Chapter 2159 What a G-Class Should Look Like
"What happened?"

Xia Xi couldn't help asking.

Lawrence hesitated for a long time, but finally told the truth.

"Well, the film we invested in was checked by the Film Association and said that it is not allowed to be shown in theaters."

Xia Xi was curious: "Why?"

"Said the grade is... MX OR..."

MX OR? ?
Is there a mistake? ?

The film classification system in the United States is very strict, and the censorship is strictly based on these levels. If it exceeds the level, it will be restricted from release.

Among them, G-rated (public grade) is suitable for people of all ages to watch, there are no sex scenes, and there are very few violent scenes.

PG-level general rating, parents are recommended to accompany watching.

PG-13 is also an ordinary type, but children under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by their parents to watch.

Rated R under 17 requires parental supervision.

NC17 level, those under the age of 17 are not allowed to watch,

NR OR level, undefined level

The MX OR level is not suitable for broadcasting in mass theaters, so it is often played in workshops.

Now, you tell her that the film invested by Su Corporation is the last grade? ?

Not suitable for theatrical release? ?
Is there a mistake? ?

Once the theaters are restricted, the money they invested will never be recovered. Isn't this equivalent to losing money? ?

Xia Xi narrowed her eyes: "You should have a good movie here, I'll take a look."

"it is good!"

Lawrence quickly found the movie, clicked to play it, Xia Xi came over and finished watching the two-hour movie.

Rated? ?

Impossible, the whole movie is the most common American heroism commercial movie, there is no restriction or even bloody violence at all, its rating should be G! !Not even a PG rating!

In other words, this is a film that children under the age of [-] can watch, and the film association directly rated her as the last level MX OR? ?Still want to limit theatrical release?

There is no mistake! ! !
Xia Xi sneered and looked at Lawrence: "Since you are familiar with this place, then go call the president of the Film Association and turn on the speaker!"

Lawrence nodded: "Okay!"

Back in the United States, when he stepped into this circle, Lawrence greeted all the big shots in this circle, and coupled with his previous contacts, he would not encounter any difficulties at all. In short, everything was done at the beginning It went very smoothly, but who would have thought that he would get stuck at the end when it was screened!
Really! !
Lawrence was also furious, and directly called the Film Association.

The president over there, Jin Min, is a greasy middle-aged man with a big belly. He was eating a hot dog. When he saw Lawrence's call, he sneered, "Hey, dear Lawrence, what can I do for you?"

Lawrence suppressed his anger and tried to calm his voice: "I said Mr. Jin Min, I just want to ask, why is our movie rated as MX OR? What the hell is it not allowed to be released in theaters?"

"Well..."

Jin Min wiped the oil on his hands, flipped through the documents in front of him, and saw the movie invested by Su Corporation, and smiled slightly: "Yes, it is MX OR grade!"

Lawrence was angry, and gritted his teeth: "What's wrong with it? What's the difference between a two-hour film and the commercial films out there now? Why is it rated as MX OR?"

Jin Min smiled lazily: "Don't be angry, old man, you have to know that your Su Corporation is a new company, and you don't know the rules in some industries. If you want to be rated as G, you must have a G-rated movie." It looks like it, don't you think so?"
