Chapter 2

Wound inspection, cleaning and disinfection, debridement and trimming to remove foreign matter, cut off necrotic tissue, and finally suture the wound.

After the whole process, it was dusk outside, even though Tao Wenwen had full experience, his whole back was still wet with sweat.

She let out a foul breath, and returned to the living room through the door of the backyard.

Sitting in the living room, the man who is about to become her "new father" has not left yet, and her cheap mother is peeling apples for him, with a blushing face and lowered head, looking like a shy little daughter-in-law.

Tao Wenwen glanced at you, me, and them, and went back to the utility room with a blank expression on his face, holding the clock.

The young man who thought he had fainted from the pain opened his eyes at this moment, and when he saw her coming in, he struggled to sit up.

"It took me three hours for the operation, and my backache and back pain have not passed. Don't give me another three hours. I promise I will die!"

Tao Wenwen took a few steps to push him back on the bed, squeezed his arm and looked at the clock to count his pulse.

"I..." the young man was about to speak, but just as he opened his mouth, a mouthful of black blood spit out from his mouth.

Tao Wenwen jumped to the side like a rabbit and dodged.

"It's dangerous." She muttered, "Almost splashed me all over."

The young man looked at her with dark and obscure eyes.

"Where am I?" he finally asked.

The clock was spattered with two drops of blood, and Tao Wenwen wiped it off with the corner of the sheet.

"The utility room of Tao Wenwen's house." She said.

The clock became clean again, and her frown also eased.

"I mean, where am I?" The young man's face turned pale from the tearing of the wound.

He asked again with difficulty: "Address, location?"

"Is Tao Wenwen's house considered a location?" Tao Wenwen raised his eyes to look at the young man.

The young man lay back on the narrow bed discouraged, thinking to himself, is this a fool?
Tao Wenwen looked at the clock, gave the young man a pulse again, and shrugged, "Don't ask, you just don't know."

The young man turned to look at her, "You saved me?"

"The pulse is normal." Tao Wenwen withdrew his pulse-pressing hand.

She didn't answer the young man's words, but carried the clock back to the house where she lived, and put it back to its original position exactly.

The man who was sitting in the living room, who was about to become her "new father", had already held her cheap mother's hand, and the two were sitting close together, talking in a low voice.

Tao Wen went back to the utility room dully, watching the young man lying on the bedside vomiting blood for the second time.

She pulled out the jar with the ants in her pocket.

"I'm going to Zhang Erye's house to change my stutter. Wait a minute, don't die." She didn't look at the young man, as if she was talking to the air.

The young man was limp and limp on the bed.

He looked sideways at the door, and Tao Wenwen had long since disappeared.

The clock ticked in the house where he lived, and it was getting dark. Mother Tao had already put on her apron and started busying herself with dinner in the kitchen. The man who was about to become Tao Wenwen's "new father" was helping her.

Tao Wenwen, who said to wait and told the young man not to die, finally returned to the utility room when it was dark.

The utility room was pitch black and nothing could be seen.

Tao Wenwen lit a candle.

She walked to the young man's bed and put her hand under his nose.

And breathing.

She breathed out the unsteady breath of her running all the way, smashed all the herbs picked on the road, squeezed out the thick and green juice, squeezed the young man's mouth, and poured it in one gulp.
