Hogwarts: A Chinese-Style Professor
Chapter 250 The Arrival of the New Disciple
Chapter 250 The Arrival of the New Disciple
The Horcrux has been destroyed.
The Soul Stone was left for Dumbledore to study at his leisure.
As Li Wei walked out of the office, Snape's whisper came from the corner again—"Were you just waiting for this moment to make a fool of me?"
Did I time travel again?
Li Wei turned his head, and Snape was leaning against the corner of the wall as always, only this time he didn't hide his body in the shadows.
"What kind of joke are you making at?"
The moment Li Wei uttered his rhetorical question, Snape's expression visibly darkened.
But this time, he remained silent, staring at Li Wei with a livid face.
"Okay—okay."
Li Wei raised his hands in surrender, which was somewhat amusing.
Having just experienced time travel, he was somewhat exhausted—thinking of this, Levi suddenly felt a surge of impulse and invited Snape to join him:
"How about we grab a drink? It's on me."
"I have a full afternoon of classes, how can I drink?"
“Let my students go—Jowell and Camille will handle it all—in fact, my house-elf Barton is a potions master too.”
Snape's lips twitched—out of respect for Levi, he refrained from speaking out against him.
However, he hesitated.
"You're so hesitant about having a drink? That's pointless—I'm not drinking."
Li Wei waved goodbye to Snape.
Snape simply stood there watching his retreating figure, remaining silent for a long time.
A week later, a notice about building a duel tower on campus appeared in the form of an announcement at the entrance to the common room and the auditorium.
The construction is expected to take about two weeks to begin. Sirius Black has been confirmed as the administrator, with the house-elves Kreacher and Dobby assisting as deputy administrators.
Meanwhile, Livy wrote to one of his 24 disciples outside of school, asking if he had any plans to come to Hogwarts as a physician, to which the other readily agreed.
This was written into the Duel Tower plan from the beginning—Dumbledore offered no comment on it.
Faced with a benefactor who was willing to risk everything to save him using the Time-Turner, Dumbledore could no longer voice his doubts—if one day something he didn't want to see really happened, he would simply return the man's life.
As for having another person from outside the school permanently stationed at Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall, as the vice-principal, had some reservations and wanted to investigate it carefully.
But when she heard that the attending physician was Li Wei's disciple outside of school, she immediately had no objections and let him pass.
On the afternoon of the third day, the flames in the fireplace in Li Wei's office suddenly turned emerald green, and then a figure calmly stepped out, the flames quickly returning to a warm orange-red behind him.
The newcomer appeared to be in his early forties, with gray hair and wearing a well-tailored white robe.
Upon landing and seeing Li Wei, his not-so-handsome, calm face brightened, and his eyebrows curved like the waters of an autumn lake. Before even reaching Li Wei, he had already extended his hand warmly, his fingers long and slender with distinct knuckles.
"Professor, long time no see."
"Elliott, was the journey smooth?"
Li Wei grasped the offered left hand and patted the other person's shoulder with his right.
This was one of his early students, who possessed an extraordinary talent and passion for healing magic, especially in trauma first aid and the treatment of the aftereffects of magical injuries.
But this also means that he needs a lot of brainpower for research.
Because of the many restrictions at St. Mungo's, after graduating, he chose to work as a dark wizard in the black market.
However, when Li Wei first met him, his situation was not very good—leaving St. Mungo certainly gave him the right to freely study medicine, but at the same time he lost official protection and inheritance.
Although Levi's perspective on Muggle medicine provided him with considerable advice and inspiration, leading to significant breakthroughs in medicine, Elliott always felt a sense of regret regarding houses like St. Mungo's. Therefore, when he heard he could work at Hogwarts and study in its library, Elliott came without hesitation.
"very smooth."
Elliott smiled somewhat awkwardly, then looked at the two assistant coaches behind Levi and nodded slightly to them.
"Assistant Coach Joe Weili, Assistant Coach Camille."
"Hello, Elliott, it seems our connection will continue here."
Joe Verri responded with enthusiasm.
Jia Meier simply nodded.
“Professor,” Elliott paused, “I’ve heard things haven’t been peaceful here lately? Besides student training, are there any other potential injuries we need to address?”
Li Wei was taken aback by these words, then shook his head and said with a smile:
What exactly are you referring to?
Elliott was somewhat surprised to see his smile and continued:
"I heard that Dementors attacked here? The Ministry of Magic must be treating people like fools. The Dementors' movements were so loud that anyone with a little bit of information would have noticed. They actually tried to cover it up."
"Yes, the Ministry of Magic is indeed in a rather unsatisfactory state, but I think the situation will gradually improve in the future."
"That's for sure. Although you, Professor, are forced to teach here, your students will naturally make this country a better place with your guidance."
Elliott spoke with a hint of fanaticism.
Li Wei paused for a moment, then nodded in response:
"Don't worry about these things. Hogwarts is safe right now."
You only need to heal the injured students inside the Duel Tower—Madam Pomfrey will take care of all the other injuries.
She is a respectable woman and the best collaborator—if you are interested later, I will help you make the arrangements.”
"If there is a chance."
Elliott pursed his lips, remaining noncommittal.
Knowing his personality, Li Wei didn't force him, but simply nodded.
Two separate rooms were provided for Elliott's office, a medical research lab, and a residence, and that was settled.
Halloween is just around the corner, and Professor McGonagall will introduce Elliott to everyone at the dinner party.
Although Li Wei maintained a certain level of correspondence with his students during this period, judging from Elliott's previous remarks, it was clear that some of his understanding had not been updated.
Joey thoughtfully took Elliott on a tour of the castle, and they also took a look at the Duel Tower, which was already taking shape.
"So, the professor is now genuinely committed to teaching here?"
Elliott was quite surprised to hear from Joey about what had happened to Levi over the past year.
He hadn't expected Li Wei to waste his time like this.
"Yes, the professor has changed a lot this year—in my opinion, these changes, though small, are very precious."
"Don't cause trouble at Hogwarts. These students are highly regarded by the professors these days."
"Of course, I would never lay a hand on a student—I'm here simply to fill in the gaps in my knowledge."
After a pause, Elliott looked at the distant Black Lake and continued:
"If these students are valued by the professor, then I will do everything in my power to protect them."
