Chapter 327 The Situation Turns Around
Chapter 327 The Situation Turns Around (First Update)
The plan was swiftly executed. Kirk, Chen Yu, and Mann quickly confirmed the details of the operation.
Chen Yu's mechanical tentacles deployed several inconspicuous small devices around young Spock, which emitted a low hum and generated a localized, precise energy interference field.
“The weakening application of the stasis field,” Chen Yu explained to Kirk, the crimson optical lens flashing slightly, “will not affect his physiological state, but can effectively hinder conventional matter transport locking.”
Klingon scans will reveal strong energy turbulence in the target area, making safe teleportation impossible.
If they want the 'Genesis Torpedo,' they'll have to send someone down to retrieve it.
Kirk nodded, took a deep breath, and reconnected to the communication channel with Klingon Commander Kurg.
His voice carried a deliberately suppressed anger and a hint of reluctant compromise: "Commander Kurger, we agree to your terms. The 'Genesis Torpedo'... is right here."
However, it is extremely unstable and has a fragile internal energy structure. Forced transmission may lead to unpredictable energy release or even premature detonation.
You must send someone down to receive it in person.
To add credibility, he added in a warning tone, "Furthermore, this thing resonates with the planet's energy field, making the surrounding space extremely unstable. Teleporting here is suicide. If you want it, fly down and get it yourself!"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the communication, broken only by the heavy breathing of the Klingons and the background noise. Clearly, Kurger was assessing the veracity of the request. Kirk's heart raced slightly, but he forced himself to remain calm.
Finally, Kurg's gruff voice rang out again, tinged with greed and caution: "Very well, Kirk. You're smart enough to know what's good for you. My shuttle will land in five minutes. Don't try anything funny, or your crew will be the first to pay the price."
"Landing coordinates have been sent. We'll wait." Kirk cut off the communication, looked at Chen Yu and Mann, and nodded vigorously.
Almost simultaneously, Kirk's communicator lit up again, and Uhura's extremely low voice came through, with the Enterprise's distinctive echoes in the background: "Captain, we've found an opportunity! The Klingon guards are weaker in the maintenance tunnel on deck D-7, and Scott has managed to temporarily bypass their partial lock on the transmission system."
We can establish a temporary, low-power teleportation point here, but the window is very short, lasting less than thirty seconds, and the energy signal might be detected!
“That’s enough!” Kirk responded immediately. “Prepare to receive Mann’s squad. Synchronize the teleportation coordinates with Sage Chen Yu immediately.”
A faint mechanical hum emanated from within Chen Yu's massive body; he had clearly intercepted and processed the coordinate data in some way: "Coordinates confirmed. Teleportation sequence ready. Mann, you have twenty seconds to complete deployment and engage the enemy."
Mann growled, "Understood." He and his squad had already checked their weapons.
All eyes were drawn to the clearing outside the camp, shrouded in strange light and thunderstorms, where the Klingon shuttle was slowly descending through the clouds with a deafening roar of its engine.
The Klingon shuttle landed roughly on the open ground outside the camp. Before the dust kicked up by the engine had completely settled, the hatch was already swung open.
Fully armed Klingon soldiers rushed out first, quickly spreading out in all directions, raising their Disruptors and pointing them at the people in the camp, their eyes fierce and wary.
Finally, Commander Kurgna's imposing figure appeared at the hatch.
Clad in heavy battle armor, his face bearing the arrogance and triumphant grin characteristic of the Klingons, he strode toward Kirk. His gaze greedily swept across the camp, quickly locking onto the young Spock, whose body was shrouded in faint energy disturbances, a result of Chen Yu's intervention—in his eyes, that was undoubtedly the "Genesis Torpedo" containing the power of destruction and creation.
“Kirk,” Kurger’s voice was laced with undisguised mockery, “it seems you’ve finally learned to face reality. It should have been done sooner, so your crew would have suffered less…”
He didn't finish his words.
Without any warning, several pale blue energy fields suddenly erupted and merged, centered on him and several core followers brought by Kurg, instantly forming a larger static force field sphere.
The mocking expression on Kurger's face, the hand raised halfway as if to point at Kirk, the wary glances from his entourage—everything froze in an instant, like an insect encased in invisible resin, completely frozen outside of time.
"Control complete." Chen Yu's synthesized voice rang out calmly, as if he had just completed a simple experimental operation.
Almost at the same instant the static field took effect, Kirk growled into the communicator, "Uhura, now!"
The Mann team members, who were already prepared, and Kirk himself were instantly enveloped by the tractor beam from the Enterprise. Their figures became blurry and transparent in the camp before disappearing.
The next second, the dizzying teleportation sensation quickly subsided, and Kirk and Mann's team found themselves in the narrow, pipe-filled, and rapidly flashing maintenance corridor on the Enterprise's D-7 deck.
The air was filled with ozone and a faint smell of blood, and in the distance, the sounds of phase gun fire and Klingon roars could be faintly heard.
Uhura and a security guard with soot on their faces were standing guard next to a panel that had been temporarily modified.
“Captain!” Uhura visibly relaxed upon seeing Kirk appear, but her eyes remained urgent. “The Klingons’ main forces are concentrated in the bridge, engine room, and main weapons control room. They are attempting to breach the main computer’s security lock!”
"Where's Scott?" Kirk asked quickly, taking the phase gun that Uhura handed him.
"Scott organized a resistance near the engine room, but the situation is dire; there are too many Klingons!"
A sharp glint flashed in Kirk's eyes as he looked at the Mann squad standing solemnly beside him like war machines.
"Mann, the bridge is yours and your squad. Use whatever method you find most effective to eliminate all resistance and regain control! I'm going to the engine room to support Scott!" Kirk's orders were clear and decisive; he entrusted the most difficult task, the one requiring the most specialized combat skills, to the most suitable person.
Mann nodded slightly, offering no further reply, but with a simple gesture, his squad members instantly went into battle mode.
Dorothy took the lead, followed closely by Valerie and Jack, who occupied both sides of the passage. Falco and Mowell, like ghosts, silently disappeared into the shadows.
"Action!" Kirk shouted, grabbing his phase gun and leading Uhura and the security guard, rushing towards the engine room.
The battle to recapture the Enterprise suddenly erupted within the steel corridors of this legendary starship.
