Chapter 329 Leaving Genesis Star

Chapter 329 Leaving Genesis Star (Third Update)

The shuttle carrying Chen Yu, Kirk, and others docked smoothly with the Enterprise hangar.

When the hatch opened and Chen Yu's massive mechanical body stepped onto the deck, the first thing that caught his eye was the Mann squad, who had been waiting there all along.

They had clearly just finished a clearing operation, and their bodies still bore the marks of battle.

The power armor was stained with scorch marks from energy burns and unwashed alien blood. Although the heavy weapons had been put away, the lingering killing intent honed through actual combat still made the surrounding air feel somewhat heavy.

The busy federal crew members in the hangar became more cautious involuntarily when they saw them.

Their eyes were filled with gratitude, but deeper still, there was an undisguised awe. These crew members had witnessed or heard firsthand the brief but brutal sounds of battle coming through the communication channels.

The Klingons, those warriors renowned for their bravery, appeared utterly helpless against this small squad!
The efficient, almost ruthless, elimination methods were a stark contrast to the Federation's more familiar tactics, which focused on suppression and non-lethal strikes, creating a strong cognitive shock.

However, Chen Yu passed directly through this invisible field intertwined with gratitude and fear.

His sensors clearly captured these emotional signals, but his core logic categorized them as "irrelevant data streams" without processing them.

He approached Mann, his synthesized voice steady as usual, and asked the most practical questions: "How well has the target area been cleared? Has control of the ship's critical systems been fully recovered?"

After receiving Mann's affirmative answer, he stopped paying attention to the stares around him and quickly headed to the infirmary with Kirk.

Inside the medical room, young Spock—or rather, Spock's rejuvenated adult body—lay quietly on the medical bed, his vital signs monitor displaying a steady curve.

Dr. McCoy stood to the side, his face still somewhat pale, the burden from Spock's Katra within him not lessened.

Chen Yu stepped forward, and the probe arm performed another comprehensive scan. The data stream was rapidly compared and analyzed in front of him.

“The individual’s physiological state has stabilized,” he announced the results. “Growth has completely stopped, and the cell division rate has returned to the normal Vulcan adult standard. After leaving the Genesis Star’s energy field, the abnormal resonance effect has disappeared, and the potential structural risks and rapid aging risks caused by external forces have been reduced to negligible levels.”

The news brought a sigh of relief to everyone in the infirmary, especially Kirk and Sarrick.

This miraculous reversal, from a cold corpse to a vibrant young body, was a shock and a relief that even for seasoned Starfleet members.

Dr. Kroll, seemingly trying to dispel the lingering tension, said with a hint of schadenfreude, "Seriously, if this... 'creation' effect could be controlled and used only to eliminate wrinkles and restore youth, I believe more than half of the women in the Federation would go crazy for it."

To everyone's surprise, Chen Yu's steady synthesized voice took over the conversation, speaking in a purely technical tone: "From a technical perspective, if we can precisely control the energy dosage and range of action to achieve cell activity restart and telomere repair at specific tissue levels, it is theoretically possible to achieve local or overall 'renewal' of the organism and reverse some signs of aging. This is not impossible."

This extremely rational response, even tinged with academic interest, surprised everyone present.

They were used to this mechanical sage discussing engines, weapons, or macroscopic physics, but they never expected him to offer such serious technical insights into the seemingly insignificant field of "beauty."

In that instant, Chen Yu's aloof and inhuman demeanor seemed to soften slightly, revealing his broad interest as a pure researcher in any form of "potential technological application." Kirk cleared his throat, steer the conversation back on track: "In any case, this is good news. Ambassador Sharik, Lieutenant Savik, next..."

Sarek nodded solemnly: “Yes, Captain Kirk. We must go to Vulcan immediately. Only in the temple on Mount Sikaher, through the ancient Fartorpan ritual, can Spock’s Katra be safely guided back from Dr. McCoy’s body to his newborn form. This is the only way to truly bring him back.”

The Enterprise did not depart immediately.

Although the ritual to bring Spock back to life is urgent, Kirk, as a starship belonging to the Federation of Planetary, must first fulfill his duties and properly handle the aftermath of this unexpected incident.

The Enterprise remained in the Genesis system, carrying out temporary repairs on its hull damaged by the Klingons while awaiting the arrival of the Federation fleet.

Hours later, a task force consisting of three Federation cruisers arrived in the Genesis system.

After receiving Kirk's detailed operational report and personally witnessing the two Klingon warships, completely paralyzed like snakes with their fangs removed, the task force commander fully affirmed the takeover.

The handover process was swift and orderly.

Federal Marines boarded the Klingon warships via transport ships and took in the Klingon crew members who were helpless and demoralized due to the system failure.

The two warships were initially secured by Federation engineering vessels and are prepared to be towed to the nearest interplanetary base for further technical analysis and disposal.

This was undoubtedly a significant intelligence and diplomatic achievement.

"I'll leave the rest to you," Kirk said as he handed over the reins to the task force commander. "We have more important tasks ahead of us."

“Understood, General Kirk. Good luck, and may Lieutenant Colonel Spock return safely,” the commander replied solemnly.

With the Federation fleet beginning takeover procedures, the Enterprise was finally relieved of its standby status.

Kirk stood on the now-orderly bridge, his gaze sweeping across the two Klingon warships surrounded by Federation vessels on the main view screen before turning to Navigator Sulu.

"Set course, head to Vulcan homeworld. Maximum safe warp speed." Kirk's voice was calm and firm.

"Navigation set, warp drive ready." Sulu skillfully operated the control panel.

"set sail."

The Enterprise's engines hummed familiarly as the massive ship gracefully turned before disappearing into a streak of light at the edge of the Genesis system.

On the bridge, Kirk's gaze fell on the coordinates of Vulcan on the star map ahead, his heart filled with anticipation for his dear friend's return and a touch of awe for the ancient and mysterious ceremony that was about to take place in the sacred land of Vulcan.

Inside the ship's cabin, Chen Yu continued analyzing the data streams he had obtained from Genesis and the Klingon warships. To him, the journey to Vulcan was merely a necessary shift toward the next knowledge node.
