Dear Daddy Long Legs:
Have you ever heard of Michelangelo?
He was a famous painter in medieval Italy and anyone who took English literature classes seemed to know him.I said he was an angel, and the whole class roared with laughter.But that name does sound like an angel, don't you think?It's too bad that everyone in college thinks you should know something you haven't learned.It was embarrassing at times, but whenever the girls mentioned something I didn't know, I just shut up and went back to the dictionary.

I had a big joke on the first day of class when someone mentioned Matlink and I asked her if she was a freshman.The joke quickly spread throughout the school.Fortunately, my performance in class is as good as anyone else, even better than some people.

Do you want to know how my room is furnished?It is a symphony of brown and yellow.

Pale yellow walls with yellow coarse drapes and cushions I bought, a $3 old mahogany desk, a wicker chair, and a brown rug with ink stains that I covered up with the chair.

The windows are so high that I can't see out of the window from a chair.I removed the mirror on the mirror stand, then spread the tablecloth and moved it to the window, looking out the window on the table, the height was just right.

Sally Macbeth helped me pick out these things, and the upperclassmen often do some auctions.Sally has lived at home since she was a child, and she is quite experienced in furnishing.If you've never had more than 5 cents in your life, it's hard to appreciate the joy of shopping -- take a real $5 bill and get some change back!I can assure you, dear uncle, that I am really grateful for your allowance.
