Journey to the West: The roadblock!

Chapter 66, Encountering a Demon in the Black Pine Forest

Chapter 66, Encountering a Demon in the Black Pine Forest (Part 10)
Meanwhile, when Bajie went to invite Wukong, Aotu saw Bajie ride away on a cloud and knew that Sun Wukong was coming. So he asked the White Bone Demon to inform Kui Mulang so that he could prepare in advance.

Wanzishan Mountain, Boyue Cave.

The White Bone Demon entered the cave.

Kui Mulang asked, "Who are you?"

The White Bone Demon said, "I have come to save you on the orders of my king."

Kui Mulang asked, "Who is your king?"

The White Bone Demon said, "My king is named King Lingshan!"

Upon hearing this, Kui Mulang dared not delay and hurriedly invited Bai Gu Jing to sit down, asking, "What instructions does Senior have for you to convey?"

The White Bone Demon said:

"My king said that a monk with a hairy face and a thunder god's mouth will come soon. He is the Great Sage Equal to Heaven who made a great disturbance in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago. He may come to your cave. If you are no match for him, do not fight him head-on. Go to Baoxiang Kingdom to ask my king for help."

Kui Mulang exclaimed in surprise, "Is that the Keeper of the Heavenly Horses?"

The White Bone Demon said, "That's right."

Upon hearing this, Kui Mulang felt a sense of fear. He had accompanied the Heavenly King to the mortal realm to subdue the demon when the Monkey King caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace. Knowing that the monkey possessed supernatural powers, he feared he was no match for him. He quickly replied, "I am willing to obey your orders, senior."

The White Bone Demon then prepared to leave.

Kui Mulang hurriedly said, "Wait a minute."

The White Bone Demon asked, "Is there anything else?"

Kui Mulang said, "I have family members here, and I'm afraid they'll be a burden to me."

The White Bone Demon said, "My king said that your wife is a princess of Baoxiang Kingdom and will not be implicated. As for your two sons, if they have nowhere to go, they can be entrusted to my king for arrangements."

Kui Mulang exclaimed happily, "In that case, I am extremely grateful!"

The White Bone Demon then took Kui Mulang's two sons with her; one was eight or nine years old, and the other was about ten.

The White Bone Demon brought the two back to the palace. Upon seeing them, Ao Tu instructed Tiger Vanguard:

"Take the two of them to my brother's Blackwater River. You can also go back and visit them while you're at it. After you come back, you don't need to come to Baoxiang Kingdom. Just go to Pingdingshan in the distance and wait for me."

Tiger Vanguard replied, "Yes, sir!"

Ao Tu said, "Wait a minute."

Ao Tu took out a six-turn golden pill.

In an instant, the room was filled with the fragrance of elixir, and the golden patterns on the elixir shone brightly.

Tiger Vanguard stared blankly at the golden elixir, his heart pounding uncontrollably.

The White Bone Demon was even more pathetic than Tiger Vanguard, her eyes fixed on the golden elixir, wishing she could pounce on it, hug Ao Tu's leg, and beg for one.

However, the White Bone Demon knew that Ao Tu was oblivious to her beauty, and that it would be pointless for her to pounce on him, so she could only hold back.

Ao Tu used his magic to lift the sixth-stage golden pill and present it to Tiger Vanguard.

Tiger Vanguard quickly and carefully held it in his hands, afraid of damaging it.

Tiger Vanguard asked cautiously and expectantly, "Your Majesty, what is this?"

Ao Tu said, "Since you started following me, you have done your best in everything. How could I treat a meritorious person unfairly? This is a reward for you, take it!"

Upon hearing this, Tiger Vanguard immediately knelt on the ground, tears streaming down his face, and kowtowed, saying, "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

Ao Tu said, "Go."

Tiger Vanguard then took his leave.

The White Bone Demon watched with envy.

For wild demons like them, cultivation relies entirely on absorbing the essence of the sun and moon. Treasures like the Six-Turn Golden Pill are beyond their reach; they can't even smell them, let alone eat one.

Some time passed after Tiger Vanguard left.

Wukong and Bajie flew together on the clouds and arrived at Baoxiang Kingdom.

Wukong asked, "Bajie, where is Master?" Bajie replied, "Master is in the palace!"

Wukong then descended from the clouds and hurried towards the palace.

Upon arriving at the palace, one sees rows of palace guards surrounding the main hall, preventing anyone from entering or leaving.

Wukong asked, "Why are there so many guards?"

Bajie said, "That monster tricked Master and seized the position of King of Baoxiang Kingdom. Now all the civil and military officials support him and obey his orders."

Wukong said, "That's difficult! Now that this monster is in the position of king, if he gathers these soldiers to attack me, I will not be able to fight back."

Bajie said, "Why can't we fight back?"

Wukong said, "If I move even slightly, it will be with the force of a thousand pounds. These mortals will surely suffer heavy casualties, and I'm afraid Master will blame me again."

Bajie said, "Brother, why don't you just use a spell to freeze them in place?"

Wukong said, "If I can freeze, surely the demon can break free?"

Pigsy thought for a moment and said, "I have an idea!"

Wukong said, "You speak."

Bajie said:
"Three hundred li away, there is a demon in a yellow robe."

The monster said earlier that the third princess of Baoxiang Kingdom had been kidnapped by the yellow-robed demon. We don't know if that's true or not. If it is, rescuing the princess will expose the monster's true identity.

"Even if it's fake, it doesn't matter. Brother Sha has been captured by that demon; let's rescue him first, then the three of us can figure out a solution, right?"

Wukong said, "This is a good idea. Bajie, lead the way."

Pigsy rode on a cloud and headed towards the Yellow Robe Monster's dwelling.

Wukong followed on a cloud, and soon they saw a golden pagoda shining brightly, which was the cave of the Yellow Robe Monster.

Wukong stood on the cloud, put down his golden cudgel, and it became as thick as a mountainside, ready to topple the tower.

Bajie hurriedly said, "Brother, hold on! There might be a princess inside!"

Upon hearing this, Wukong withdrew his attack and simply slammed his golden cudgel into the ground.

With a deafening roar, the earth shook violently, startling the mountain gods and local deities. The little demons in the Wave Moon Cave scattered in terror, shouting, "Run! Run! The earth dragon has turned over!"

Kui Mulang was startled awake from the stone bed and went outside to look.

A monk with a hairy face and a thunder god's mouth stood on the clouds.

At first glance, it looks somewhat unfamiliar.

Look closely, isn't that the same Bi Ma Wen who caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago?
It was just that their attire had changed, which was why they looked somewhat unfamiliar.

When Wukong saw Kui Mulang come out, he called out:

"Monster, don't run away, or I'll fight you!"

Jump down and strike with a stick.

Kui Mulang was somewhat afraid, so he called the little demons in the cave to come out and fight Sun Wukong together.

When Wukong saw this, he was not afraid at all, but rather delighted. He held the staff in both hands and shouted, "Transform!" It transformed into a three-headed, six-armed weapon; he swung the golden cudgel and it transformed into three golden cudgels.

With his six hands and three staffs, Wukong fought his way through, smashing the heads of the little monsters he scalded to pieces and drawing blood like water from those he scraped!
Bajie followed behind, wielding his iron rake, trying his best to catch one, but after walking all the way, he didn't catch a single one.

Too many lesser demons had died or been injured. Seeing how ferocious the monkey was, they no longer cared about their king and scattered in all directions.

Only Kui Mulang remained to fight Wukong.

Kui Mulang, wielding his knife, could barely withstand Wukong's golden cudgel. However, Wukong, with his three heads and six arms, inevitably managed to unleash a few blows, striking Kui Mulang.

Kui Mulang was honest and had a delicate inner core, so he managed to withstand more than twenty blows from Wukong.

Wukong thought to himself with delight, "This monster is quite useful. He's vented all the pent-up frustration in my heart on him."

Kui Mulang took several more blows, and after taking so many, he couldn't take it anymore. He lit a smoke screen, turned around, and fled towards Baoxiang Kingdom.
