Chapter 90 The Indians' Revenge
Chapter 90 The Indians' Revenge
"Yes, father."
Jesse and Cody exchanged a glance and immediately understood: "We'll do a fantastic job."
"very good."
Silas nodded in satisfaction.
This 10,000 acres of fertile land represents three generations of wealth accumulated by the Reading family, but it is far from enough to satisfy his appetite.
"Once we get these plots of land..."
He muttered to himself, "I can control all the water in this valley."
"Hmph, twenty thousand acres! If I can expand the estate to twenty thousand acres before I die, then my life won't have been in vain!"
"boom!"
A gunshot suddenly rang out!
"What was that sound?" Silas jumped to his feet.
"Bang bang bang!"
Immediately afterwards, it was as if dozens of guns were firing simultaneously from all directions of the manor!
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
Outside the hall, a guard had just rushed to the door when a bullet ripped the top of his head off!
"FUCK!"
Silas' three sons immediately drew their guns.
"Father! Quick! Get the gun!"
"Is it those Irish bastards?"
Silas roared and grabbed his bear-hunting shotgun.
"Who the hell is it! Once you're here, you're not leaving!"
"Boom!"
The manor gate, strong enough to withstand the charge of a bull, was kicked open from the outside!
Amidst a flurry of sawdust, a dozen shirtless men with black and white stripes painted on their faces rushed in!
"Fire!"
Hank and Jesse roared, emptying their six revolver bullets in an instant!
But that group of people moved too fast.
They rolled on the ground the instant the guns fired, and the bullets never touched them.
Immediately following was the opponent's counterattack.
Hank was riddled with bullets in the blink of an eye!
He stared in disbelief at the several bloody holes bursting open in his abdomen before his massive body crashed to the ground.
"Hank!"
Jesse's roar had barely left his mouth when a bullet pierced his knee!
He screamed and fell to his knees.
"Father!"
Cody was terrified and was about to hide behind a pillar!
A battle axe covered in feathers flew in, spinning and embedding itself precisely in his back!
"Ugh!"
Everything happened in just a few seconds!
Silas Redding, the butcher of his life, was holding a shotgun, his hands trembling uncontrollably.
What happened to his sixty battle-hardened guards whom he had hired at great expense?
Vulnerable!
Compared to Old Dove's thirty-six warriors, those so-called armed guards were nothing more than a group of farmers with guns.
From the first gunshot to taking control of the manor, it took a total of fifteen minutes!
……
When Silas Redding woke up, he found himself bound hand and foot and kneeling in his own hall.
His two sons, who were still alive, were left beside him.
In the hall, servants, gardeners, grooms, almost everyone in the manor knelt on the ground.
Standing before them were demons who had crawled out of thirty-six hells!
Especially when they saw the Indian attire of these people, the servants were almost in despair. They didn't even dare to struggle and could only kneel on the ground and wait to die!
They finally realized that this was not robbery, but revenge!
Toka, the leader of the Indian assassins, slowly walked up to Silas.
A face covered in oil paint, illuminated by candlelight, resembled an ancient, deadly mask!
Toca slammed a Colt revolver hard against Silas Redding's forehead.
“Silas Redding, thirty years ago you slaughtered my tribe, twenty years ago you seized our river!”
"You used the skulls of our people to build your own achievements!"
"Tonight, the descendants of Bomo have returned to collect their debts!"
After the initial shock, Silas Redding laughed, his facial muscles contorting in a grotesque grimace.
"Hehe, hehe!"
"Red-skinned bastard!"
He spat out a mouthful of bloody foam: "So, it was you bunch of trash who weren't completely burned!"
"Want to collect debts? With your abilities?"
Silas knew, of course, that he was going to die.
But damn it, he'll die like a king!
"My life has been worthwhile!"
"I've slept with your women, kicked your children's heads around like footballs, and my biggest regret is not killing all of you bastards back then!"
"That kind of exhilaration, you bunch of trash will never experience it in your entire lives! Hahahaha!"
Toka listened expressionlessly, and even nodded.
"you're right."
Then he waved his hand.
Two soldiers stepped forward and grabbed Jesse and Cody, who were still groaning on the ground.
"No, no, let me go, you barbarians, let me go..."
Before Silas could even react, two sharp skinning knives were sliced across the necks of his two sons.
Two jets of scalding blood gushed out, splattering all over Silas's head and face.
"no no!"
“Jesse, Cody…”
"Ah ah ah ah ah!"
Silas Redding's eyes widened in fury as he roared and struggled frantically, trying to get up and take these guys down with him!
Toka raised his gun and pointed it at him again.
"At least our tribe still has descendants, but your bloodline is completely severed!"
Gunshots rang out suddenly, and Silas's large head snapped back.
The hall was deathly silent.
Toka slowly holstered his gun, coldly glancing at the servants and gardeners who were on the verge of fainting from fright.
"Tonight is Bomer's revenge; we will only kill members of the Reading family."
"Now, you can get out!"
Upon hearing that the group of people wouldn't kill them, the servants and gardeners immediately scrambled out of the hall, tumbling and crawling on all fours.
The following morning, on top of the mountain of Native American skulls, four more white skulls, still dripping blood, appeared.
Silas Redding, and his three sons.
Their eyes were wide open as they, along with their former prey, looked down upon this land that no longer belonged to them.
The news of the Redding family being wiped out by Native Americans in revenge spread throughout Sonoma County overnight.
"Have you heard? Old man Silas is finished!"
"I fucking heard about it? I was delivering goods this morning, and I could smell the blood from half a mile away!"
"Is it really dried red skin?"
“It’s absolutely true. Those who escaped saw with their own eyes that the Pomo tribe’s madmen cut off the heads of Silas and his three sons!”
"Guess what? They stuck those four heads on top of that pile of old bones at the manor gate!"
A herdsman, half-drunk, couldn't help but laugh.
"What the hell is this called? Poetry, poetic sentiment?"
"Poetic my ass!"
Another coachman nervously looked around: "Keep your voice down, those are Indians, savages! They're back! Are we all going to get our heads ripped off?!"
"What are you afraid of?"
The well-informed person who spoke first said, "I heard from the sheriff's office that the Redskins only killed the Reading family members. They spared all the servants and gardeners, and didn't touch a single one."
"Only kill the Reading family?"
"That's right. They left a message. Blood for blood. Silas killed their men thirty years ago, and they've come back to collect their debt thirty years later." This news finally eased the tension throughout Sonoma County.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh, FUCK! I see."
"Damn, that scared me to death. I thought those barbarians were going to start burning the town again."
"So, this is a personal grudge?"
"you do not say!"
The barber brandished his razor, spitting as he spoke: "I told you, that old bastard Silas Redding, he was bound to get his comeuppance sooner or later. Have you all forgotten how he made his fortune? Did those bones on his plantation fall from the sky? He chopped them off one by one from the necks of Indians!"
"Ha, you're right!"
"He deserves to live, hahaha, does he really think he can be king forever?"
"So we're safe?"
"As long as you haven't slept with Native American women or cut off their heads, I think we're probably safe."
"So the Reading family is finished?"
"That's right, the whole family, all dead. It's so damn pitiful, I heard that only their youngest daughter, who lives outside, is still alive."
"Oh, Abigail's Sonoma little wild horse, I've seen her, she's fucking hot."
"Shh, keep your voice down! She's the richest orphan in Northern California now."
……
The news reached Strawberry Town at noon the next day.
A room on the second floor of a hotel in the small town.
The air was filled with the scent of romance.
Abigail nestled languidly against Ethan's chest, like a contented cat.
At this moment, her whole body was weak and she didn't want to move a single finger. She just greedily breathed in the addictive masculine scent emanating from Ethan.
"do not move."
She murmured in a hoarse voice, "Just for a little while, don't move, let me hear your heartbeat."
Ethan didn't move, gently stroking her blonde hair with one hand.
“You’re like a hummingbird that’s just finished a long run, Abby.”
His voice was deep and magnetic, sending chills down your spine: "Even your heartbeat is fast."
"That's all because of you!"
Abigail tilted her little face up, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him: "You're the one who made it jump like this, Ethan, it was you."
"Ethan, I love you!"
She seemed to be making a vow, or perhaps a prayer: "Before I met you, I had no idea what it felt like to be alive. I was just a breathing corpse locked in a cage."
"That house, that house piled high with bones, is my grave. My father, my three brothers, they are the grave keepers!"
They just wanted to fatten me up and sell me to another, older, richer gravedigger. I hate them!
"Shh, don't say that."
Ethan gently pressed his finger to her lips.
"Don't use the word 'hate.' It's too ugly. It doesn't do justice to your face."
"No! I hate it!"
Abigail removed his hand and vented like a child: "They won't let me paint, they won't let me play the piano, they won't let me love you, and they'll kill you, Ethan, they'll definitely kill you!"
"so."
Ethan chuckled and pinched her cheek: "So, we escaped, didn't we?"
“You are not a corpse, Abigail. Nor are you a caged bird.”
"You are a desert rose that they forcibly pressed under a stone. I was just lucky enough to happen to pass by and move that stone."
"Oh~~"
Abigail was practically melting.
This is exactly what she wanted: the feeling of love!
It's not the mindless flattery that those stupid cowboys spout, but this.
To truly see the glimmer of light beneath her fragile soul, to discover her vulnerability, and to personally save her!
This is love!
"Ethan."
Abigail's tears welled up again: "You are truly God's sun, sent to save me!"
"Boom boom boom!"
Just as she was about to kiss her lover, a rapid knocking on the door interrupted her.
"Who?"
Abby, her face contorted with anger, yelled at the door, "Get out of here! Whoever you are, get out now!"
"telegraph!"
Outside the door, an impatient voice said, "An urgent telegram from Santa Rosa. Give it to Miss Abigail Redding, or I'm leaving!"
"telegraph?"
Abigail and Ethan exchanged a glance.
"It's them, it's Father, he's found us!"
"Don't be afraid."
Ethan calmly patted her on the shoulder, then got up and opened the door.
"what's up?"
The telegraph clerk stared at the incredibly handsome naked man before him, paused for a moment, and then handed him the telegram and change: "Here, sign this!"
Ethan closed the door and handed the thin piece of paper to Abigail.
Reading Manor was attacked by the Pomeranian tribe.
[Silas Redding, Hank Redding, Jesse Redding, Cody Redding.]
[They were all killed.]
You are the only survivor.
Return immediately.
—Loch (acting), Sonoma County Sheriff
Abigail blinked, unable to believe it, and read it again!
"Hahahahahaha!"
"Abby?"
Ethan grabbed her shoulders with concern.
"A lie!"
Abigail jumped up, crumpled the telegram into a ball, and threw it on the ground.
"What a stupid lie!"
"Does he think I'm a three-year-old? Does he think I'm still that little girl he locked in the room?"
"The Native Americans are here for revenge? Their whole family is dead?"
"He made it all up! He made it all up!"
Abigail screamed, "Father, that devil, that tyrant, he just wants to use this despicable means to trick me into going back!"
"Trick me into going back so I can catch you!"
She suddenly threw herself into Ethan's arms: "Ethan, let's go, let's go now, to Oregon, to Canada, anywhere is fine with me, he's crazy, he'll do anything to get you!"
Ethan held her tightly, letting her cry and scream in his arms like a madwoman.
He didn't speak until her sobs gradually turned into whimpers: "Abby, Abby, look at me. You just said I was your sun, didn't you?"
"I……"
Will the sun run away?
Abigail was stunned.
"Abby, what if I mean one in ten thousand chance, what if this isn't a lie?"
"It can't be that way!"
"But, what if?"
Ethan interrupted her: "What if your father, your brothers, are really killed, and you and I, like two cowards, run away?"
“Abby, I can’t let you carry the stigma of eloping when your family was tragically killed in the future.”
"I don't care about the bad reputation! I just want you!"
