Let's start over, Your Majesty.
Chapter 324 Signals of Parting
Chapter 324 Signals of Parting
The imperial seal was linked to the phantom of Muirna not far away. Caesar waited, his eyes closed, his hands tapping the table.
But after waiting for a long time, Muirner's phantom did not make the slightest movement.
Caesar glanced at the time, sighed, and disconnected.
"It doesn't seem that easy," he said, shaking his head.
Because the incident happened so suddenly, he changed his strategy and decided to try to contact Muirner in advance.
But as expected, there has been absolutely no response.
He raised his hand, and a leaf materialized in his palm, each vein shimmering with a soft glow.
This was a gift from Muirna when she left. He remembered that time when he went to the port to see her off. The ship's horn sounded mournfully, and white doves fluttered about. Seeing his low spirits, Muirna smiled sweetly and conjured a leaf, took his hand, placed it in her palm, and said:
"Legends often say that every elf comes from the Tree of Life and is born with a leaf. So, I'll give you my leaf, Caesar. When you see it, you'll think of me."
Caesar held the leaf in his hand and asked uncertainly, "Were you really born with a leaf with you?"
"Of course I was just kidding, you idiot, it's just a souvenir," Muirner said, covering his mouth with a laugh.
She held his hand, hesitated for a moment as if she was about to do something, but in the end she just stepped forward and hugged him.
"I'm leaving. You won't see me for several years. Don't cry in the middle of the night," she said softly.
Caesar smiled helplessly and hugged her back.
If I cry, will you come out and comfort me?
“Yes, I will. I’ll hold you and say, ‘Little Caesar, don’t cry, your sister is back. You can tell me what’s bothering you,’” Muirna said with a smile.
"Ahem... there's no need for such comforting words," Caesar said awkwardly.
The crew members on board were already urging them to hurry.
Muirna released him, pursed her lips and said, "Well, I'm leaving now, goodbye."
"Goodbye."
Muirner bent down to pick up his suitcase, but as he stood up, he suddenly leaned in and kissed Caesar on the cheek.
Caesar was taken aback, but only saw Muirner smiling and saying goodbye.
Goodbye, Xiao Sa.
As Caesar watched the ship disappear above the horizon, he touched his cheek, unsure of the meaning of the kiss—whether it was simply a farewell or something else entirely.
"I wonder how she's doing in the Arctic," Caesar said, pinching a leaf and tilting his head back.
Staring at the leaf in his hand, he became somewhat lost in thought, and without realizing it, he pinched the leaf and brought it to his lips, taking a sniff.
"Hmm? I think I can smell her scent?"
He had intended to smell it carefully, but then his spiritual intuition was triggered.
It was Xia, who was sending him a request to enter through the Formless Heaven.
Caesar put away the leaf and pulled Sia to the Realm of No Form.
The young woman approached the long conference table, and Caesar calmly asked, "What is it?"
Sia paused for a moment, then said, "Didn't we say that we would practice the etiquette for the assembly after today's practice?"
Caesar only then remembered it.
Xia sat down and secretly glanced at him sideways: "Teacher, are you troubled by something today?"
"Not really. I was just thinking about things," Caesar said simply.
“Oh,” Sia responded. “By the way, we should still do this outside afterwards, since it’s for them to see,” Caesar said.
"Okay, I'll make the arrangements later."
She took out a small notebook, flipped through it, and looked up each item one by one. Then she said to Caesar, "Let's start with the basics."
She began to tell Caesar about the things to be aware of at the Summit, mainly the etiquette to observe when meeting with participants from various countries, and who he should and should not meet, all determined by the current world situation.
Then there are some special circumstances and contingency plans. For example, if a reporter comes up to ask questions, we need to decide which newspaper reporters should receive them and which shouldn't.
Soon, before she knew it, Xia had been talking to him for almost an hour.
"Next are things to pay attention to during meals," Xia said, flipping through her notebook with an embarrassed look on her face.
"Ah, this place... I don't remember it very well."
“Let’s talk about it another time then. You must be tired after talking for so long today,” Caesar said.
“Okay.” Xia put away her notebook, hesitated for a moment, and asked, “By the way, the school board, the one at St. Yaro, invited us to come back to school. Isn’t graduation season coming up soon? We students who are away from home need to go back to attend the graduation ceremony.” Xia said.
Caesar nodded: "I know, when was it?"
"June 15th, which is two months from now, it's graduation season around this time every year." Xia looked at him with a hint of helplessness.
"Teacher, have you even forgotten this?"
“I haven’t been to school for so long, I’ve completely lost track of it,” Caesar said.
Although Caesar is no longer involved in the school affairs, he still needs to attend the graduation ceremony.
"Any new developments lately?" Caesar asked as Sia was about to leave.
"Nothing special..." Xia tilted her head and thought for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and said:
“By the way, I recently heard that Constance has been in contact with people from the Kingdom’s overseas operations department, discussing something. I didn’t hear the specifics, but I did hear them talking about Enled’s medicine or something like that,” Sia said.
“Enled’s medicine?” Caesar frowned. “I heard from Cons that he recently went abroad. Is that related to the medicine?”
“I think so, it seems like they had some kind of conversation,” Xia said after thinking for a moment.
Caesar began to ponder.
"Konstantin said he went abroad to help Enled with something. Could it be that he went to find the medicine for him?"
"But if there really was a medicine that could save him, the kingdom would have used it long ago. Is there something in that remote area that the kingdom doesn't have?"
It's not right.
Caesar said to Sia, "I'll investigate this matter. You keep a close eye on things too."
"Okay, I understand." Xia nodded.
She was about to leave when she paused, looking as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
"What?" Caesar asked.
"Well, there will be a dance or something at the graduation ceremony, do we want to go together?" Xia finally asked.
Caesar swallowed the words he was about to say.
"We'll see when the time comes. The school's invitations should arrive a month from now," Caesar said.
"Oh," Xia responded, then remained silent for a few seconds before turning and leaving the Formless Heaven Domain.
