Chapter 30 Miles must die, but we can't let anything happen at this time and in this place!

Lin Xia was stunned by her own idea and couldn't help but shake her head, trying to shake off this absurd thought.

at this time--

"Clang!!!"

A loud and ear-piercing clang of metal clashing suddenly came from the direction of the front yard, followed by several angry shouts.

"Stop them!"

"Too deceiving!"

The noise, footsteps, and faint energy fluctuations instantly shattered the peaceful afternoon atmosphere in the backyard.

The strange expression on Lin Xia's face vanished abruptly, her brows furrowed instantly, and her eyes sharpened.

problem occurs!
Lin Xia stood up without hesitation and quickly glanced at Young Giras, who was still diligently gnawing on the last bit of purple electric iron on the stone table, seemingly oblivious to the noise outside.

"Youngkiras! Stop eating! Something's wrong!"

Lin Xia gave a low shout, her tone carrying an undeniable sense of urgency.

After saying this, Lin Xia moved swiftly, like an arrow released from a bow, and rushed towards the direction from which the noise in the front yard came without hesitation.

Alarm bells rang in his mind. Who dared to cause such a disturbance so arrogantly in Gengjin City, at the headquarters of the Blacksmith Association?
This commotion is definitely not an ordinary dispute!

Just as Lin Xia was about to reach the front yard, she was blocked by the height of the stairs leading downstairs.

"Teacher, what exactly happened up ahead?"

Lin Xia's heart tightened, and she subconsciously looked up at the building.

Lou Gao's usually forthright and generous face was now as gloomy as leaden clouds before a storm.

His tall figure paused slightly, his sharp gaze piercing through the courtyard, pointing directly to the source of the commotion in the front yard, his thick eyebrows furrowing tightly.

"Xia, take Young Gilas and go back to the backyard! Stay there and don't come out!"

Lin Xia paused, clearly seeing the solemnity in the teacher's eyes, and even... a hint of suppressed anger.

Just as Lin Xia was about to ask or express his willingness to face this together, Lou Gao seemed to see through his thoughts. Beneath his tightly furrowed brows, a trace of relief flashed quickly in the depths of his eyes—this child had not backed down and truly regarded the association as his home.

"obedient!"

Lou Gao's voice grew louder, carrying the authority of an elder.

"Don't worry about the Blacksmiths' Guild! The sky won't fall! Go back and focus on your studies, or spend some time with Young Gilas and eat some ore. Don't worry!"

After Lou Gao finished speaking, he gave Lin Xia no chance to argue. He suddenly flicked his sleeves and strode towards the front yard. His back was as imposing as a mountain, yet it also revealed an impending burst of anger.

Watching Lou Gao's resolute departure, Lin Xia's heart sank.

The teacher had never spoken to him in such a solemn and dismissive tone.

What happened in the front yard?
Don't worry?

This clearly means "This is a big deal, don't get involved!"
"teacher……"

Lin Xia whispered, her heart churning with unease.

He glanced at the young Gilas in his arms, who was burping with sparks, yet had quieted down as if instinctively sensing his master's emotions, and his eyes hardened.

"No, I have to go check it out! I'll just have to hide somewhere, I absolutely can't be a coward!"

Lin Xia made a quick decision.

Lin Xia did not follow directly to the front hall. Instead, carrying the baby Gilas, she used her familiarity with the association's buildings to go around to a hidden staircase on the side that led to the second-floor corridor of the hall.

The view from here was expansive, offering a clear view of the hall below, yet it was obscured by pillars and shadows, making it difficult to spot. Lin Xia had just concealed herself in the shadows of the corridor and peeked down when her pupils suddenly contracted!
The atmosphere in the hall was tense and confrontational.

The guards of the blacksmiths' association and some senior blacksmiths stood on both sides with livid faces, their fists clenched, glaring angrily at the uninvited guests in the center.

Among the leaders was Charlotte, the very same Spirit Hall elder who had tried to recruit him!

However, Charlotte was standing to the side and behind a man dressed in a magnificent scarlet robe.

The man in the red robe was of medium height, with a round face that looked like it had been pampered for a long time, but his eyes were unusually sharp and sinister, and a faint, unsettlingly arrogant smile played on his lips.

The badge on his chest, symbolizing his status as a bishop of the Spirit Hall, gleamed in the torchlight, radiating an invisible pressure.

Miles!
The bishop of the Martial Soul Temple in Gengjin City!

In the original story, Miles was greedy and lustful, and ultimately brought about Tang San's death!
Lin Xia's heart skipped a beat, and a chill ran from the soles of her feet straight to the top of her head!

Fragments of the original plot flooded my mind like a cold tide—nighttime assassination, disguised theft, involvement of the blacksmiths' guild, Mr. Lou Gao throwing himself into the furnace...

Below, Lou Gao had already moved in front of the association members, facing Miles several meters away.

There was no fear on his weathered face, only a burning, suppressed rage, and his voice boomed like thunder in the hall.

"Miles! What do you mean by this?! You brought your men and trespassed into my Blacksmiths' Association, even injuring my guards?! Do you really think my Blacksmiths' Association is made of clay, something your Spirit Hall can mold at will?!"

Bishop Miles's fake smile faded slightly, but his ingrained arrogance remained undiminished.

He slowly and deliberately dusted off non-existent dust from the sleeves of his scarlet robe, his voice carrying a condescending tone.

"President Lou Gao, why the anger? I have only heard that your association seems to have had a strange encounter underground today and obtained some... well, something unusual."

"In order to share His Holiness the Pope's burdens and ensure local peace, I have come to find out the situation, so as to prevent any dangerous items from falling into the hands of the people, or from being coveted by villains, which could bring disaster to Gengjin City."

These words caused an uproar among the blacksmiths' association members! This was clearly blatant extortion!

They use a high-sounding banner to commit robbery!
Lou Gao was so angry that his hair stood on end, veins bulged on his forehead, and his fists clenched so tightly they cracked. His powerful soul force spread uncontrollably, making the surrounding air thick and heavy.

"Bullshit! The things belonging to my Blacksmiths' Association are none of your business to appraise and safeguard! Want them? You'll have to step over my dead body!"

The atmosphere instantly dropped to freezing point.

Miles's fake smile vanished completely, his eyes turned cold and dangerous, and the aura of a high-level Soul Master subtly rose, colliding with Lou Gao's aura and producing an invisible crackling sound.

The Spirit Hall deacons behind Miles also gripped their weapons tightly, their spirit rings glowing faintly.

Conflict is imminent!
Lin Xia, hiding in the shadows of the corridor, felt her heart pounding and her palms were covered in cold sweat.

Looking down at the tense, almost bloody scene, and recalling the tragic ending in the original work, a strong thought flashed through his chaotic thoughts like lightning.

No! We absolutely cannot let it come to that!
Miles has to die, but we can't let anything happen at this time and in this place!

Moreover, the conflict between the Blacksmith Association and the Spirit Hall could have been resolved through open discussion and harmonious coexistence!

The bloodshed in the original work was largely due to Lou Gao's righteousness towards Titan, Miles's greed, and Tang San's so-called "swift retribution"!
 Let's stack the nails first!
The conflict between the Blacksmith Association and the Spirit Hall, or the conflict with the Gengjin City Spirit Hall branch, in my opinion, stems from fundamental ideological clashes, struggles for economic interests, the Spirit Hall's hegemony, and a bit of personal grudges. Lou Gao and Titan are friends, and Lou Gao felt indignant about the plight of the Power Clan.

Of course, more importantly, Miles's character and conduct amplified the conflict between the Spirit Hall and the Blacksmith Association. He deceived his superiors and subordinates in order to gain more benefits.

However, after reading and analyzing the situation, I believe there is a solution. To be honest, the difference in strength between the Blacksmith Association and the Spirit Hall is too great. Since I started with the Blacksmith Association, I can't avoid the Spirit Hall. And given the protagonist's current strength, I can't just start killing directly. So I will think of a reasonable way to resolve this grudge.

In conclusion, the conflict between the Blacksmiths' Association and the Spirit Hall has evolved to the point where personal grudges are no longer important; it is more like a typical conflict between "technological independence" and "hegemonic monopoly."

For the Spirit Hall, the Blacksmith Association is a "fat piece of meat" that is disobedient, capable of posing a threat, and possesses important strategic resources; it must be annexed or destroyed.

To the Blacksmiths' Association, the Spirit Hall was a bandit who wanted to take away the resources and professional dignity they depended on for survival.

These are just my humble opinions, and I'll add them again later.
