Chapter 19 Dump Trucks!
Lu Mingfei suddenly opened his eyes and found himself still kneeling in front of the altar, his inner shirt completely soaked with cold sweat.

"Awake?" a familiar voice called out.

The old knight squatted down in front of him:

"It's much faster than expected."

Lu Mingfei raised his hand blankly.

The scales on his skin are receding. But when he concentrates, those black scales appear and disappear.

Even more amazingly, it felt as if a flame was burning inside my body, which I could summon at any time.

"This is."

"Dragon Transformation".

The old knight stood up and slowly said:

"It seems your lineage is more special than I imagined."

Lu Mingfei looked up, puzzled, and asked:

"Aren't all Dragon Warriors like this?"

The old knight shook his head:
"Your scales come from yourself, not from the dragon."

He didn't say much, but simply turned and walked deeper into the church:

"Rest tonight, and start adapting to the new strength tomorrow."

Lu Mingfei, leaning against the statue, stood up and suddenly realized that his perception of the world had become exceptionally clear:
He could see every crack on the statue a hundred meters away and hear the sound of every blade of grass rustling in the night wind.

It's somewhat like a mutated version of the Word of Power: Kamaitachi.

As Lu Mingfei thought to himself, he clenched his fist again and tentatively punched the wall next to him.

Bang!
click-

The first sound of fine cracking was heard, and spiderweb-like cracks suddenly spread from the center of the fist, completely disintegrating the already crumbling brick and stone structure.

Boom!

That section of the dilapidated stone wall collapsed completely.

Lu Mingfei stared wide-eyed at his fist, then at the collapsed stone wall:
"Fuck."

"Holy shit, holy shit!"

"I'm practically a superhuman!"

"No, no, no! Ah! Teacher, I was wrong! Please stop hitting me! Please stop hitting me!"
-
Standing at the entrance to the border heroes' cemetery, Lu Mingfei watched as the dump truck that had come roaring in turned around and sped away, and couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement.

He touched his helmet, the cold touch reminding him of the old knight's words from the previous night.

"Kid, if you truly want to master the power of the Dragon's Blessing, you'll have to make a trip to the border heroes' graveyard."

The old knight threw a piece of firewood into the campfire, the firelight illuminating his wrinkled face:
"Hidden there is the most primal Dragon Offering Mark, capable of helping you master and strengthen the Dragon Offering Prayer, even more powerful than the one I have."

Lu Mingfei remembers almost falling off the rock at that time:

"Old man, you want me to go grave robbing??"

"fart!"

The old knight slapped him on the back of the head:
"We're going to retrieve the lost legacy!"

"The Border Heroes Cemetery is the grave of General Oregon!"

He and Ingwell were known as the Storm King's Twin Wings, and he was originally the chief of the Knights. Although he joined the Blessed King's forces and became a pawn used by the Golden Family to hunt down those who betrayed the law, he was still a hero of his time!
How could I possibly ask you to rob his grave!

Standing before the tomb, Lu Mingfei stared at the rumbling chariot, his golden eyes practically turning into dead fish eyes, and he dared not take a single step into the tomb passage.

"If I get hit by this thing, won't I be reincarnated into an alternate world that's even more terrifying than the Borderlands?" Lu Mingfei complained. "I don't want that kind of thing to happen!"

Despite saying this, Lu Mingfei took a deep breath and, taking advantage of the moment the chariot turned around, followed behind it, beginning a resolute marathon battle.

As the armor plates clanged, Lu Mingfei ran halfway through the tomb passage and discovered that there was a bridge-like opening at intervals for hiding.

"Great!"

Lu Mingfei quickly turned around and hid under the bridge, trying to rest for a while.

However.
puff!

A crossbow bolt flew from behind and pierced his buttocks. "Damn it!" Lu Mingfei cried out in pain and turned around, only to find a soldier who didn't exist, like a spirit, standing on the other side of the tomb passage.

He angrily raised his greatsword, ready to go up and kill this ungrateful little soldier who dared to steal his butt, when the dump truck roared past once again!

never mind!

Lu Mingfei had no choice but to continue forward with tears in his eyes.

"The designer of this place is an absolute freak!"

But to everyone's surprise, there was another spirit-like soldier in the next bridge arch! Fortunately, Lu Mingfei was quick to react and took it down with a single sword strike.

The road to the border heroes' cemetery is very long.

Lu Mingfei ran, dodged, and slashed monsters all the way, experiencing countless thrilling escapes, and finally saw an archway at the end of the road.

call!
Lu Mingfei let out a long sigh of relief.

When you're seriously exploring an ancient tomb, you're suddenly blown away by a chariot—this is probably one of the daily occurrences for the Faded Ones.

But the way of dying by being crushed into mincemeat is too painful and too ugly, so it would be best to avoid it if possible.

He slowly drew his greatsword and cautiously peered out.

A white spirit, kneeling with its back to him, was clad in the familiar Storm Knight heavy armor.

There was one difference: it wasn't wearing a helmet, but instead had a hood covering its neck and head.

Behind the knight was the Storm Knight's standard greatsword and a shield he had never seen before. The shield was decorated with four sections, depicting dragons and thorns.

Lu Mingfei recalled the old knight's words:

"If you encounter a knight dressed like you in the graveyard, do not show mercy. They have lost their minds; they are just a pathetic group of people who cannot return to the tree, left only with obsession, who wander the graveyard day and night guarding their leader."

Killing them might not be a bad way to find relief.

With that thought in mind, Lu Mingfei no longer hesitated. He picked up the Greatsword of the Lost Knight with both hands and slowly stepped into the inner room.

Hearing the stranger's movements, the Storm Knight, now in spirit form, stood up, drew his greatsword with a "whoosh," equipped his shield, and then turned around.

Two knights dressed identically, one wielding a sword in both hands, the other holding a sword and shield, stood facing each other in silence.

The two generations of the Storm Knights met here.

Despite being knights of the same origin, when they met, there were no pleasantries, greetings, or embraces; instead, there was only a life-or-death struggle.

Lu Mingfei held his breath and focused intently, his golden eyes blazing with light, and a storm slowly gathered around the sword.

Then, in one fell swoop, it was unleashed.

Combat Technique: Storm Blade!

The sword formed from the storm tore through the air and charged straight toward the spirit storm knight.

The knight raised his shield to block the hurricane, and at the same time, he took a step forward and slashed his sword straight at Lu Mingfei!

Lu Mingfei easily dodged to the side.

The two had different fighting styles. The Spirit Knight was clearly a sword and shield user, while Lu Mingfei had learned the dual-sword technique of the old knight. However, his strength was too weak, and even today he still had to use both hands to wield the greatsword.

However, their swordsmanship is of the same origin.

Sparks flew as the swords clashed.

Lu Mingfei's sword, carrying a storm, struck the spirit knight's shield again.

clang--

The shield, adorned with dragon and phoenix patterns, emitted a clanging sound.

The next second, the knight stomped down and then delivered a shield bash, creating a howling hurricane around him, which pushed Lu Mingfei off balance.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the spirit knight raised his sword and swept it horizontally.

boom!
Lu Mingfei hastily raised his sword to block, but was so shaken that he staggered backward.

He shook his numb wrist, his fighting spirit growing even stronger.

He recognized the all-too-familiar move: 'Summon the Storm'!
The only difference was that his opponent used a sword and shield variation, while he had learned the dual-sword version.
