The hexagram "Ming Yi" is also called "Earth Fire Ming Yi".

The barbarians are destroyed and injured.From the lower part to the upper Kun, the sun enters the ground, the image of brightening and extinguishing.

"Xu Gua Zhuan" said: "Going will hurt you, so you will suffer from it." On the way a person advances, there will always be times when he is not understood, there will always be times when he will suffer setbacks, and there will always be times when he gets more than he wants. At that time, this is "advance must be hurt", so the "Ming Yi" hexagram closely follows the "Jin" hexagram.

If you understand "Ming Yi", you will understand that "Li Lu is not tempted, and hardships are not discouraged."

Sixth Five-Year: Jizi's Mingyi, Lizhen.

Upper Six: Unknown, obscure.First climbed in the sky, then entered the earth.

"Translation"

The hexagram "Ming Yi" symbolizes the disappearance of light: it is beneficial to stick to the right way in difficult days.

In the ninth line of the first day, when the light falls (dusk), it flies away, flapping its wings lightly.The gentleman hurried on his way, and did not stop for a good meal for three days.The reason why he hurried on his way was because he was intimidated by his "master".

In the sixth and second line, the light fell without hurting the vitals. It was saved thanks to a strong and good horse, auspicious.

In the third line of the ninth line, the light fell to the south, took advantage of the time to hunt, and captured the "big head", but still need to make progress slowly, which is the right way.

Liu Siyao, just entered the edge of the circle, and learned the inside story of the fall of the light, so he left here resolutely.

In the sixth and fifth lines, Jizi pretends to be crazy to protect himself when the light falls, which is conducive to sticking to the right way.

On the sixth line, the light is lost and there is darkness.First ascended to the sky, and finally fell to the ground.

"彖" says: Ming enters the ground, "Ming Yi".Civilized on the inside but docile on the outside, in order to face great difficulties, King Wen took it as his. "Li Zhenzhen" is obscure.Difficulties within but able to correct one's ambitions, Jizi took it.

"Tuan Ci" says: The sun hides in the ground, which is the image of the hexagram in "Ming Yi".Introverted, brilliant and bright, outwardly submissive, to overcome this catastrophe, King Wen of Zhou is like this. "It is beneficial to stick to the right way in difficult days", the point is to hide its bright virtue.No matter how uncomfortable the heart is, he can still change his ambition, just like Jizi.

The "auspiciousness" of "June [-]" is also in accordance with the rules. The ambition of "south hunting" is great. "Into the left abdomen", to obtain the mind.Jizi's "virtuousness" is unstoppable. "The first ascended in the sky", according to the four kingdoms;

The "auspiciousness" mentioned in "Liuer Yao" refers to the fact that the horses are docile and know what to do.

(Ninth third line) The choice of "hunting in the south and hunting at the right time" turned out to be very rewarding.
