The Republic is so violent
Chapter 169 The Jade Hand Points General Record
Chapter 169 The Jade Hand Points General Record (2)
...Cai E naturally also set foot here when he met and entertained guests on weekdays, and Yang Du and Liang Qichao were frequent visitors among them.Liang and Yang once fell in love with a prostitute named Hua Yunxian. This Hua Yunxian's younger sister, Xiao Afeng, was the oiran of Bada Hutong. In the end, little Afeng was hidden by Wang Kemin's golden house.Yang Du is passionately in love with Hua Yunxian. It is said that his "Declaration of the Preparatory Security Council" and "On the Salvation of the Nation by the Monarch Constitution" were written by Hua Yunxian.Yang and Liang once performed a farce in which they were jealous of the sea.Later, Yang Du married Chen Wendi, and Hua Yunxian wanted to marry Liang Qichao, but Liang pretended to be a figure in the new society of monogamy and made fun of Yang Du.
From the data, it is clear that Mr. Wang Zhong and the old man did not figure out which woman Yang Du and Liang Qichao were fighting for. Here it is clearly Hua Yunxian, but in another place in this book, Wang Zhong and the old man Mr. hinted at another possibility:
... It is rumored that Liang Qichao and Yang Du fell in love with a prostitute from Hubei at the same time, but Yang Du spent [-] yuan to buy the woman, which angered Liang Da, so he resigned from the chief justice and gave Yuan Floating south after leaving a letter of resignation...
We can hardly explain the similarities and differences between the two paragraphs before and after. At this time, the process is no longer important, and the important thing is the result.
The result is: because of a girl, Liang Qichao and Yang Du turned against each other.
Speaking of Liang Qichao, he can be called a hero. He participated in the Reform Movement of [-] and disturbed the world.Forgive me for Yang Du, so why should I be afraid?
There are different teachings: the hero is helpless and passionate, and he becomes a beauty when he is angry.Dinghu abandoned the world that day, thousands of rivers and mountains are just waiting for leisure. In order to avenge this one-shot revenge, Liang Qichao made great wishes and made up his mind.Aren't you, Yang Du, promoting the monarchy?Well, I, Liang Qichao, will overthrow the monarchy. If you don’t get mad at you, Yang Du, we’re not done with this matter!
05 History repeats itself
Many years later, Mr. Zhang Taiyan, a master of Chinese studies, suddenly woke up overnight, squatted in the corner of the bed and pondered for a long time, and said: The reason why the Hongxian monarchy failed was because there were three people who couldn't get along with the other three.
Liang Qichao couldn't get through with Yang, which led to the failure of the monarchy.
Zhang Yiling had a hard time with Xia Shoutian, which led to the failure of the imperial system.
Lei Zhenchun had a hard time with Cai E, which led to the failure of the monarchy.
Please pay attention to Mr. Zhang Taiyan's hint: here is people against people, not people against things. Those who oppose the imperial system are not opposed to the imperial system, but they turn around and take positions in the anti-imperialist camp because they want to oppose people in the imperial system.Among the three groups of people fighting here, Zhang Yiling and Xia Shoutian were both Yuan Shikai's secretary. The fight between them did not affect the progress of the imperial system. It was Liang Qichao vs. Yang Du and Lei Zhenchun vs. CaiE.
But Liang Qichao said that his beloved woman was taken away by Yang Du and humiliated by Yang Du. He was so angry that he rushed to Tianjin to discuss with his closed disciple Cai E about overthrowing the imperial system.
It happened by coincidence that Cai E was also feeling awkward at this time.Although Yuan Shikai intended to reuse him, and even did not hesitate to offend Beiyang, the soldiers of Beiyang did not dare to provoke Yuan Shikai, so they could only trouble Cai E.The former has the sixth of the seven evils, Lei Zhenchun, who deliberately produced an official document that someone persuaded Cai E to engage in Yunnan independence to stimulate Cai E.Just as Cai E was being stimulated to such an extent that Liang Qichao came again.
Liang Qichao persuaded his disciple Cai E, what's the point of having an imperial system, it's not fun, it's better to overthrow the imperial system, that's interesting. So what kind of overthrow method?
Yi Er, this matter is arranged so that Cai E is now reused by Yuan Shikai, and the opportunity is rare, so he stays in the capital and urges Yuan Shikai to ascend the throne. And Liang Qichao went to the south to lobby the army. After Yuan Shikai really ascended the throne, Cai E went south again and directly raised his troops. I believe that even if Yuan Shikai was not pissed to death, he would be pissed off.
But isn't such a way of doing it a bit unreasonable? After all, it was Yang Du, not Yuan Shikai, who robbed the woman. You, Liang Qichao, should trouble Yang Du. Why do you want to fix Yuan Shikai?
There is no way, the blame is to blame Yuan Shikai for using Yang Du instead of Liang Qichao. Since your old Yuan dares to use Yang Du, you have to bear the consequences of using Yang Du.If you don't get rid of Yuan Shikai, how can you settle Yang Du?
Regarding this 100% personal grievance, sometimes Jiang Ziqi and others said: (Yuan Shikai) use Yang Du to get rid of the politicians in the world, use Xia Shoutian to get rid of the world's shackles, use Duan Zhigui to get the world's soldiers away, use Liang Shiyi to get rid of the world The financier goes away.
That's what real history looks like.
The reason why you choose a certain political camp is not because you have any good feelings for this camp, but because you want to distance yourself from people you hate. You are against people, not things.
This time, it was Yang Du who forced Liang Qichao into the camp against the imperial system. And a long time ago, Liang Qichao did something that squeezed another friend into his hostile camp.
In the early years, when was it early?Still in the late Qing Dynasty, Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao called for opposition to the imperial examination, and contacted the famous scholar Wu Zhihui, and made an appointment on the day of the imperial examination. At that time, Wu Zhihui was so stupid, he believed everything people said, but on the day of the exam, he really didn't enter the exam room.Unexpectedly, Liang Qichao, who called for the dismissal of the exam, took his seat in the exam room early. He came out satisfied in the exam, and this incident almost didn't drive Wu Zhihui crazy.
Since then, Wu Zhihui has distanced himself from Liang Qichao. Wu Zhihui must do the opposite of what Liang Qichao is doing. No matter which camp he is in, he cannot stand with Liang Qichao. In this way, because Liang Qichao was the Junxian faction at that time, Wu Zhihui chose the revolutionary party camp without hesitation.
And this time, history repeated itself.
The reason why history has to repeat itself when there is nothing to do is because the laws of history are the laws of human nature. The laws of human nature do not change, and the laws of history do not change. When the current situation constitutes the previous historical scene, the laws of human nature will naturally repeat the old events at that time.
Liang Qichao and Yang Du were originally from the Junxian school, and Liang Qichao's qualifications as a monarchy were older than Yang Du's.But in order to distance himself from Yang Du, Liang Qichao was forced to choose the camp against the imperial system.
And this time, Liang Qichao will find that he is teaming up with the Japanese to once again set off a bloodbath on the land of China.
06 The saddest emperor in history
After a while, time suddenly became important. Many secrets are hidden in time.
General Cai E left Tianjin on November 1915, 11, and stole to Japan. After arriving in Yokohama, Cai E wrote a lot of letters and postcards. The content of the letters was to falsely claim that he was being treated in Japan.Another person took the postcards and traveled all over Japan. Whenever he went to any place, he would post one to Yuan Shikai to create the illusion that Cai E was wandering around Japan.
And General Cai E has actually left Japan and is flying to Yunnan to meet the overwhelming assassination.
Here, Cai E has fled, but he has made many fake documents to fool Yuan Shikai. This flicker was very successful, not only fooling Yuan Shikai, but also successfully fooling many historians. Many historians always find that the time is not right when researching this period of history, and they are so anxious to bang their heads against the wall.
December 12th, at eight o'clock in the morning.Duan Zhigui suddenly informed the staff who were working in Zhongnanhai to go to Jurentang immediately. Everyone arrived in a daze, but was surprised to find that Yuan Shikai was wearing the military uniform of the Generalissimo, bald, standing beside the dragon chair, with infinitely sad eyes. , looking at everyone.
My God, he just got on the throne in such a muddled way.
No way?This is too immodest.
However, this is true. Yuan Shikai said in a sad tone: I have always sacrificed my life to save the country. Today, you forced me to become emperor.
This is Yuan Shikai's declaration of proclaiming himself emperor. Listen to how tragic it is.
In Yuan Shikai's heart, he knew it very well.In the past, no matter how big his family business was, he was the only one who did the work. Even if he was politically liquidated, he was the only one to be liquidated. But now, since he has become the emperor, if anything happens, the whole family will be doomed.
What do you think the emperor is doing?
On the day Yuan Shikai became emperor, General Cai E arrived in Hanoi.
On the day that General Cai E arrived in Hanoi, the killing order followed like a shadow, and he rushed after him.
So who is going to kill General Cai E?
The most worry-free explanation is Yuan Shikai. This matter should naturally be attributed to Yuan Shikai, because General Cai E's trip was to raise troops against Yuan Shikai's proclaiming emperor, so it is reasonable for Yuan Shikai to send assassins to chase and kill Cai E.
However, the killing order was not really issued by Yuan Shikai.
Having said that, Yuan Shikai was aboveboard in his whole life and never assassinated a single person.Although it is said that many people who were assassinated and died have been attributed to him, none of them have been confirmed. So far, almost all the evidence accusing Yuan Shikai of assassination is this sentence: Because assassination is Yuan Shikai's usual method... But this sentence was used in the assassination of General Cai E, but it finally revealed his truth.
07 Li Liejun wins Yunnan again
Just two days after General Cai E arrived in Hanoi, party member Li Liejun led his troops to Yunnan and was blocked when Haiphong entered Yunnan.Li Liejun called Tang Jiyao, who was guarding Yunnan at this time, and said in his usual upright and bright style:
This is the country and brother, and it has been many days since I arrived in Laokai, and I will break through the customs and enter Yunnan within three days.Even though my elder brother executed Yu by gun and repayed Yuan Ni for his meritorious service, he dared not count on it.
Tang Jiyao saw the letter and sent his younger brother Tang Jiyu to meet him the next day.
It was Li Liejun who was one step ahead of Cai E and entered the Yunnan Army.
Ji Yiqiao, an old revolutionary, recalled that he was the brigade commander of the Second Dali Brigade at that time. Tang Jiyao had just signed the persuasion form, imploring Yuan Shikai to become emperor. The most well-informed reporter immediately caught the big news and reported in the newspaper: Li Xiehe (Li Liejun, also known as Xiehe) came to Yunnan to rebel.
The party members who came with Li Liejun saw the newspaper and said angrily: Who is this? Who allowed you to write indiscriminately?Find out who this reporter is... and quickly find out the reporter. The next day, the reporter was walking excitedly on the road with the interview book under his arm. A few people suddenly appeared in the alley, stopped him, and said, "Hey, brother, let me inquire about the news that Li Liejun came to Yunnan to rebel. Did you write the news?" of?
The reporter said: Yes, I wrote it.
Several party members asked: Why did you write this thing?Who allowed it?
The reporter laughed: Are you mistaken? This is the Republic of China, and news interviews are free.Even President Yuan Shikai, we reporters can scold at will.
The party member shook his head: Yes, you can scold Yuan Shikai casually, but you are absolutely not allowed to scold party members.
What are you kidding? The reporter laughed: Didn't you say that you party members are better than Yuan Shikai?
That's right, all the party members laughed: Anyone who dares to speak ill of us is our enemy, and we will destroy him mercilessly. For the remaining people, do you still have the guts to say that we are not good?
As they spoke, the party members grabbed the reporter and twisted his arm: Which hand wrote the article scolding us?That's right?Let's not use this arm anymore, okay... There was a crackling sound, and the reporter let out a shrill scream, and his arm was broken.
After breaking the reporter's arm, the party members left refreshed and happy. The poor reporter dragged his broken arm and went to the police station to report the case. The chief of the police station is called Tang Jiyu, and this Tang Jiyu is actually Tang Jiyao's younger brother Tang Jiyu.He has two names and two positions.
After hearing the details of the reporter's report, Tang Jiyu stuck to the reporter's ear and said, "It's what you deserve. Do you think the party members are as kind as Yuan Shikai?"Can you scold me casually? In Yuan Shikai's era, you can do whatever you want.In the era of the party members, the party members can do whatever they want.Otherwise, why would the party members insist on killing Yuan Shikai? So, since you caused the trouble yourself, I advise you to pretend that your arm is not broken, go home and write articles praising the party members, maybe you can live a few more days this way.
This case, even if it is dealt with, can be closed.
Inferred time, the occurrence and handling of this case, if not on the day Li Liejun arrived in Kunming, would be after the 22nd.
Because on the 17th, Tang Jiyu led two companies of guards and a team of gendarmerie arrived in Ami. He met Zhang Yikun, the county magistrate of Ami. He did not tell Zhang Yikun clearly that his trip was to meet an important person.
The assassination that Cai E encountered happened in this place called Ami.The person who carried out the assassination happened to be Zhang Yikun, the magistrate of Ami County.
08 Who issued the assassination order
There were many different versions of the details of Cai E's assassination in Ah Mi at the time, which made the case confusing and shrouded in suspicion.
Mr. Liu Bingrong compiled a number of historical materials and wrote down the process of Cai E's assassination:
… Zhou Hang of Mengziguan Road and Zhang Yikun, magistrate of Ami County, had sent Yuan Shikai a secret telegram to prevent Cai from entering Yunnan. After receiving the call, Zhou and Zhang held many meetings in the Mengzi Customs and Road Administration, and decided to organize an assassination team to hunt or snipe from Vietnam to Yunnan. After the investigation found that Cai had already arrived in Hanoi, he would enter Kunming in a few days by Yunnan Yue train. If the sniper failed to succeed, he would host a welcome banquet at the Bi and A stations, secretly put poison in the brandy wine to kill him, or rob him, etc. Affection.Since Cai E arrived in Kunming safely, Zhou and Zhang absconded out of the country in fear of crime. Tang Jiyao ordered Hekou to supervise the arrest, and the arrest was brought to the provincial judicial office.Unexpectedly, when the Hekou Superintendent received the electricity, Zhou and Zhang had already sneaked across the boundary overnight.Later, when Zhou Han arrived in Hong Kong, Zhang Yikun stayed in Vietnam Old Street because he was waiting for his concubine Zhang Su'e. At that time, the Superintendent of Hekou was about to extradite Zhang Yikun to the French side. On the second day, his concubine Zhang Su'e went to Hekou and was stopped by the inspection office. , ordered him to ask for a guarantee, if he could not ask for a guarantee, he could notify the county magistrate Zhang to cross the river mouth from Laojie to prove that he was his family member, and he was allowed to lead him across the river mouth. After Zhang Yikun received the letter, he crossed the river mouth to prove it, and was immediately arrested and sent to the provincial court. (Liu Bingrong's "The War to Protect the Nation")
Mr. Liu Bingrong narrated that Cai E arrived in Kunming at 12:22 p.m. on December 9. After meeting with the officers, he didn't speak much because of his throat disease, so he went back to the guard regiment headquarters to rest.At this time, Zhou Hang, the Mengzi Guan Road, and Zhang Yikun, the county magistrate of Ami, were making various arrangements to kill Cai E. When they learned that Cai E had arrived in Kunming and knew that he was in big trouble, they ran away in a hurry.Zhou Hang fled to Hong Kong, but Zhang Yikun was ensnared by his concubine Zhang Su'e and threw himself into the trap. He was immediately arrested and brought to the provincial court, where he was killed.
There seems to be nothing wrong with this history. However, according to the historian Wang Zhonghe after sorting out many historical materials, he came up with a completely different version from Mr. Liu Bingrong:
... After Yuan Shikai learned that Cai E had returned to Yunnan, he immediately ordered Tang Jiyao to rob and kill Cai.Tang was born in a scholarly family in Huize, Yunnan. He saw that Cai E, who was originally from Hunan, enjoyed a high prestige in Yunnan, so he hated him very much, so he ordered the Ami Hotel (now Mengzi) more than 500 miles away from Kunming. The governor assassinated Cai E in order to avoid his own suspicion. However, the governor of Ami Prefecture was too useless. He just wounded Cai's servant. Cai E's master and servant arrived in Kunming safely on the evening of December 1915, 12.Cai Ming knew that Tang Jiyao was the murderer in the dark, but he didn't bother with him in the face of the enemy, and advocated raising troops to challenge Yuan immediately...
Here, the two historians finally managed to pinch together. Mr. Liu Bingrong and Mr. Wang Zhonghe, there are four differences in their descriptions of Cai E's assassination:
1.The time of the two parties is inconsistent. Liu Wen said that Cai E arrived in Kunming on the evening of the 22nd.Wang Wen said that General Cai arrived in Kunming on the 19th, a difference of three full days.
2.The numbers were inconsistent. Liu Wen said that Tang Jiyu led two guard companies and a gendarmerie to escort Cai to Kunming. Wang Wen said that Cai arrived in Kunming with two servants.
3.The assassination process was inconsistent, with Liu Wen saying that the assassination did not actually take place and Wang Wenzhong hinting at a fierce ambush.
4.The way of issuing the assassination order was inconsistent. Liu Wen said that Yuan Shikai directly gave the order to Ami County Magistrate Zhang Yikun, while Wang Wen said that the person who issued the assassination order was actually Tang Jiyao.
In our previous historical research process, we have never encountered such troubles. The descriptions of the same event by different historians are so far apart that the distance between the two has reached the point where they cannot be interpreted mutually.
You must know that all historians’ research is to bring together the historical materials of the parties from different positions, confirm each other and expose each other, and finally filter out the overly strong subjective emotions, and obtain a state description that is closer to the objective facts. But here, this trick doesn't work, there is no way to apply it.
Why is this so?
This is because of the intervention of a false information, which led to the disorder of the historical system. It's a bit like listening to the radio and being jammed by electronic signals, making the broadcast fragmented and messy.Even though there are multiple parties listening, what each person hears is fundamentally different from what others hear.
So here, this false signal, what is it?
It was Yuan Shikai's erroneous interpretation of the assassination order that caused the distortion of historical facts.
First of all, let’s look at Mr. Liu Bingrong’s statement. He said that Yuan Shikai sent a telegram to Zhang Yikun, the county magistrate of Ami, and asked him to rob and kill Cai E.How can this be?As the president, how could Yuan Shikai issue such a ridiculous order to a small county magistrate? Moreover, this secret assassination order was not only issued to Ami County Magistrate Zhang Yikun, but also received by Zhou Hang, the Guandao of Mengzi.Just imagine if an administrative official of this level has the ability to assassinate? How much secrecy is there? If Yuan Shikai was so stupid that he casually ordered a small county magistrate to assassinate a famous military general, with such a low IQ, why would he be the president of China? How low is the IQ of the people in this country if the mentally handicapped can be the founding president of the country?
(End of this chapter)
...Cai E naturally also set foot here when he met and entertained guests on weekdays, and Yang Du and Liang Qichao were frequent visitors among them.Liang and Yang once fell in love with a prostitute named Hua Yunxian.
