Chapter 25 Daughter of the Sun

Chapter 25 Daughter of the Sun
Once upon a time there was a woman who was very sad because she had no children. One day, she prayed to Sun Ball: "Dear Sun Ball, please give me a little girl. When she is 12 years old, you will come and bring her back."

Soon, the sun ball gave her a little girl. The woman named her Radike and took good care of her until she was 12 years old.Not long after that, one day, when Radike went out to pick herbs, Sun Ball came to her and said, "Radiko, go home and tell your mother that she must consider the promise she made to me."

Then, Radico went straight home and said to her mother, "While I was picking herbs, a kind tall man came up to me and asked me to go home and tell you to remember to fulfill your promise."

When the woman heard this, she was terrified, and quickly closed all the doors and windows, blocked all the gaps in the walls, and hid Radike, so that the sun ball would not be able to take her daughter away. But she forgot to plug the keyhole, and as a result, the sun ball let a beam of light shoot into the house along the keyhole, grabbed the little girl and brought it to him.

One day, Sun Ball sent the girl to fetch straw from the hut. She sat on the haystack and sighed: "The straw under my feet is sighing, just like I sigh for missing my mother."

Therefore, she took too long to fetch the straw, and when she returned, Sun Ball asked, "Well, Radico, where have you been for so long?"

She replied, "My slippers are too big to walk fast."

Then, the sun ball shortened the slippers a little.

Once again, the sun ball asked her to fetch water. When she came to the clear spring, she sat there and sighed: "This spring is flowing, just like my heart that misses my mother is also flowing."

Therefore, she went back too late again, Sun Ball asked her: "Well, Laidike, why have you been gone for so long?"

She replied: "My skirt is too long, it hinders me from walking."

Then, Sunball cut the skirt a little shorter.

Another time, Sunball asked her to retrieve a pair of sandals. The girl held the shoes in her hand and sighed: "The shoes are creaking, just like my heart is creaking when I miss my mother."

After she came back, Sun Ball asked again: "Well, Laidike, why did you come back so late?"

"My red turban is too wide and it blocks my eyes so I can't walk fast."

Then he narrowed her hood a little more.

However, Sunball finally realized how upset Ridiko was.He sent her to fetch straw a second time, and followed her quietly into the hut, where he heard that the girl was very sad for missing her mother. When he returned home, he called the two foxes to him and said, "Would you like to take Radike home?"

"Yes, why not?"

"You are hungry and thirsty on the way, so what do you eat and drink?"

"Eat her flesh and drink her blood."

Upon hearing this, Sun Ball said: "You two are not suitable for this job."

After sending away the two foxes, Sun Ball called two rabbits and said, "Would you like to take Radike home?"

"Yes, why not?"

"You are hungry and thirsty on the way, so what do you eat and drink?"

"Eat green grass and drink spring water."

"Then take her and send her home."

Then the two rabbits set off with Radike, and because it was too far to go to her house, they were hungry, so they said to the girl: "Dear Radike, climb up this tree and stay on it, waiting for us to eat." Come down when you're full."

So, Radico climbed up the tree, and the two rabbits also went to eat the grass.

However, not long after, a banshee came to the tree and shouted loudly: "Radike, Redick, come down quickly, look at the beautiful shoes I'm wearing!"

"Oh, my shoes are much nicer than yours."

"Come down, I'm busy because my house hasn't been cleaned yet."

"Then you go back and clean the house, and come back after cleaning."

The banshee then leaves and goes back to clean the house. She came back after sweeping and yelled, "Ladick, Reddick, come down, look how beautiful my apron is!"

"Oh, my apron is much prettier than yours."

"If you don't come down, I'll cut down the tree and eat you."

"Then you chop it up and eat me."

So the banshee chopped down the tree with all her strength, but she couldn't cut it down.Seeing this, the Banshee shouted: "Radike, Redick, come down quickly, because I have to feed my children."

"Then you go back and feed them. Come back after feeding them."

As soon as the female monster left, Redick shouted loudly: "Little rabbit, little rabbit!"

At this time, one bunny said to the other: "Listen, Radike is calling us." Then they ran to her side quickly.Radike got down from the tree, and they continued on their way.

In order to catch up with them, the banshee ran desperately. When she came to a field where people were working, she asked, "Did you see anyone pass by?"

"We're growing beans!" they replied.

"Oh, that's not what I asked, but did you see anyone passing by?"

But these people just replied louder: "Are you deaf? Our kind is beans, beans!"

When Radike was almost home, her dog recognized her and yelled, "Wow, woof, Radike is back!"

Mother said, "Stop barking, you wretched beast! Don't make me sad, will you?"

Then the kitten on the roof also saw her, and shouted loudly: "Meow, meow, look, Rediko is back!"

Mother said, "Don't bark! You wretched beast! Don't make me sad, will you?"

Then the rooster also found out, and shouted: "Hey, hey, look, Rediko is back!"

The mother said again: "Be still! You unlucky poultry! Don't bring up my sadness, will you?"

The closer Redick and the two rabbits were to home, the closer the banshee was to them. When a rabbit was about to jump into the house, the banshee caught it by the tail and tore it off.

As soon as the little rabbit entered the house, Redick's mother greeted her: "Welcome, welcome, dear little rabbit, because you brought my Redick home safely, I will inlay your tail in silver."

She did that and lived a happy, prosperous life with her daughter ever since.
