Chapter 174 Lifted

Chapter 174 Lifted (Bonus Chapter for the Alliance Leader's Hypocritical Simp) (Third Update)

Along the way, Longming saw some exploration teams, some driving off-road vehicles and some riding motorcycles.

These exploring players all stared warily at Long Ming.

Long Ming also tried to stay as far away from them as possible. There are no cameras in the wild, so if you get killed, there's nowhere to complain. You just die for nothing.

Time passes little by little.

Long Ming rode his off-road motorcycle across the wasteland, the surroundings becoming increasingly desolate, and gradually no one could be seen anymore.

Because the terrain of the Buko Mountains, which Long Ming went to, was very complex and was a primeval forest, and no large ruins had been found, basically no one went in that direction.

Although the intelligence of the civilians is not as good as that of the military, they are not stupid. If the military doesn't go in a certain direction, they naturally won't go in that direction either.

Ten hours later.

Long Ming rode his off-road motorcycle and stopped outside the Bukoo Mountains.

A dense primeval forest came into view.

Long Ming turned his head and looked around to make sure no one was there. Then he took out the Red Ghost Mask from his backpack and put it on. He then replaced the Shadow Automatic Rifle with a carbine, changed the magazine on his tactical belt, and put on tactical gloves and power boots.

After changing his gear, Long Ming hid the off-road motorcycle and then went inside alone.

Inside the forest, there were only dead branches and decaying leaves.

As Long Ming walked by, he occasionally heard a cracking sound, but otherwise it was very quiet, not even the chirping of insects.

This unusual silence made his nerves tense.

Long Ming continued walking deeper into the area, marking the tree trunks along the way with his Death Fang every so often to prevent himself from getting lost.

However, as they went deeper, the trees became denser, blocking out the sunlight and making the light increasingly dim.

Long Ming did not back down because of this. Instead, he searched deeper and deeper, carefully looking for clues about the ruins.

The following afternoon.

Long Ming gripped his carbine as he moved through the forest.

Sasha~
At that moment, a slight sound came from the surrounding trees.

If it were a normal person, they would subconsciously think it was the sound of the wind.

Long Ming, however, keenly noticed the subtle difference in the voice and immediately became alert.

He activated the thermal sensor on the Red Demon Mask, turned his head to look around, and immediately saw a red figure moving on the tree branches, silently approaching him.

Without hesitation, Long Ming raised his carbine and fired fiercely.

bang bang~
A hail of bullets pierced through the leaves.

The unidentified creature darted away like a blur, leaping onto other tree branches and using the dense foliage to conceal itself.

Unfortunately, this had no effect on Long Ming.

The red demon mask's heat-sensing device keeps it constantly exposed.

Long Ming moved his gun barrel rapidly and kept firing. No matter how fast the monster moved, it was still hit by bullets.

"Ow~"

With a roar of resentment, the monster turned and fled at lightning speed.

Long Ming frowned as he saw the other party escape.

This monster took so many shots but was unharmed and managed to escape; it must be extremely dangerous.

However, Long Ming did not chase after it, since he came in to search, not to hunt, and killing monsters would not yield any benefits.

He continued walking forward, gripping his carbine.

Night time.

Long Ming found a big tree and sat down, leaning his back against the trunk.

He took out a pack of compressed biscuits and bottled water from his backpack, eating them while gazing into the distance.

Although he has found nothing so far, Long Ming is not discouraged. He came back prepared for a long search.

I just don't know if it will succeed in the end.

Long Ming quickly finished eating the compressed biscuits and replenished his energy.

He then held the carbine in his hand, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

It's unclear how much time passed. A figure silently crept towards Long Ming.

Click~
Then came the faint sound of branches cracking.

Long Ming suddenly opened his eyes.

In an instant, a blood-red figure pounced down from the tree.

Long Ming instinctively flipped to the side to dodge the sneak attack, then quickly stood up and looked over by pressing his left hand against the ground.

A two-meter-tall, humanoid creature covered in red, fleshy scales, with sharp claws and an ugly face came into view.

"Damn it! It's the one from during the day."

Long Ming's expression turned cold, and he suddenly pulled the trigger, firing a barrage of shots.

bang bang~
The figure darted away at incredible speed and disappeared into the night.

Long Ming immediately activated the Red Ghost thermal sensing device and quickly looked around. Sure enough, he saw a figure moving rapidly.

He immediately gripped the carbine, moved the muzzle, and fired rapid bursts.

bang bang~
The monster dodged quickly, but was still hit by bullets.

But this guy was like an unkillable cockroach; he survived so many bullets and instead hid behind a big tree and stayed put.

Long Ming approached slowly, then pulled out a high-explosive grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it after counting down.

Boom~
As the explosion rose, the monster darted away at incredible speed.

Without the slightest hesitation, Long Ming moved his carbine and fired in bursts.

bang bang~
One, two, three.

Bullets kept hitting the target.

Kaka!

The magazine was emptied.

Long Ming then removed the magazine and pulled out a magazine from his tactical belt.

At that moment, the monster seized the opportunity when Long Ming was reloading and charged towards him at an extremely fast speed.

Long Ming's lips curled up slightly. He suddenly stopped changing the magazine and pulled the trigger at the attacking monster.

boom!
A grenade was fired.

Boom~
With a huge explosion, the monster was blasted straight away and crashed heavily to the ground.

Long Ming quickly changed the magazine and raised his gun to point it at the monster.

The monster lay motionless on the ground.

Long Ming's eyes turned cold, and he pulled the trigger without hesitation!
bang bang~
Bullets struck the monster's corpse, splattering blood and flesh.

However, the monster's corpse did not react at all.

Upon seeing this, Long Ming cautiously approached to see if there was anything valuable.

Just as he approached, the monster suddenly opened its scarlet eyes and leaped up to pounce on Long Ming without warning.

Long Ming's heart skipped a beat, and he held the carbine horizontally.

The monster's sharp claws, gripping the carbine, slammed Long Ming to the ground.

Long Ming gritted his teeth and held on desperately.

Then he noticed that the monster's abdomen was slightly bulging, so he pulled out the Death Fang and stabbed it in.

"Ow~"

The monster immediately let out a painful howl, abandoned its attack on Long Ming, and turned to flee.

Long Ming quickly got up and chased after him.

The two continued to chase each other in the forest.

bang bang~
Long Ming's eyes revealed a strong killing intent as he relentlessly pursued and fired, showing no concern for the bullets.

This monster is different from ordinary monsters; it actually came back to ambush me while I was sleeping, which means that this guy was watching me like a venomous snake.
