Chapter 214 Breaking the Stalemate

Chapter 214 Breaking the Stalemate (Fourth Update)
Seeing Wei Zhaohua's calm and composed expression, Qin Ziwen said nothing.

“Okay.” Qin Ziwen hesitated for a moment, “Teacher Wei, please observe her for the next few days to see if there are any side effects.”

Wei Zhaohua patted his chest and assured him, "President, don't worry! If this fruit doesn't have any side effects, then it definitely doesn't!"

Qin Zi glanced at him a few more times, "You know what you're doing."

He glanced back at the mysterious little tree in the farmland.

Then I thought of the giant cave toad in the first map, which was far larger than its kind and so big it was terrifying.

The initial guess was that this fruit could prolong life, and that after long-term consumption, the giant toad's lifespan would exceed that of its kind, which would then cause it to grow larger and larger. However, upon reflection, this guess now seems to have many flaws.

If an animal has the ability to grow indefinitely as long as it has a long enough lifespan, this is something that ordinary animals cannot possess. Although the cave giant toad has the characteristic of being able to grow and develop over time, there must be an extreme value for it.

The growth of ordinary animals is locked by three upper limits: physical laws, physiological structure, and ecological constraints. They will eventually stop at a certain size limit, which is in line with the laws of nature.

Therefore, compared to fruits that can increase lifespan, fruits that can directly increase body size are more logical.

"I never expected the breakthrough would be here." Qin Ziwen murmured, shaking his head. Who would have thought that his breakthrough to the extraordinary realm was related to a plant he dug out of a cave a month ago?

Hopefully, the growth effect of the fruit will be more noticeable; otherwise, if this batch of fruit cannot help Blackie grow to 80 tons, it will be another month before the next batch of fruit matures.

"President, Zou Jianghe wants to see you." Jia Liangcai walked over quickly and announced the news.

Qin Ziwen, holding Hei Zai in his arms, said, "Bring him in."

"Haha, I heard from the people below that the harpy eagle has returned, so I guessed that it was Chairman Qin who came back ahead of time. I haven't congratulated Chairman Qin on completing another level two mission yet." Before he arrived, his voice preceded his arrival. Zou Jianghe, dressed in a formal suit, came in.

"President Zou, please sit down." Qin Ziwen held Hei Zai in his left arm and opened his right hand, gesturing for Zou Jianghe to sit down.

Zou Jianghe's originally calm expression became somewhat distorted upon seeing Hei Zai.

He stared at Blackie, "Is that a baby Tarbosaurus?!"

"Yes."

"I can help you tame it. Would you like to keep it with me?" Zou Jianghe asked tentatively.

"That won't be necessary. Besides, I have a special connection with it. It probably sees me as its father. It listens to me even without being trained." Qin Ziwen gently lifted Hei Zai, whose head was resting on his shoulder. Hei Zai made soft whimpering noises, its little tail wiggling. It adjusted itself into a comfortable position, its two little paws guarding its chest, and slept soundly.

Zou Jianghe regretfully withdrew his gaze, "Alright then."

He picked up the cool water on the table to moisten his throat, as if only then remembering the purpose of his visit. "The one-clawed dragons that Chairman Qin entrusted to me to tame are almost tamed. According to the agreement, half of them are yours. I brought them here today. Chairman Qin, would you like to go downstairs and take a look?"

"So fast." Qin Ziwen got up and went to the balcony. Looking down from the balcony, he saw a young man wearing a hat holding a rope. At the other end of the rope were three single-clawed dragons standing quietly in place.

A crowd gathered around the young man. Some of the children were quite bold; seeing that the one-clawed dragon didn't react, they mustered their courage and went forward to try and pet it.

The one-clawed dragon instantly turned its head, opened its mouth full of sharp teeth, and the child screamed and hid in the adult's arms.

“Let him bring the dinosaur up,” Qin Ziwen said.

“Alright, I’ll call him up.” Zou Jianghe chuckled, and soon, the young man wearing a hat and mask led the three-clawed dragons to the door. The one-clawed dragons seemed to remember Qin Ziwen, and upon seeing him, they took two steps back in fear.

Qin Ziwen noticed that these single-clawed dragons were not very large and did not seem to be adult single-clawed dragons. "Are these all juvenile dragons?"

“Yes, they are all young dragons. Adults are difficult to tame. There is no adult one-clawed dragon that can be tamed yet. Through our experiments, we found that young dragons are the easiest to tame.” Zou Jianghe looked at Hei Zai in Qin Ziwen’s arms.

Zou Jianghe took the rope from the man in the baseball cap and handed it to Qin Ziwen. "These one-clawed dragons are yours. If there are any other young dragons that need help taming, you can come to me. As we agreed before, half of them will be yours after taming."

Qin Ziwen took the rope and suddenly asked, "By the way, Chairman Zou, what commands can these one-clawed dragons understand? Won't they suddenly turn against me and bite me?"

Zou Jianghe said, "How could that be! They can understand simple commands like forward, backward, sit down, and sleep. Besides, they're not timid. As long as you're a little fierce, they'll obey."

Qin Ziwen held the rope in his hand, and because of the length of the rope, the three-headed single-clawed dragon had to be kept at a certain distance from him.

But their bodies trembled incessantly, as if they wanted to get away from him, yet they were tightly bound by the rope.

In the end, this created a peculiar scene.

The rope was taut, and the three one-clawed dragons stood on one leg on the ground and the other leg was hanging in the air, leaning forward to keep their distance from him as much as possible.

Qin Ziwen glanced down at Hei Zai.

He knew that the one-clawed dragon was most likely not afraid of him, but rather of Blackie.

Even a newly hatched Tarbosaurus is still a Tarbosaurus.

One is at the top of the food chain in this Gobi Desert, and the other is in the middle or lower part of the food chain in this Gobi Desert.

There are several ecological levels between the two.

Qin Ziwen said, "President Zou, I see you're hesitant to speak. If you have something to say, just say it. I need to rest for a while and then I have to go back."

Zou Jianghe laughed heartily, "As expected, I couldn't hide it from you. I wonder what Chairman Qin thinks of these three single-clawed dragons we've tamed? Aren't they quite spirited?"

But as soon as he finished speaking, a hint of embarrassment appeared on his face as he looked at the one-clawed dragon.

One of the one-clawed dragons had transformed into "Luotuo Xiangzi," constantly dropping chocolate beans, while a faint, foul smell permeated the air.

It not only urinated, it also defecated.

Qin Ziwen leaned back, and Jia Liangcai quickly called for people to come and clean up the filth.

Zou Jianghe said awkwardly, "Well... President Qin, your Tyrannosaurus Rex is still too authoritative. These Monoclawed Dragons are timid and scared to death. But after our testing over the past few days, we have found that Monoclawed Dragons are still very effective in assisting hunting."

First, they have an extremely keen sense of smell, like a hunter's hound, allowing them to detect prey or danger in advance. They are also adept at running in mountainous terrain, able to traverse quickly even in dense forests. Their small size is actually an advantage; they don't eat much and are easy to care for. Having one or two Monoclawed Dragons in a hunting party can be helpful in assisting with hunting.

Moreover, it is currently only a single-clawed dinosaur. If some larger animals could be domesticated, they would not only be useful for reconnaissance, but they might also become our helpers or even main force in hunting.

Our animal training capabilities are unparalleled in the community! I wonder if Chairman Qin would be willing to cooperate and jointly build an industry chain for animal training services?
