Chapter 24 Deciphering Lies Requires Capturing the Physiological Responses of the Liar

Chapter 24 Deciphering Lies Requires Capturing the Physiological Responses of the Liar
If you are proficient in physiology and psychology, you can directly control the other party's consciousness without being noticed by the other party.Let the tricks of liars have nowhere to hide.

Physiological psychology is a science between physiology and psychology. It hopes to build a bridge to unravel complex psychological processes such as emotion and thinking by using knowledge of human body electrical currents and biochemical processes.

Human attention, memory, unconditioned reflexes, conditioned reflexes and behavior rules, analyzers (mainly used to study hallucinations), fatigue, pharmacological effects, etc., all belong to the research category of this section. The usual practice of the FBI is to use one or more of them for lie detection. The following methods all start from the level of physiology and psychology, which can better help you find and crack lies.

§§§The first section interjects to mess with his mind
Interjection can be mildly hypnotic when done correctly. In other words, these interruptions serve as a momentary pause while the listener's brain is processing the incoming information.Intervention is used when you need to control the flow of a conversation, or to reframe a conversation. The function of interrupting is to give you time to concentrate and calm down when the other party's thoughts are "short-circuited".Since most of these interjections are confusing, you may have to read it a few times to figure it out yourself. And the liar who is talking about it, of course, can't answer it for a while. In this way, the liar's mind is confused, and the distance from obtaining the truth is getting closer and closer.

"Didn't you notice what you forgot?"

"You really believe what you think you know?"

"Why are you asking me something you're not sure about?"

"The less you think about it, the more you agree..."

"Do you think you know what you're thinking?"

"Why do you agree with something you already know?"

"Why would you believe something that isn't true?"

"What happens to you when you have a certain thought?"

"Your answer tells me what you didn't realize."

"Your problem is that you know what's going on, don't you?"

"Can you give me... an example... that might help."

"If you expected me to believe what you said, you wouldn't say it."

"You can pretend like you know everything and you're good at it."

"I understand what you're... saying... just because you say it doesn't mean it's going to come true."

§§§ Section [-] Implementing a Psychological Split
The method of "psychological splitting" is to "split" the opponent into two halves, split the opponent's "psychology" into two parts, and let the two parts fight against each other. This process can make the other party feel more comfortable telling the truth.

The two parts of the split are the confrontation between the original liar and the present who will never hurt you. This process greatly reduces the other party's sense of guilt, because he no longer feels obliged to justify and be responsible for what the "previous him" did.

In conversation, repeat sentences like the following.

"You probably would have done this kind of thing in the past, but I know that you will never do it now."

"You are only responsible for who you are now. You are an honest and trustworthy person."

"The you now are different from the you before. I believe that you should hate and hate the you before. But you are no longer the person you used to be."

These simple sentences can weaken his defenses.Sometimes these sentences work right away; other times, it can take some time. But if he hears that sentence over and over and over again, his defenses must break down and he will tell the truth.

§§§ Section [-] Embedded Instructions

If you yell directly at a liar: Tell the truth! If the other party is not a cowardly person, he will definitely hide himself better. And the method of implanting instructions directly into the subconscious mind of the other party is much smarter.

The following is an example of using embedded instructions, which are marked in bold black font:
"I don't force you unless you want to. Now, if you feel like you have something to tell me, then say it. You'll tell me anyway when you know it's the right thing to do. Facts. But maybe now we can clear things up."

The entire sentence is received at the conscious level of the person, but the embedded instructions (the part in bold) go directly to the subconscious. This method is very simple to use, just follow two guidelines.

In order to be most effective, this command must begin with an action verb, because you are telling the other party's consciousness to take some action;
The entire embedded instruction must be distinguished from the rest of the sentence by a so-called "analogue token".

When using embedded instructions, pay attention to the following points:
When you speak the command, turn the volume up or down slightly.

There is a short pause before and after the command is spoken.

When you give an order, use gestures from time to time to distract the other party's attention, so that the embedded order is received by the subconscious mind and regarded as an order. But it has to be casual and laid-back.

§§§ Section [-] Finding Specific Associations
In life, we can also see many examples of "conditioned reflex".For example, a few years ago, you had a bad experience with a certain pollen, so when you smelled it, you felt nauseous.Or hear an old song that reminds you of a former friend.Just because most people have specific emotions or emotions about "something" or "something", as long as we find this connection, it is easy to see through the other person's true heart.

For example, in poker entertainment, when the opponent makes a subconscious gesture under certain circumstances, it may reveal his mind. For example, whenever an opponent gets nervous, he blinks, looks down, or moves his body in a certain way. That's when professional poker players know how to pay attention to these "talking" moves to gain insight into what cards their opponents are holding.

All we have to do is find someone's connection to something or something. In this way, in any situation, as long as the other party is lying, you can know immediately.

§§§ Section [-] adjusts the pace that resonates

When our words can resonate with each other, the chatterbox between each other can be opened effortlessly.Only when we reach a "rapport" with someone and are in agreement with the other person on the psychological level, we may first adjust ourselves on the physical level, such as to match the other person's gestures, posture or speaking speed. We call such adjustments "pacing".Once this step is done, you can take control of the situation.

When you get closer to the person, offer him anything to "talk to" and what he says will correctly reflect what he thinks (psychologically). In this way, you can adjust the direction of your topic according to the content of his conversation (his thinking).Dominate his thoughts by telling her why telling the truth is the best option for him.

For example: "I understand that we all make mistakes, and you want to let it go this time. I believe that if I were in your shoes, I would feel the same way. However, because I am not you, I only Can tell you how I feel. (The sentence begins to guide the other person) Let's be honest. When you tell the story, you'll know it's the right thing to do..."

§§§ Section [-] implants a hint

When you keep trying to get the truth out of the other person's mouth, he may be ready to resist all kinds of accusations in his heart. But when his heart turns on himself, he automatically speaks the truth.

When you can't change the real world the other party lives in to learn the truth, then you have to change his view of the real world, starting from the physiological and psychological level.Doing so can also achieve the desired effect.

If your neighbor tells you that there's been a spate of burglaries in the area lately, you'll notice in the next few days that trash cans seem a little out of place; letterboxes look a little odd; cars across the street A little suspicious. At night, you will hear every little sound inside the house.Though you've probably heard these sounds a thousand times before.

After your neighbor tells you "there's been a string of burglaries in this area," it's done planting a cue in your head. This hint naturally manifests itself in your mind.

If you think that a fat female colleague Wang Hong has been stealing office supplies from the company. Then you can take the following two methods of implanting hints to make her stop her behavior.

Implantation hint method 1: "Wang Hong, have you noticed that when people look at you, you seem to have a weird expression?"

Regardless of whether Wang Hong has stolen or not, what is certain is that after hearing these words, Wang Hong will definitely feel suspicious in her heart, feeling that everyone is staring at her.If she does keep stealing company supplies, this self-suggestion will consume her mind until she stops stealing.

Implantation hint 2: "Wang Hong, do you know that the whole office is talking about the theft of office supplies? Have you noticed that they seem to be staring at you all the time."

This sentence is more direct and more confrontational than Implantation Implication Method 1.If Wang Hong did steal office supplies, she would soon believe that everyone knew about it, because she found everyone staring at her.Either she will resign in shame, or she will take the initiative to admit her mistake, at least the company supplies will not be lost again.

§§§第七节 4—3—2—1,1—2—3—4法则
When the brain receives several pieces of information that it considers to be true, it will consider the hints following the information to be true as well.As long as the cue isn't an obvious sham, the brain will believe it to be real.

"You sit there (statement one), think about it (statement two), and think about your options (statement three). You want to do what is best for you (statement four), and that thing ——( (hint one: tell me what happened).

"We know you've been convicted of robbery in the past (statement one) and know what it's like to be in prison (statement two). You definitely don't want to be in there again (statement three). I want you to— (hint one: understand me on your side), and I want you to— (Hint #[-]: Understand the benefits of telling the truth).

"You want to get out of here (statement one). You know I don't have time to spend all day with you here (statement two). Telling the truth may make you— (hint one: feel better). You can too —— (Hint [-]: Saved a lot of trouble). You can also— (Hint [-]: Continue with your life).

"You've been on the streets most of your life (Statement [-]). This is your chance to start over. For yourself—(Hint [-]: Think about it), you—(Hint [-]: Development after reform). You can— (hint three find a respectable job), and you can (hint four: take better care of your family)."

Follow the entire interrogation, even if the suspect bites hard at the beginning. But after completing the whole process, the general psychological defense line of criminal suspicion will be opened. Will soon confess his guilt.
