Lu Mingfei, become the King of Elden!

Chapter 128 I'm a Bad Guy

Chapter 128 I'm a Bad Guy
After obtaining his enhanced Storm Knight Greatsword from Xiu Gu, Lu Mingfei immediately embarked on his journey.

Following the path described by Neferi, Lu Mingfei arrived directly at the blessing point north of Yakirhu through the blessing, summoned the spirit horse Toret, and proceeded along the wide road.

The journey was smooth and unobstructed; Lu Mingfei encountered almost no enemies before arriving at the iconic building.

Sacrifice Bridge.

Lu Mingfei reined in his horse and stopped, gazing at the military checkpoint spanning the river from afar.

The defenses here are quite strong, with barricades placed on both sides completely blocking the bridge, making it very difficult to run and dodge on horseback.

The Grik soldiers guarding the bridge were numerous and well-equipped, including sword and shield soldiers, spear and shield soldiers, and a huge ballista placed at the end of the bridge, facing forward, which could easily shoot through any invading enemy.

Lu Mingfei scratched his head, patted Torret's neck, and asked:
"Old Tor, do you want to just charge straight in, or just charge straight in?"

Torret flicked his mane and let out a disdainful snort.

It was as if it were saying, "Look at you, are you even speaking human language?"

Lu Mingfei seemed to realize that directly charging the card was a bit too unfriendly to Toret, and shook his head with an embarrassed smile:

"Okay, I was too naive. Neferi said the ballistae here are equipped with explosive bolts. If we rush straight in, we'll probably be blown to bits."

"However, compared to the defenses of Stoneville, it's not particularly difficult."

Lu Mingfei muttered:

"Alright, alright, since you're not willing to charge in, then I'll just go for the unparalleled one, won't I?"

With that, he dismounted, and with a long whistle, Torret's figure disappeared from the spot.

bass!
Lu Mingfei drew two gleaming, lost knight's greatswords from behind his back, their blades polished to a gleaming shine.

The Grek soldiers on the bridge had already noticed the uninvited guest.

The swordsmen and shieldmen quickly formed ranks, the pikemen set up their weapons, and the ballistae began to adjust their firing angles.

But Lu Mingfei was faster than them.

whoosh-

As a grayish-white stream of air erupted from Lu Mingfei's body, he shot out like a giant crossbow bolt, his greatsword drawing two silver arcs at his sides.

Before the sword-and-shield soldiers at the front could react, a terrifying tremor came from their shields, followed by a blur before their eyes—

clang!
The soldier was actually cleaved into the air by the two silver beams of light, then his vision went black and he lost consciousness.

Seeing the horrific state of their comrades, the pikemen roared and thrust out their weapons, their sharp spear tips instantly forming a jungle of death.

however--

boom!
As Lu Mingfei took a step forward, the combat technique called Storm Foot instantly displayed its power, knocking the soldiers off balance and then reaping them one by one.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye. Before the soldiers operating the giant ballista could react, most of the defenses on the bridge had vanished in an instant.

Lu Mingfei pulled the greatsword from the soldier's chest without expression, and the operator finally completed the aiming.

Huge crossbow bolts hurtled in with a whistling sound, while explosives strapped to the swords hissed.

boom--

The shockwave from the explosion blasted a large crater in the bridge, sending up plumes of smoke and dust. Just as the soldiers were about to cheer, they saw a figure leap high into the air from the smoke and dust.

The blade began to tremble violently, and a piercing wail echoed through the air.

Stormblade!
Two intersecting sword energies swept across the bridge like a hurricane.

The barricades were torn to shreds, soldiers were blown away like fallen leaves, and the ballista supports groaned under the strain before finally collapsing with a crash.

Lu Mingfei slowly exhaled a breath of stale air, sheathing his two swords. Behind him lay a chaotic bridge surface, scattered weapons, and silent soldiers. Toret's figure quietly appeared, nudging its back gently with its nose.

"How about it?"

Lu Mingfei grinned, his face beaming with smug satisfaction.

"Handsome, right?"

Torret couldn't speak, he just hummed and exhaled two puffs of air from his nostrils, his eyes seeming to say: So-so.

"You guy."

Lu Mingfei muttered to himself, first lighting up the blessing point not far from the bridgehead, then mounting his horse:
"Let's go, along the main road, Moen City is waiting for us."

After crossing the sacrificial bridge, the rest of the journey is relatively easy.

The roads here are wide, and there isn't a single person in sight, let alone enemies, or even animals like wolves or sheep.

Lu Mingfei rode along the main road for almost half a day, and in the distance, he seemed to see a figure sitting by the roadside.

He looks like a normal person who still retains consciousness.

Could they be someone who escaped from Moen City?

Lu Mingfei tugged at the reins, causing Torret to slowly stroll closer.

Her beautiful, light golden hair was tied into a ponytail and cascaded down her back. A few strands of hair were stuck to her pretty face with sweat. A linen robe wrapped around her graceful body, and she wore a pair of black leather boots.

She sat quietly by the roadside with her arms crossed, exuding the air of a noblewoman, yet dressed like a witch.

Hearing the approaching sound of horses' hooves, the girl turned her head and looked in the direction from which the sound came.
Lu Mingfei was stunned.

She was a blind woman.

The strip of cloth wrapped around her eyes clearly showed this.

He gently reined in Torret, stopping the spirit horse a short distance from the girl. The setting sun had turned her pale golden hair amber, and her slightly tilted head, alert expression, made her look like a startled fawn.

Is anyone there?

The girl asked softly.

Lu Mingfei dismounted and deliberately made his footsteps heavy so that the blind girl could hear him.

“Hello,” he greeted politely, “I’m a passerby who’s been passing by.”

Upon hearing the voice of the person who had entered, the girl's tense shoulders relaxed slightly.

Her hands, crossed above her knees, gripped her skirt slightly.

“Please, listen to me. My name is Elena, and I escaped from the southern city of Moen.”

Lu Mingfei's heart skipped a beat. They really did escape from Moen City; it seemed Neferi's information was accurate.

“The servants in the city have rebelled,” the girl’s voice trembled slightly. “I was born blind, so I can’t understand what’s happening. But I hear terrifying screams coming from all directions.”

The girl suddenly raised her face. Although her face was covered by a cloth, Lu Mingfei felt her gaze fall on his face.

“My father told me to escape, but he stayed in the city himself. He said it was the duty of those in power.”

Lu Mingfei crouched down, bringing his line of sight to Elena's. He noticed that the girl's skirt was covered in mud, and her leather boots were badly worn, clearly indicating that her escape had not been easy.

Aren't you afraid I'm a bad person?

He asked, half-jokingly.
