Chapter 46 Sincerity

Only the sincerity of the world, in order to be able to manage the great scriptures of the world, establish the great foundation of the world, and know the cultivation of the world, how can one rely on it!Gizzard ③ its benevolence, Yuan Yuan its abyss ④, Hao Hao its sky ⑤.Gou Bugu ⑥ who is clever, sage, and virtuous ⑦, who can know it ⑧?

① Jinglun: originally refers to the finishing of silk strands before weaving with silk.Here it is extended to govern the affairs of the country and create the laws and regulations of the world.Jing, the warp thread of weaving, is extended to common ways and laws and regulations.

③肫肫 (zhūnzhūn): Same as "忳忳", sincere look.Zheng Xuan's note: "Gizzard, pronounced like '忳' in 'Haier 忳忳'. 忳, sincere and sincere appearance."
