Chapter 188 The Contrast of the Evil Dragon
Chapter 188 The Contrast of the Evil Dragon
“It’s Ita,”
Yumilia's eyes lit up. Although she had heard her mention teaching at St. Illusion Academy, she had never actually seen her teach a class.
She was quite excited about such a rare thing.
However, she soon heard whispers around her:
"Holonig, it really is her. I thought it was a child's joke. What bad luck."
"What are the evil dragon's intentions in coming to Saint Illustrious to teach?"
"Tsk, what was the school board thinking, letting this dangerous guy stay in school?"
"Yes, I wouldn't feel comfortable with her being the child's teacher."
"We need to report this to the school board."
A chorus of whispers came from behind, and Caesar, sitting in the back row, heard them very clearly.
He sighed helplessly.
"Hey sis, what exactly did you do to become so famous?"
Those present here are all at the core of the kingdom's power; the methods used by Ita to make them hold such views are quite remarkable.
Faced with a chorus of doubts, Ita calmly spoke:
"I said, keep quiet."
Her calm voice still carried a touch of girlish naiveté, but it instantly dominated the entire room, and the whispers disappeared.
She gave a low hum, completely ignoring the wary glances directed at her.
But then, a clear shout rang out in the silent classroom:
"Ita! Keep it up! I'm rooting for you!"
Ita and Caesar both froze, and all eyes in the classroom turned to the little elf who had stood up, their eyes filled with astonishment.
"What are you doing?" Caesar thought to himself, covering his forehead in bewilderment.
After Yumilia shouted it out, she immediately realized she had been somewhat presumptuous and blushed.
She only heard doubts about her child all around her, and she definitely wanted to cheer her child on, but in her excitement, she shouted it out without considering the occasion.
Ita snapped out of her reverie and coughed lightly:
"Thank you for your support, but this is class time, so please be mindful of the occasion."
"Oh, okay, okay," Yumilia said awkwardly, hurriedly apologizing to the people around her in a low voice, and sat down with her face flushed.
"Caesar, is Yumilia very familiar with that head of the Frederick family?" Tess asked in surprise.
"This matter is a bit complicated, isn't it..." Caesar brushed it off.
If Tess found out that the vicious dragon patriarch was actually a member of the family of that innocent and naive little elf, and even her own Ita, who knows what kind of expression she would have.
At this moment, Manslivi, sitting in the center of the back row, was watching the petite dragon girl on the stage. A glint flashed in her calm eyes, and her lips moved as she uttered something in a voice that no one could hear.
Ita's subsequent classes went relatively smoothly. Putting everything else aside, she was a very competent teacher with excellent teaching skills. On this point alone, the parents couldn't find any fault with her.
The class passed quickly, and as per procedure, the teacher stayed behind to talk with the parents for a while.
Ita glanced calmly at the parents.
"get out of class is over. Are there any parents who would like to speak with me privately?" she asked.
The room fell silent; no one moved. "Well then, if you want to know more about the course, you can come to my office for a private discussion. It's on the third floor of the faculty building. If there's nothing else, get out of class is over. Today it's Caesar's turn to be on duty; please pack up your lecture notes and bring them to my office."
After saying that, she turned and left.
Only then did some conversation begin in the classroom, and the atmosphere relaxed.
Caesar went forward to tidy up the podium, and at that moment he saw that Yumilia had already secretly slipped out of the classroom.
When he arrived at Ita's office with the lecture notes, he heard Ita's coquettish voice coming from inside as soon as he opened the door.
The two girls were now leaning back on a soft, high-backed sofa, while the dragon, who had been so imposing in class just moments before, was now nestled in Yumilia's arms, hugging her like a baby, and complaining incessantly.
"Waaah, Yumilia, look at them all saying bad things about me. It's so unfair! I work so hard as a teacher and they still talk about me. They're all bullying a little girl like me," Ita said pitifully, rubbing her head against Yumilia's chest.
“Yes, yes, but I know Ita is a kind and good girl. I support you, Ita,” Yumilia said, gently patting her shoulder.
"Yumeria is so sweet, kisses."
"Okay, okay," Yumilia said affectionately, giving Ita a kiss on the cheek.
Caesar coughed twice, announcing his arrival.
Ita looked at him and gave him a playful smirk.
"Caesar, remember to say 'Report' before entering the teacher's office."
"I'll tell you what? You don't even know how to close the door. If someone came in and saw you like this, they'd be scared to death," Caesar said irritably, closing the door behind him.
"So what? If anyone who comes in sees this and dares to say anything, I'll..." Ita was about to say something harsh when she noticed Yumilia's gaze and quickly changed the subject:
"I'll discuss it with them properly, and there's nothing shameful about acting cute with Yumilia."
As she spoke, she nestled into Yumilia's arms again.
"Ha, you've really figured out the contrast, little dragon." Caesar tossed the doctrine onto his desk.
"Yumeria, I heard you're going to speak on stage today as a representative of the students' parents," Ita asked.
“Yes,” Yumilia said, touching Ita’s face with a troubled expression.
"Although I've rehearsed several times before, I'm still very nervous. I'm afraid that I'll make a mistake on stage and say something that will make everyone laugh."
“It’s okay. Here’s a trick I’ve been using: if you feel nervous on stage, just imagine the audience as potatoes. Talk to a bunch of potatoes, and you won’t be nervous,” Ita said.
“Really? I hadn’t thought of that method before,” Yumilia said.
“Of course it works. When I first took over as head of the family, I often had to give reports to a lot of people, and I was incredibly nervous. But after I came up with this method, I haven’t been nervous since,” Ita said.
"Well, I'll give it a try. But it's a bit hard to imagine it as a potato. How about imagining it as a cactus instead?" Yumilia muttered.
Ita did indeed use this method to make herself less nervous when speaking in public. However, what she didn't tell Yumilia was that the real reason she could handle these situations with ease was that she discovered she could stop those in the audience who were laughing at her slips of the tongue from laughing anymore. As a result, no one in the family dared to raise their heads when she spoke, and naturally, there was no need for her to be nervous.
Caesar went to the office balcony, looked at the somewhat gloomy sky in the distance, then turned to Ita, who was still acting coquettishly with Yumilia, and said:
"Ita, come here for a moment, I have something to tell you."
