Chapter 5 The Walking Disaster!
Looking at Young Gilas's tilted head, its eyes filled with a bewildered yet slightly naive expression, Lin Xia couldn't help but ruffle the little blunt horns on Young Gilas's head and sincerely laughed:

"Younggilas, why is your head so pointy?"

Young Gilas, who had been waving his hand, immediately stopped.

For some reason, it sensed a hint of teasing from Lin Xia. Although it didn't understand the meaning, it felt that it wasn't a nice thing to say, so it immediately became angry, put its paws on its hips, and turned its head away.

"Yoji!!"

Seeing that the little thing still had a temper, Lin Xia smiled and took out a piece of ore from the package, handing it to Young Gilas.

"Young Gilas, I was just complimenting your handsomeness, let's not be angry, okay!"

After smelling the aroma of the ore, Younggiras glanced at it with its red eyes, then quickly turned around, bit into the ore, and began to gnaw on it with gusto, showing no sign of anger whatsoever!
Watching this scene, Lin Xia couldn't help but sigh. Who could have imagined that this cute little guy would grow up to be known as a walking natural disaster!

Having determined the moves and potential of Larvitar, Lin Xia added a new, unwavering task to his journey – move training!
The goal is clear: to improve proficiency in moves and skills, shorten casting time, and increase power!
Thus, the journey to Gengjin City took a dramatic turn.

What was originally a tedious trek turned into a testament to the small-scale geological disasters that occurred along the way.

"Younggilas, rockfall! Aim at that crevice in the rock face!" Lin Xia pointed.

"Yoji!"

With a wave of his hand, Young Gilas unleashed an invisible force that sent several washbasin-sized rocks flying off the ground and crashing heavily into the designated spot, scattering rock fragments and leaving a visible crack in the rock face.

"Well done! Pay attention to guiding your soul power! Again! This time, use the bite to deal with that piece of dead wood!"

Lin Xia patiently corrected the details.

"crunch-"

With a dull tearing sound, the once thick, withered tree trunk was bitten through like a biscuit by Young Gilas's small mouth, which was filled with dark energy, sending wood chips flying everywhere.

After you've mastered the basic moves, it's time for the main event: Primal Power and Dragon Dance.

Boom! ! !

A torrent of dark red ancient energy, mixed with sharp pebbles and dust, crashed down on a low hill like an awakened ancient beast.

In an instant, the upper part of the mound collapsed like a sandcastle struck by a giant hammer, with rubble and mud exploding outwards in a radial pattern, filling the air with dust and leaving behind a hideous crater and scattered debris.

"Dance of Dragons!"

Young Gilas let out a low growl, its small body clumsy yet with a peculiar rhythm as it began to twist and spin. Its short claws swept through the air, stirring up air currents and drawing in the remaining fragments of primal energy, forming a dark red vortex that was constantly condensing.

When the energy vortex was finally completely absorbed by it, the red light surged!
boom!
An invisible energy shockwave suddenly spread out from its center. The soil beneath its feet, which had become soft due to training, was turned over again as if by an invisible plow, forming a clear circular area with a radius of several meters. The soil layer was violently lifted up by the strong airflow, revealing the moister, darker soil and tangled grass roots underneath, like an ugly scar that had just been ravaged.

……

The high-intensity training of techniques consumes an astonishing amount of soul power.

After each Primal Power or Dragon Dance, Lin Xia could clearly feel the exhaustion in himself and Young Gilas's bodies, as if a large chunk had been instantly emptied out—it wasn't just physical exhaustion, but also a deep sense of depletion unique to soul power after its rapid consumption, as if every cell was crying out and burning with thirst.

Young Gilas was used to living with the earth, and its solution was simple and crude—to use what was available.

The little guy plopped down in the soft soil that his primal power or Dragon Dance had overturned, and without hesitation, his short paws grabbed a handful of soil mixed with gravel and grass roots. He stuffed it into his mouth with a "plop" and began to chew it up.

The trace metallic minerals and earth element energy in the soil are rapidly decomposed and transformed by its efficient digestive system, becoming a trickle that flows throughout the body, slowly filling the void in soul power.

Lin Xia watched the little guy eat so heartily, but her stomach betrayed her by making even louder rumbling noises, accompanied by waves of intense weakness.

Lin Xia stared at the last piece of iron ore in his hand, then at the dark, moist soil that had been turned over beside Young Gilas, and was torn between his own mind and his inner turmoil.

The ore was gone, and the little wealth they had accumulated was completely depleted along the way.

In a desperate attempt to expedite the situation, Lin Xia let out a heavy sigh, as if she had made a momentous decision: if Young Gilas could eat it, why couldn't she?

The feedback from the martial soul to the body also gave Lin Xia the ability to eat soil and ore. The reason he didn't eat soil before was because he couldn't get over his mental hurdle!
"Let's give it our all! It's better than starving on the way!"

Lin Xia squatted down, imitating Young Gilas, held her breath, and carefully picked up a small clump of relatively clean, dark soil from the loosened ground, tentatively bringing it to her mouth.

A damp, earthy smell and a faint humid odor assaulted Lin Xia's nostrils, causing her, who was used to the smell of minerals and metals, to instinctively frown.

But the intense hunger and the feeling of emptiness in his soul power eventually overwhelmed that discomfort.

Lin Xia closed her eyes, steeled her resolve, and stuffed the dirt into her mouth.

"Well……!"

The intense nausea I had anticipated did not appear immediately.

The initial taste is grainy and has that characteristic astringency of soil, but as you chew, the graininess gradually disappears, replaced by a... earthy flavor that's neither good nor bad, mixed with a faint mineral note.

It wasn't as bitter or nauseating as I had imagined; instead, it had a rough, heavy taste.

After getting used to it for a while, Lin Xia could even smell a faint sweetness!

Most importantly, just a few bites later, a faint but real warm current slowly spread from my stomach to my limbs and bones!
It was a feeling different from the physical strengthening brought by eating minerals; it focused more on replenishing soul power and a slight invigoration of the spirit!
Lin Xia's eyes lit up instantly.

Although it can't compare to ore, this soil... can really be eaten!

It really can restore physical strength and soul power!
But has Eurythmus changed his sense of taste?
Thinking of this, Lin Xia couldn't help but twitch the corners of her mouth!

"Yo-ji?"

Young Gilas tilted its head, watching its master begin to eat, a hint of gratified smile in its red eyes, as if to say: See, I told you this thing was alright!

Having discovered a new continent, Lin Xia completely let loose.

Forget about manners and elegance; filling our stomachs and replenishing our soul energy to keep going is the most important thing!
Having thought of this, Lin Xia no longer hesitated and immediately started the "buffet" mode with Young Kiras.

Two figures, one tall and one short, sat on the open ground, which had been ravaged by their own moves and resembled post-war ruins. They took turns feasting on the freshly turned soil.

As a result, every so often along this desolate road, there are shocking potholes!
