When meeting elders, even if you are riding a horse, you have to get off the horse, and when you are sitting in a cart, you have to get off the cart; when the elders walk past, you have to wait for a while, and you can only leave after the elders have walked a hundred steps.

Cheng Hao was born in Luoyang, Henan Province. Yang Xiu's demeanor of standing in front of the teacher's door and waiting for the teacher regardless of the severe cold weather with heavy snowfall was appreciated by later generations, and the allusion of "Cheng Men Lixue" came from this.
