporting role but also becoming a whetstone.

Obviously, nobody likes this situation.

Someone has to step up and stop Lu Zhizhou's winning streak, breaking the pattern where the entire GP3 hype and atmosphere revolves around Lu Zhizhou.

Sprint race!
This is why GP3 has a sprint race. A reverse grid start can disrupt the entire situation, forcing drivers who perform well in qualifying and the race to get into a chaotic battle instead of dominating the race.

Just look at Leclerc. He won three consecutive races in the main event, but struggled in the sprint races and had to face a tough battle.

The fundamental reason why Lu Zhizhou was able to ignite the entire paddock's attention was that he accomplished the impossible by winning two consecutive sprint races in Spain and Austria.

Now, it's time to stop this momentum.

Silverstone Circuit offers a moderate number of overtaking opportunities, but not too many either. Essentially, it tests a driver's ability to control the pace. Once the leading cars establish a lead, it becomes difficult for the cars behind to keep up, given that the performance differences between GP3 cars are not significant.

So, on the second day of the sprint race, all the drivers were sharpening their knives.

Furthermore, the opportunity has fallen into the hands of the Trident team, currently the only car setup that can keep up with the ART team's competitors.

In Saturday's race, Bokolaci had a run of bad luck. First, he was penalized for crashing into an opponent's rear wing near the end of the Austrian Grand Prix, resulting in a three-place penalty in qualifying and the loss of his hard-earned fourth place. Then, he was hit again during the race and veered off the track, losing his position once more.

Ultimately, he finished eighth, which was the only bright spot in the otherwise disastrous race, earning Bokolaci pole position in the sprint.

The paddock has always placed high hopes on Bokolaci. He is not only the biggest hope to compete with ART, but also the biggest main force against Lu Zhizhou. Bokolaci himself is also eager to break through ART's blockade with his performance on the track and open a window for his future racing career.

Additionally, Bokolać joined his Trident teammate, Alesi, in the starting lineup.

Finishing seventh in the main race gave Alesi an excellent opportunity to start second on the grid in the sprint.

Even without anyone fanning the flames, Alessi kept his eyes fixed on Lu Zhizhou, his fighting spirit to defeat Lu Zhizhou already burning fiercely.

Especially at Silverstone, it is a perfect fit for Alessi's fluid and aggressive style, where he is completely at home, with his abilities boosted by 20%.

Without a doubt, this is the best chance for the Trident team to achieve their first win of the season, and the entire team is eager to make it happen.

However, the Trident team needs to face Lu Zhizhou—

Lu Zhizhou, burdened with a mission and sharpening his sword, may be racing for the last time every time he appears on the track.

Silverstone Circuit is also a stage for Lu Zhizhou to showcase himself, allowing him to fully demonstrate his understanding of speed.

Flowing like clouds and flowing water. Swift as the wind and as fast as lightning.

The No. 2 race car, traveling on the Silverstone circuit, transformed into a streak of red and black light, flowing freely and gracefully, much like the lines in Van Gogh's painting of the starry night.

Everything was truly pleasing to the eye.

Lu Zhizhou once again demonstrated his incredible overtaking ability, starting eighth and speeding all the way up to catch up with Alesi in a grand and imposing manner.

Second place!

Bokolaci, who started from pole position in the sprint, had another run of bad luck. He got caught up in a battle at the first corner and collided with Alesi, losing most of his rear wing. He had no choice but to return to the pits and retire before even finishing the first lap. All the hopes of the Trident now rest on Alesi's shoulders.

After leading for most of the sprint, Lu Zhizhou caught up to second place with three laps left in the race, and Alessi felt immense pressure from Lu Zhizhou.

Alessi was on edge!
Faced with Lu Zhizhou's attack, Alessi was both extremely sensitive and aggressive. Amidst the layers of pressure and attacks, the memories of his dead came flooding back like a tidal wave.

Then, Alessi chose to take the risk.

On the right turn at number 15, Lu Zhizhou finally launched a fatal attack to overtake. He had already seized the inside line and his car had passed Alesi's rear wheel, gaining an advantage in the driving line. He was about to complete the overtake. Alesi, whose life was hanging by a thread, lost his mind and forcibly cut back and squeezed in.

The vehicles collided.

Lu Zhizhou drove off the track completely.

The entire audience gasped in astonishment!
However, Alessi didn't gain anything either; he lost his position and was picked up by the fisherman who had been closely following behind.

Han Shilong.

In the main race, Han Shilong, who was listless and distracted, finished fifth. He started fourth in the sprint race. After a night of adjustment, he rallied and performed well in Sunday's race, overtaking and climbing all the way up. Although he was unable to defend against Lu Zhizhou, he did not lose his position.

Seeing that Alessi, in a fit of rage, recklessly drove into the lane and caused a collision, Han Shilong seized the opportunity in a split second.

The situation suddenly turned around.

To make matters worse, Lu Zhizhou's car suffered damage to its front nose in the collision with Alesi, affecting downforce. This was fatal for Silverstone, as it not only dropped to third place but also rapidly narrowed the gap with its competitors, putting immense pressure on the defense.

Grass!
In the pit lane, Borrepeller lost control and swore out. Out of the corner of his eye, he could clearly see all the ART team staff clutching their heads, unable to believe their eyes. Anger, frustration, and irritability surged forth in the sweltering heat.

However, Borrepeller quickly regained his composure and turned on the radio, "Zhizhou, how's the car? Can it finish the race?"

0.1 seconds. 0.2 seconds.

There was no immediate response from Lu Zhizhou over the radio, and Borrepell's heart, which had been pounding in his chest, began to sink. He now wished he could tear Alessi apart alive. To try to stop Lu Zhizhou with such despicable and vile means was utterly shameless and truly an eye-opener.

But the real important thing is that he doesn't want to pay attention to Alessi; all his attention is on Lu Zhizhou.

"Fortunately, he is not Verstappen."

Finally, Lu Zhizhou's voice came over the radio. Borrepeller was slightly taken aback and took a full beat to realize that Lu Zhizhou was joking. If he were facing Verstappen at this moment, Lu Zhizhou would have already retired from the race. There would be no chance for him to stay on the track and continue racing.

but--

What kind of international joke is this? Lu Zhizhou is actually in the mood to joke now?

Borrepeller: !!!
“Pierre, the race isn’t over yet. As the race engineer, if you lose your composure, what am I supposed to do? It’s not over until you cross the finish line.”

"Right?"

Calm and composed—not only that, but you can also feel the high morale in Lu Zhizhou's voice.

Borrepeller's blood began to boil, and he quickly gathered his scattered thoughts, focusing once more. "Two laps left in the race. How bad is the damage to the front nose?"

"The left side panel of the front wing is broken and has fallen off. But there's no immediate impact. Besides that, is there any other damage to the race car?" Lu Zhizhou communicated quickly, every second counting.

Borrepeller: "No. I repeat, no. The data doesn't show any obvious problems. Zhizhou, you can do it!"

Judging from the current situation, Lu Zhizhou can still stay on the track and continue to compete, as the damage to his car is not severe enough to force him to retire from the race.

"How much is the distance between the cards in the back?" Lu Zhizhou glanced at the rearview mirror. Although he could directly feel the pressure from behind, he needed data to confirm it.

Borrepeller, “1.417”.

In a flash, Lu Zhizhou laid out the entire track layout in his mind. Han Shilong and Alesi were ahead, and he no longer had the strength to continue chasing them. Being greedy would likely result in nothing. Behind him, Nico Carri of the Alden team and Russell of ART were chasing.

So far this season, Pulcioni has been the best performer for Alden, but in fact, Carri is their number one driver, wearing the number five jersey and closely following Hubert.

Similar to Han Shilong's situation, Kari is trying to prove himself but is struggling. He is willing to seize every opportunity to win a chance for his career.

Now, the opportunity has arrived.

Currently, Lu Zhizhou and Kari are only 1.417 seconds apart. Considering Lu Zhizhou's current condition, they should be able to close the gap to within one second and enter the DRS range soon.

A crisis is imminent.

Without hesitation, Lu Zhizhou immediately asked, "Let's ask the team if Russell can put pressure on Carry?"

Closely following behind Cari was the ART driver; it would be foolish not to take advantage of his teammate.

“If Russell refuses, that’s fine. I just need to know the result and clarify my position,” Lu Zhizhou quickly added.

Borrepeller: "Received. Contact immediately."

Everything happened in just a few seconds, changing in an instant.

As soon as we passed Turn 18 and entered the starting straight, we could already see the Carri No. 5 car in the rearview mirror, with the difference being less than a second.

Not far ahead, at Turn 3, lies the first section of the DRS area of Silverstone Circuit.

Even if Russell is willing to help double-team Kari, Russell is still some distance from Kari, and it will take time for Russell to close the gap and apply pressure.

This means that Lu Zhizhou will have to rely on himself at Turn 3. If he can't hold his position, Lu Zhizhou believes that neither Carry nor Russell will show any mercy, and third place may slip directly to fifth place.

Despite the predicament, Lu Zhizhou remained remarkably calm, showing neither hesitation nor regret, and even a touch of excitement.

On a historically significant stage like Silverstone, we will encounter difficulties and face challenges, further explore our potential, and pursue the ultimate speed.

Isn't that exciting?
Sure enough, as expected, when passing through turn two, Lu Zhizhou could already see race car number five right in front of him, billowing smoke biting at his tail wing.

The DRS area is located on the straight after Turn 2 and before Turn 3.

Kari, DRS enabled.

The air was torn apart, and in an instant, you could see the No. 5 race car speeding up, pulling out of Lu Zhizhou's wake, cutting into the inside, and completely overtaking.

In that critical moment, Lu Zhizhou remained remarkably calm. In his rearview mirror, he could clearly see race car number five slamming into his field of vision like a cannonball, inching closer and closer to encroaching on his lane. If Lu Zhizhou were to force his way in at that moment, a foul would be a minor matter; mutual destruction would be the real issue.

He didn't want to retire on the penultimate lap of the race.

However, he was not prepared to back down. If he softened even slightly in the offensive and defensive battle, he would be utterly defeated.

Calm, composed, and focused.

Lu Zhizhou's breathing became steady, and he brought his boiling blood and wildly beating heart under control. He focused intently on feeling the track, as if water were flowing over his toes, fingertips, and skin.

Be patient, be even more patient.

Ten meters, eight meters, getting closer and closer to the apex of Turn 3. Just as Lu Zhizhou was about to burst straight out of Turn 3, all the spectators were on the edge of their seats. But then, with surgical precision, he made a right turn and cut inside, cleanly and neatly completing the extreme turn at the apex of Turn 3.

Car number two on the outside was almost right next to car number five on the inside, with car number five slightly ahead by half a car's length as it exited the corner.

But what follows is the challenging S-curve hairpin bend number four!

From one hairpin bend to another, the slow-motion control slows down the resonant energy of the entire venue, making everything seem like it's playing in ten times the slow speed.

It is clear that the car on the outside did not accelerate forcibly at Turn 2, but instead held its line tightly and held its position firmly. When entering Turn 4, it naturally took the advantage of the inside line, and instead blocked the car on the outside.

Time stands still.

Like racing on a high-altitude tightrope, it involuntarily makes you hold your breath and widen your eyes. You can clearly see the number two car clinging tightly to the apex of turn four, gradually eroding the disadvantage, overtaking, and taking the lead out of the turn. With a touch of the accelerator, it instantly shoots off, but it's still not over.

The No. 4 low-speed left turn connects to the No. 5 medium-speed left turn.

Lu Zhizhou remained vigilant, holding the inner lane tightly and delaying his braking again. He maximized the curvature of the inner corner of Turn 5, blocking the driving line and forcing Carri to take a larger corner and a longer line on the outside. After a hard-fought battle, he showed his strength and launched a counterattack.

Then, out of the bend, onto the straight road.

floor the accelerator, and the speed instantly reaches its peak!

The entire audience held their breath. It was clear that the No. 2 race car, with its front end damaged, was teetering on the brink of collapse, like driving on ice. It was barely holding on by speed and inertia. The slightest relaxation could have caused it to fall apart, but Lu Zhizhou managed to keep it under control.

Incredibly, it regained control, transforming into a streak of black and red light and flying out, unleashing its full speed without reservation on the straight road.

Kari was clearly caught off guard, and the gap widened rapidly at a visible speed. Before he could even blink, the two had already separated the two cars again. The surging airflow rushed between the two race cars like a flood, dragging Kari's heart into the abyss.

"incredible!"

Croft exploded in the live stream.

"He held on! Lu Zhizhou actually managed to hold onto his position in an unbelievable way. How did he do it?"

However, Croft had no time to think; the situation on the track could change in an instant—

Carry had no time for regret or confusion. In his rearview mirror, he could already see Russell lurking close behind, and a cold sweat instantly ran down his spine. In the combination of Turns 3, 4, and 5, Carry went all in, his attention entirely focused on Lu Zhizhou. After his attack failed, he couldn't block the lane. However, the ever-watchful Russell seized the opportunity, immediately closing in and preparing to overtake.

The shift from offense to defense, and the change of opponent from Lu Zhizhou to Russell, happened in the blink of an eye.

Immediately, Carry turned the steering wheel to the left, switching lanes and blocking Russell behind him, preparing to defend the approach to the left turn of Turn 6 ahead.

Behind him, Russell was completely focused—

He wasn't helping Lu Zhizhou; he was fighting for himself, for a chance to surpass Kari, and even Lu Zhizhou. Only a fool wouldn't try.

His goal is also to stand on the podium!
"Beautiful defense!" It wasn't until Lu Zhizhou passed the No. 8 high-speed bend and entered the straight that Borrepeller was finally able to catch his breath and offer Lu Zhizhou his praise.

Furthermore, the message was relayed: "George is attacking Nico, and Nico doesn't have time to attack you right now. Hold the lanes."

Lu Zhizhou's voice came through the radio, "Received."

Back and forth, neither side yielding an inch, the clash of swords filled the arena as they alternated between offense and defense, engulfing the entire Silverstone circuit in this scorching storm.

No one expected that, as the race neared its end, the sprint would reach a dramatic and exciting climax!
The last lap!
Lu Zhizhou, Carri, and Russell's three cars remained neck and neck, with each car within a second of the other, forming a tight race. The intense competition kept the suspense going until the very end, and the rankings could still be completely reshuffled before they crossed the finish line.

Heart pounding, tense and exciting, Croft's palms were sweaty. He never expected that a GP3 sprint race would be so intense.

More thrilling than a roller coaster.

Millions of eyes were fixed on the finish line, and the enthusiastic fans who had arrived early in the Silverstone Grandstand held their breath.

Han Shilong crossed the finish line first, followed closely by Alesi.

However, no one cheered, no one even cared; all eyes were fixed on the horizon.

At this moment, the first figure appeared at Turn 18—

"Lu Zhizhou!"

Croft roared instantly, raised his arms and shouted, and jumped up uncontrollably, only to be immediately drowned out by the frenzied cheers and screams from the main stands.

"Lu Zhizhou! Lu Zhizhou! Oh God!"

"Lu Zhizhou held his position, withstood the relentless attacks from Carri and Russell in the last two laps, tenaciously defended his position, and successfully finished the race!"

"Lu Zhizhou! Kari! Russell! Crossed the finish line one after another!"

"Unbelievable! Inconceivable!"

"Lu Zhizhou has once again delivered a spectacular performance!"

It was teetering on the brink of collapse, hanging by a thread.

However, Lu Zhizhou did it, narrowly holding his position and successfully finishing the race.

Finally, he crossed the finish line third.

Kari and Russell followed closely behind.

Lu Zhizhou led Carrie by 0.663 seconds, and Carrie led Russell by 0.578 seconds. They crossed the finish line in single file!
A truly narrow escape, a close call to once again stand on the podium, marking his podium finish in all three races of the season, both the main race and the sprint race!
However, this is still not the final result.

Although the match was over, the organizers still issued penalty instructions in accordance with the rules.

After investigation, the organizers determined that Alesi committed a defensive foul involving a malicious collision and was penalized with a ten-second penalty, which means adding ten seconds to his final time at the finish line.

As a result, Lu Zhizhou, who crossed the finish line 2.112 seconds behind Alesi, moved up one place to finish second.

Carry was drafted third, while Russell was fourth.

In other words, the ART team was just 0.578 seconds away from sweeping the podium, much to the amazement of Russell, and the paddock was once again filled with noise and excitement.

"The FIA has issued a penalty. Let's look at the replay and see which offensive and defensive play changed the game."

In the live stream, Croft immediately got into the zone, teaming up with his partner Brendel to analyze the situation, returning to the moment when his adrenaline was surging.

"From the slow-motion replay, Lu Zhizhou's attack was clean and efficient. He was constantly looking for opportunities and setting traps, striking at the right moment to deliver a fatal blow."

"Without a doubt, the driving line should belong to Lu Zhizhou. He not only occupied the inside line and held the apex of the corner, but also the front wheel of his car had already passed Alesi's rear wheel. This was a textbook overtake, and Lu Zhizhou's performance was flawless."

“Alesi was not calm or rational enough. He could have easily regained his position at Turns 16 and 17, but he refused to give it up. The responsibility for this collision lies entirely with Alesi. I believe the FIA made the correct decision.”

Not only in the live broadcast room, but also in the audience stands and the repair area, everyone was discussing this clash that rewrote the game. Although the game has ended, the hype has only just begun.

Borrepeller's tense nerves finally relaxed. The repair area, which had experienced ups and downs and come back from the brink of death, was filled with expressions of relief. Everyone hugged and high-fived each other in celebration, and kept patting Borrepeller on the shoulder to cheer him on and congratulate him.

Borrepeller was almost suffocating; he slumped onto the table, his body limp, gasping for breath.

When the impact occurred, he was almost ready to give up, but Lu Zhizhou did not.

In the midst of adversity and crisis, Lu Zhizhou turned the tide and saved the game. Borrepeller looked at his constantly trembling hands and couldn't help but chuckle.

Upon returning to the repair area, the first thing Lu Zhizhou did was not to look for Borrepeller, but to find Russell, who was drenched in sweat, in the crowd.

"George!" Lu Zhizhou called out loudly.

Russell stopped and looked at Lu Zhizhou, his expression revealing a sense of detachment. It was clear without words that he wanted to keep his distance.

Lu Zhizhou laughed, "Don't worry, I'm not going to give you a hug."

Russell delivered a dry joke in a flat tone, “Very good. That means we’ve reached a consensus. The British don’t like hugs.”

Lu Zhizhou paused for a moment, then said, "Thank you. Thank you for your help."

Without explanation or unnecessary words, only heartfelt gratitude, Lu Zhizhou sincerely thanked Russell, saying that without Russell's help, he probably wouldn't have been able to hold onto his position.

Russell paused for a moment, completely unprepared for this. "No need. I work for ART and just need to contribute to the team."

He paused for a moment, then added, "I'm trying to surpass Kari. If I have the chance, I'll surpass you too, and I won't hold back."

Lu Zhizhou, however, could sense the stubbornness of a teenager, and the curve of his lips became even more gentle. "I know. But thank you anyway."

After saying that, Lu Zhizhou did not linger and turned to leave.

Russell stared blankly at Lu Zhizhou's retreating figure, muttered something as if trying to say something, but ultimately remained silent. He straightened his back slightly, raised his head, and turned to leave.

Buzzing, buzzing—

The entire paddock was in an uproar, filled with exclamations of amazement.

Unlike the main competition, yet similar in some ways, although everyone knew that Lu Zhizhou's winning streak couldn't continue indefinitely, and the sprint race was meant to narrow the gap, create chaos, and increase excitement; but no one expected it to end in such a regrettable way.

One hundred percent unexpected.

However, when I actually saw that the "Myth of Lu Zhi Zhou" had come to a temporary end, I didn't feel the excitement and joy I had imagined. Instead, I felt a little regretful.

Just like in the Baku F2 race, where Leclerc came within a hair's breadth of a double victory, narrowly missing the chance, a truly regrettable moment, the same applies here. He was only half a car length away from witnessing history, a historic moment within reach slipping through his fingers, and in such a way—

A sigh. A regretful lament. A sigh of relief.

My emotions were boiling, but after the initial sighs, praise and admiration surged forth, not only failing to subside but intensifying—

"So close, just a tiny bit off."

"Unbelievable, he almost did it. If it weren't for Alessi's crazy foul of forcing his way in, I doubt anyone could have stopped him."

"This is practically Michael Jordan's treatment; fouling is the only way to stop him."

"The defense in the last two laps, with the damaged front wing, was absolutely masterful."

"Their handling of the crisis was truly remarkable; they didn't act like babysitters at all."

Imagine, on Silverstone Circuit, Lu Zhizhou actually started from eighth place and chased all the way to second place, and almost overtook and took the lead.

Imagine that Alessi is willing to commit a foul and go down with him, and Lu Zhizhou suffers a blow, but still manages to suppress the competitors behind him with his damaged nose, holding his position with toughness and ferocity. He shows calm courage in the face of difficulties and desperate situations, which is even more dazzling than the victory itself.

Imagine Alesi sacrificing himself to stop Lu Zhizhou's winning streak. Alesi does indeed sacrifice himself, incurring a ten-second penalty and dropping from second to ninth place, just out of the points zone. The ambitious Trident team fails to score anything in the sprint race, while Lu Zhizhou steadily holds second place, teaming up with Han Shilong to once again secure a top-two finish for the ART team. There's no harm in comparison.

A crisis may be the beginning of annihilation for some, but for others it may be an opportunity to shine.

The more dangerous, chaotic, and extreme the situation, the more it truly tests a person's abilities—something you can't see in practice matches or simulators.

Unlike any previous race, the Silverstone Sprint once again revealed another side of Lu Zhizhou, showcasing his true essence beneath the surface. This was more convincing than any words and more valuable than any victory.

The GP3 Silverstone Sprint Race has come to a close, and the paddock is churning like boiling water, with waves of heat spreading everywhere.

Alessi took off his helmet, seething with anger. He had just been berated by the team leader over the radio, and the nameless fire in his chest was about to explode.

How could that be? How could it be his fault? How could he be punished with ten seconds?

Shady!

It must be a cover-up!

In fact, the team leader had already informed them that the team would not appeal and that they would accept the penalty. The FIA's ruling was correct. At that time, Lu Zhizhou's front wheel had already passed Alesi's rear wheel and occupied the lane, so the lane belonged to Lu Zhizhou. Lu Zhizhou legally overtook Alesi. Alesi's defensive cutback was irrational and constituted a liability accident. This is why he gave Alesi a severe dressing down. This collision caused the Trident to go home empty-handed in today's sprint race.

However, Alessi didn't hear any of this; he only had one thought in his mind: Lu Zhizhou would ruin his match.

"what!"

He roared and slammed his helmet to the ground, but he still couldn't vent the anger in his chest. All he wanted to do now was smash and crush something.

"Ahhh!"

Ahead, Alessi saw the cars neatly parked in front of the podium, corresponding to first, second, and third place respectively. His anger exploded instantly and he could no longer control himself. He strode forward, moved the "Second" sign placed in front of car number two, and threw it aside.

Ignoring the stunned looks on the faces of the ART team staff next to him, Alessi turned around and saw Lu Zhizhou wiping his sweat.

Boom.

The string in his mind snapped. Before Alessi could even react, he was already in front of Lu Zhizhou, revealing a ferocious smile.

"Hehe, how does it feel? Feeling completely disoriented after being hit? Are you trembling with fear? I'm a bit strong, so just bear with it."

"It's okay to cry if you want to. No one will laugh at you. It's the first time for everything. You'll get used to it after a few more times."

It was ferocious, sharp, and had its blood-red maw wide open.

Alessi had had enough of Lu Zhizhou's pretentious act. He did it on purpose, wanting to provoke Lu Zhizhou and show everyone Lu Zhizhou's true colors in public. This guy was definitely not the legendary genius boy who carried a mission and endured humiliation.

However, Alessi was disappointed.

Lu Zhizhou showed neither anger nor resentment. He raised an eyebrow slightly, a smile gradually spreading across his eyes. "That's it?"

Alessi choked.

Lu Zhizhou shrugged lightly. "To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. You should have hit harder. Either don't do it at all, or go all out. This half-hearted approach is not manly at all."

Lu Zhizhou glanced at Alessi lightly from head to toe, without even touching him, and said with a sigh of regret, "Heh, it seems that not just anyone can become Max Verstappen."

It hit the nail on the head.

Alesi's biggest enemy is Verstappen. Both are "second-generation drivers," but Jos Verstappen's status in the industry is nowhere near that of Jean Alesi. Yet, in the head-to-head competition between their sons, Verstappen completely overshadows Alesi, making him feel inferior.

Alessi, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, yelled, "You're the one who's Vestapan... damn it!" He had been holding his breath in his chest, but he couldn't control himself and it all burst out. He spoke recklessly, losing all reason. All that was left in his ears was a buzzing sound, and he didn't even have any recollection of what he had said.

Not far away, the team members and media reporters all stared in disbelief at the furious Alesi, who launched into a tirade against the innocent-looking Lu Zhizhou. The foul language, which came from English to French to Italian, swept across the scene, making one wonder if the underage drivers next to him should cover their ears.

Finally, after venting all his anger, Alessi was still not satisfied. He clenched his fists and punched the air, roaring with all his might as he turned and stormed off. He was worried that if he stayed there any longer, he might do something he couldn't control. His burning rage was almost visible to the naked eye.

Lu Zhizhou stood there like an innocent lamb, wiping his sweat, picking up his water bottle to replenish his fluids, and only after Alessi turned and left did he begin to walk away leisurely and unhurriedly.

Clearly, this was a match they hadn't anticipated; at the same time, it was a Lu Zhizhou they had never seen before.

New things keep popping up one after another, one after another, making it hard to digest them all at once.

The entire audience was stunned.

Then, outside the fence, a voice broke the silence, a clear and energetic shout that shattered the oppressive heat.

"Lu Zhizhou! What a fantastic match!"
