Hogwarts: A Chinese-Style Professor
Chapter 218 Starting with Malfoy
Chapter 218 Starting with Malfoy
"get out of class is over."
"Draco, stay behind for a moment."
On Monday afternoon, Professor Levi suddenly called out to Draco Malfoy.
The third-year students in the same classroom all turned their attention to Malfoy, who had blond hair.
Even he himself was quite surprised, and his expression even seemed somewhat frightened—his father had been dismissed from the school board last year and had only recently been reinstated, and he had been going through a difficult period.
In his father's words, the respected Professor Levi became a terrifying person—"Remember, Draco, in this school you can offend Dumbledore, but never mess with him!"
My father's words still echo in my ears.
After all the students had left, Malfoy walked forward somewhat timidly, his clenched fists beginning to tremble slightly.
"Professor—what can I do for you?"
Outside the classroom door, a group of students pressed against the door, their ears perked up.
“Nothing special.” Levi picked up a piece of parchment and looked at Malfoy’s recent class and extracurricular grades. “I’ve been observing your recent performance and I think you have even greater potential that hasn’t been tapped yet.”
"It seems I should set some bigger goals for you."
Draco's Adam's apple bobbed.
"Professor with a bigger goal, may I ask—why me?"
"Because I saw someone doing the right thing in the dark."
Li Wei paused for a moment, then looked away from the window.
“The other three houses have already shown me their special qualities, and I believe there must be something I haven’t yet discovered in Slytherin’s character—especially in you pure-blood families.”
I want to see if you can become one of the undiscovered gems.
Malfoy's fingertips tightened and then relaxed.
Suddenly, he raised his head, stared intently at Li Wei, and asked:
"Will this allow me to surpass Porter?"
“That’s a bit difficult—you’ve wasted too much time, he’s already far ahead of you.”
"So it's not impossible?"
Li Wei looked into Malfoy's eyes and smiled.
“That’s right, anything is possible—I learned all the spells and transfiguration in just seven years. If you work hard enough, you could surpass more than 90% of the wizards in the world in seven years.”
“I will prove it—Professor, you made the right choice.”
Malfoy felt a long-lost surge of passion coursing through his veins.
After Li Wei handed him a piece of parchment, his blood immediately went cold again, as if his head had been immersed in ice water and cooled down instantly.
“From today onwards, you will train according to this set of more stringent goals.”
“This is much harder than the standard for our grade—aren’t we just learning how to master the basic casting states of two intermediate spells?”
Malfoy stared at the contents of the document with disbelief.
"Yes, but I've personally decided to let you do more—of course, you can choose to refuse."
There was a rustling sound coming from outside the door.
Draco glanced outside the door, his heart pounding at the thought that someone might be spying on him, including his old rival Potter, whom he could no longer catch up with.
He licked his lips and said:
"Professor, I'm going to surprise you."
I'll give you all!
He said in his mind.
“Very good, I look forward to your performance.” Li Wei put away his lesson plan and walked towards the door—the group of young wizards scattered and fled, each waving their wands to cast a silencing spell on themselves.
The news that Professor Levi was going to give special tutoring to third-year student Malfoy spread throughout Hogwarts the very next day.
But apart from the third-grade students, the students in other grades didn't seem to care—or rather, they really didn't have time to mess around with the third-grade students.
First graders are so engrossed in learning new knowledge and gaining new experiences every day that they don't care about anything else. If Professor Li Wei were to add more burdens to them now, it would probably be more of a shock than a pleasant surprise for the vast majority of students.
Needless to say, the second graders are even more afraid; the more the first graders push them, the more scared they become.
Fourth graders are incredibly happy and don't care about what you're doing in third grade—the more miserable you are, the better!
For older students, it goes without saying.
However, the Weasley twins did gain some insight from this incident.
They've been too caught up in the 'good student' template lately.
They studied hard to improve their scores, participated in Sunday club activities, developed rapport with their two teammates, and discussed magic—before they came to their senses, they realized that they hadn't researched any pranks in a long time, since the last big one on Freedom Day.
“We should invent something to practice with, Fred—”
"You're right, George, I have an idea."
“Oh—my dear brother, I actually already have an idea.”
“Hey—I’ve been taking some time to study Chinese culture lately and I’ve learned something interesting—you two can write down your thoughts on paper and then show them to each other to see if you two brothers are thinking the same thing.”
George's teammate suddenly spoke up.
"That sounds interesting!"
"I think we have no reason to refuse."
Under the watchful eyes of their four teammates, the two each wrote down their thoughts on a piece of parchment, folded it in half, and hid it away.
"Three—two—one."
Encouraged by their teammates, the two revealed the parchment in their hands and burst into laughter.
Retractable Ears
Eavesdropping
The two of them thought of the same thing.
The reason why Professor Levy and Malfoy's conversation was overheard by the third-year students was simply because Professor Levy wanted them to hear it.
If it were anything important, Professor Li Wei would arrange it like his office, so that no one could eavesdrop.
And they were going to create a product that could break through this defense!
After a year of diligent study of theoretical knowledge, they are now far more mature than they were before.
“They really seem very motivated—sometimes I’m even a little envious of their energy.”
Ron quickly finished his meal and looked at Harry and Hermione—"Have you finished eating?"
While students in other grades didn't care much about Professor Levy giving Malfoy special tutoring, they were very concerned about it.
“You don’t need to be in such a hurry, Ron. The material the professor assigned us is enough for us to learn.”
"Yeah, we haven't even finished working through the problems in the practice book. Even if the professor teaches us other things, do you think we can digest them all?"
Hermione said that, but she stood up immediately.
"I'm full, let's go."
"it is good."
Harry and Ron stood up, but the next moment, Hermione beside them suddenly disappeared—in her place stood another Hermione at the entrance of the hall, waving at them.
"Merlin's beard—what just happened?"
Ron couldn't help but rub his eyes.
