"Problem Solving"

The hexagram "Kan" is also called "Kan is water".

Hom, dangerous trap, yang sinks in yin, empty on the outside but solid in the middle, it has the image of fu.

"Xu Gua Zhuan" said: "Things cannot end, so they are subject to hurdles." When you don't know how to avoid "big faults", or avoid them but it is difficult to open a new situation for a while, so bumps and bumps are inevitable. Kan, so the hexagram "Kan" closely follows "Great Overcome".

"Tuan Ci" and "Xiang Ci" used many metaphors rich in wisdom when explaining the hexagram of "Kan", such as "water flows without overflow, and risks without losing faith".But as far as the matter is concerned, the hexagrams and lines of "Kan" talk about a war that was avoided.There are many dangers and traps, no advance, no retreat, no war, so we have to conclude a peace treaty, and those who start the war are locked up.The implication is that "harmony" is the best choice when there are many conflicts between the two parties.

Sixth day of the lunar month: learn from the kan, enter the kan cellar, inauspicious.

Ninety-two: There are dangers, seek small gains.

Six Three: Come to the ridge, dangerous and pillow, enter the ridge, don't use it.

June [-]: bottle wine, gui er, use a sieve, accept an agreement and throw it yourself, and there is no blame in the end.

Ninth Five-Year: The hurdle is not full, it is only flat, and there is no blame.

Upper Six: It is tied with emblem, placed on the thorns, not allowed at the age of three, fierce.

The hexagram "Kan" symbolizes many obstacles: with integrity and unswerving heart, you will be prosperous and you will get help when you move forward.

On the sixth line of the first day, there are many dangers, falling into a deep pit, dangerous.

In the ninety-two line, there are dangers and dangers, and only hope for a small gain (safety is good).

Sixth and third lines, when you go forward and encounter ups and downs, you retreat to avoid danger, and (maybe you will) fall into a deep pit, so don't act rashly.

Six and four lines, one bottle (jug) of wine, two gui (bowls) of rice, a few cans (plates) of vegetables, (sincerely) make a promise under the window, and there will be no disaster in the end.

In the ninth and fifth line, the pit has not been filled, and the hill has been leveled, there is no fault.

The upper nine lines are bound by black ropes and imprisoned in thorn bushes. They cannot be freed for many years, which is dangerous.

"Xuan" said: "Xi Kan", it is also dangerous.The water flows without profit, and the risk does not lose its trust. "Wei Xin, Heng" means rigidity. "There is honor in doing", and it is also meritorious.Natural dangers prevent you from ascending; earth dangers mean mountains, rivers and hills; princes set up dangers to guard their kingdoms.It's great to use in times of danger!

"Xuan Ci" said: "Xi Kan" is like encountering many obstacles.Just like water falling into countless potholes, going through hardships without losing the confidence to go to the sea.The so-called "if you are firm in your heart, you will prosper" is because you have the virtue of fortitude and integrity.The so-called "going forward will get help" means that only going forward can escape danger. (On the other hand) natural dangers, the heights cannot be climbed (flying); the land dangers are the barriers of mountains, rivers and hills; the kings and ministers use the dangers to defend the country.It is really important to grasp the tense of "risk"!

"Xiang" said: "Water's arrival", "Xi Kan".A gentleman practices and teaches with constant virtue. "Learn the hurdle, enter the hurdle", and losing the way is "fierce". "Seeking small gains" is not out of the middle. "The ups and downs of coming" will be useless in the end. "Bottle of wine, Gui Er", the boundary between rigidity and softness. "The hurdles are not full", which means that the middle is not big. "Shangliu" loses his way, and "fierce" is also three years old.

"Xiang Ci" says: "The flowing water keeps coming, this is the image of the hexagram "Kan".From this, the gentleman realizes that he must not leave Changde to engage in and study political and religious affairs.

(The sixth line of the first day) "There are many dangers, falling into a deep pit", this is a kind of "danger" that loses its way.

(Ninth second line) "Only seeking a small gain" means that at this time we are not out of danger.

(Six and three lines) "Going forward and encountering ups and downs", foretells that (the war) will be difficult to win in the end.

([-]th line) "One jug (pot) of wine, two gui (bowls) of rice" refers to the frank and honest exchange between hard and soft (both parties reconcile).

(Ninth and fifth line) "The pit has not been filled yet", which means that although it is in the middle, there are still hidden dangers that have not been eliminated.

"Shangliu" (the culprit of the war) lost his way and was severely punished. He deserved it for years of "dangerousness".
