Today, I heard that the current Emperor Tang is going to hold a water and land meeting, and there is also a reincarnated Tathagata As the master of the altar, Jiang Liuer, the disciple of the Buddha, Guanyin immediately became overjoyed, and determined the candidates for the Buddhist scriptures.So Avalokitesvara and Mu Zha turned into two Laitou monks, holding the brocade cassock and nine-ringed tin staff bestowed by the Buddha, and started selling them on the street.As for the three hoops of gold, tight and forbidden, they flowed down.

Although Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has become a Laitou monk, the cassock and tin staff bestowed by the Buddha have not changed, so some people also saw these two treasures, so some foolish monks who were not selected came to buy these two treasures.

The foolish monk stepped forward and asked, "Monk, how much do you want for this cassock and tin staff?"

The Bodhisattva replied: "Five thousand cassocks and two thousand tin staffs!"

After hearing the Bodhisattva's words, the foolish monk immediately laughed and said, "You two monks who rely on your heads are fools! How dare you charge seven thousand for these two things?" After finishing speaking, he left!And when the Bodhisattva set a price, everyone who had thought about it also left!

The Bodhisattva didn't explain, and led Mu Zha to move on. After a while, he came to the Donghua Gate, just in time to meet the Prime Minister Xiao Yan, and the Bodhisattva didn't dodge and went straight to Xiao Yan's car.

Xiao Yan stood in the horse and saw that the cassock and tin staff were extraordinary, so he asked people to ask for the price.The Bodhisattva also said the price of the cassock and tin staff without any change.

As soon as Xiao Yan heard that such a high price was required, he asked: "What are the benefits of your cassock and tin staff? Why do you ask for such a high price?"

The Bodhisattva said: "The cassock has advantages and disadvantages; there are places where you want money, and there are places where you don't need money." Xiao Yan said: "What is good? What is not good?" It is a good thing not to fall into hell, not to suffer from malice, not to encounter the disaster of tigers and wolves; if a foolish monk who is greedy for lust and joy in misfortune, a monk who does not fast or fast, or an ordinary person who slanders the Buddha, it is difficult to see my cassock face, this will be a blessing. It's not good."

Xiao Yan asked again: "Why do you want money, and don't want money?" The Bodhisattva said: "If you don't follow the Dharma, don't respect the Three Jewels, buy cassocks and tin staffs by force, and you must sell them for 7000 taels. This is asking for money; if you respect the Three Jewels, Rejoice when you see good things, take refuge in my Buddha, and if you can afford it, I will give him the cassock and tin staff to form a good relationship with me, and this means no money."

When Xiao Yan heard what the Bodhisattva said, he felt that the Laitou monk in front of him was an expert, so he led the Bodhisattva to see Taizong, and the Bodhisattva followed Xiao Yan to the palace without any change.

After entering the palace, Xiao Yan told Taizong about the incident. When Taizong heard such a strange thing, he asked the Bodhisattva, "What are the benefits of your cassock and tin staff? They are worth a lot!"

When the Bodhisattva heard Taizong's question, he explained the benefits of the cassock and tin staff one by one.After listening to the Bodhisattva's words, Emperor Taizong decided to buy the cassock and tin staff, so he asked the Bodhisattva, "I bought this cassock and tin staff to give to a virtuous mage. I wonder how much you want?"

Unexpectedly, after hearing Taizong's words, the Bodhisattva clasped his palms together and took refuge with Mu Zha. He said the Buddha's name, bowed and said, "Since he has virtue, I would rather give it to him! No money is required." After speaking, he walked out.
