Causal feature one: non-elimination.Cause and effect will not be eliminated, unless you do not do the cause, if you do, regardless of likes or dislikes, the seeds will remain in the consciousness forever, and will not be destroyed.If you have done evil karma, there is no way to avoid the evil retribution. Others will think that you say that cause and effect can be changed, which seems to be inconsistent with the principles of Buddhism. Buddhism teaches that there are causes and effects, and the law of cause and effect cannot be eliminated. , why do you say cause and effect can be changed?right!The law of cause and effect cannot be eliminated. There is also a verse in the scriptures that says: If the work does not perish for hundreds of thousands of kalpas, the karma will meet at the right time, and the retribution will be repaid.It means: If hundreds of thousands of kalpas have passed, the sins created by each person will not be eliminated; you must know that there is a relationship between cause and effect, and when cause and condition meet, the result will still be your own. to suffer.

Causal feature two: non-cancellation.If you did a lot of evil in the past, is it impossible to do a lot of good to offset it now?right!Because the causal rate cannot be offset.Good will be rewarded with good, and evil will be rewarded with evil. This is a certain principle. It is like planting melon seeds and bean seeds on a piece of land at the same time. Later, the melon seeds will definitely produce melons, and the bean seeds will definitely produce beans. Beans will not destroy melons.Good and evil do not cancel each other out. If you have planted evil causes, you will share the rewards. You can't just do something good to offset the deserved sins.However, it is possible to do more good deeds, increase more good karma, and turn bad retribution from severe to light, so-called heavy retribution lightly received, this is possible. good idea.It can be seen that in order to obtain good results from good causes and conditions, it is extremely necessary to do more good deeds in this world.

The characteristic or constitutive condition of causal connection is the relationship of precedence and follow-up, the relationship of causing and being caused.This is the essential characteristic of causality.

The above two characteristics are also indispensable conditions for forming a causal connection. If there is only antecedent and follow-up, but no relationship between causing and being caused, it is not a causal connection.

In addition, we have to clearly understand the following misunderstandings of the causal relationship:

One of the misunderstandings: All phenomena that appear successively have a causal relationship.

Analysis: To form a causal relationship between things, they must have the two characteristics of precedence and follow-up, causing and being caused, and the relationship between causing and being caused is the essential characteristic of forming a causal relationship.Therefore, successive phenomena, that is, a relationship with antecedent and follow-up does not necessarily constitute a causal relationship.

Example: Alternation of day and night, they are the relationship of precedence and follow-up, but not the relationship of causing and being caused, night is not caused by day, they are the result of the earth's rotation, so they are not causal.

The second misunderstanding: the causality of things is the inevitable connection of things.

Analysis: The inevitable connection of things refers to the definite connection that must occur in the development of things, that is, the connection that is certain and inevitable in the development of things, but the causal connection does not necessarily exist between each other.

Example: There can be no waves without wind, there is no above-mentioned connection between wind and waves, wind does not necessarily only cause waves, and waves do not necessarily cause wind.Therefore, the causal relationship of things is not necessarily the necessary connection of things.

Misunderstanding [-]: Cause and effect can be transformed arbitrarily.

Analysis: In the specific causal connection of each thing, there is a strict distinction between cause and effect.The cause and the result can be transformed into each other only under certain conditions. If the conditions do not exist, the error of reversing the cause and effect and reversing the effect into the cause will occur.

Example: In the international community, the aggressor's aggression is the cause, and the aggressed's resistance is the result.It would be completely absurd to say that the aggressor's aggression is the result instead of cause and effect.

Misunderstanding [-]: The causal relationship of things can constitute a mutual causal relationship.

Analysis: In the causal relationship of things, not any kind of causal relationship can constitute a mutual causal relationship, and only the causal relationship of some things can constitute a mutual causal relationship.Because, the transformation of mutual causality requires certain conditions, and if the conditions are not met, there will be logical contradictions in cognition, and even lead to some absurd results.

Example: In the process of wheat growth, flowering and pollination are the cause, and grain filling and graining are the result.If the two are reversed, it will become a joke.

From the perspective of causality, what is the root cause of disease?
How the disease occurs, of course, the factors are very complicated.The Buddhist scriptures explain it very thoroughly, and all diseases can be classified into three categories:
The first category is physical diseases.Most of your daily life and diet are not adjusted. The ancients said that "disease enters from the mouth", and most of the physical diseases come from diet.You can read "Book of Rites", "Lu Shi Chunqiu", and "Yue Ling Pian" for very detailed explanations.We eat bad food, feel the cold, these diseases are effective in medical treatment, and medical methods can be used.

The second type of disease is called unjust karma disease, and there is no cure for this disease.The source of this disease is the enemy and the creditor, which is what we usually call evil spirit possession.The drug didn't work for him.How to treat this type of disease?The transcendence mentioned in Buddhism.What does super mean?In today's words, it is mediation and persuasion.Because things have been done wrong in the past, I hope everyone can understand, and it is better to let go of enemies than to end them.Therefore, the purpose of chanting, reciting scriptures, worshiping and giving him the accumulated merits is to mediate.If the other party accepts it, he will leave, and your illness will be cured.This kind of disease existed in ancient times, and there are more of them now than before.We have seen soul possession at home and abroad. We usually see that this person is neurotic or schizophrenic. If it is serious, it will be sent to a mental hospital for treatment. The more treatment, the worse it will be.Therefore, Buddha Dharma transcendence, chanting scriptures to resolve grievances and explain knots are effective for this type of disease.If you are suffering from the first type of disease, chanting scriptures and worshiping and confessing are not effective, you must find a doctor and take medicine to recuperate.

The third category is karma disease, also called karma disease.This disease is the worst. Doctors and medicines cannot cure it, and chanting sutras and dedication are useless.why?It is not possessed by evil spirits, nor is it a debt collection by enemies, but a kind of retribution of sinful karma.The sinful karma you have created, whether in this life or in the past, will happen when you meet the conditions.But is there any help?There are also.In Buddhism, we repent of karma, you have to truly repent, truly repent, you eliminate your karma, and your disease will be cured.In other words, it is necessary to practice the law of repentance with a sincere heart, to reform one's mistakes, and to "do no evil, but do all good" to eliminate this kind of suffering.This is something that others cannot help, and you must rely on yourself. The so-called "the person who untied the bell must tie the bell", the karma you created must be eradicated by yourself. Although Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are merciful, there is no way to help you eliminate them.

This is the root of all diseases, nothing more than these three categories.We understand these principles, know the truth, and grasp this principle and direction.If we carefully observe what kind of disease we are suffering from, it will not be difficult to treat the disease.

The biggest enemy in life is yourself, and the biggest benefactor is also yourself. You can create a bright and beautiful side of life, or push yourself into the abyss of distress.

No matter you are noble, poor or lowly in the world, or the king of heaven, you must be responsible for your words and deeds.The difference between Buddhism and other religions is that it denies the external gods and emphasizes its own purification, so as to achieve the perfection of life through its own belief and wisdom.Convinced of the value of one's own physical and mental behavior, that is to say, to deny the power of theocracy and other powers, and to become a brave husband who can conquer nature.

For example, if the teacher is the main body, then the teacher is the cause, and the students are the effect. On the contrary, if the student is the main body, then the student is the cause, and the teacher is the effect.This is a causal relationship that exists at the same time.This kind of causal relationship is very intricate. From one perspective, one cause will produce this effect, but from another perspective, this cause will produce another effect.

In short, through the positive and negative explanations, in fact there is no absolute cause, and of course there is no absolute effect.Therefore, everything in the world has always been like this. From the perspective of time, because of the countless causal and continuous relationships at different times, and from the perspective of space, the countless interdependent relationships are organized into an extremely intricate and intertwined web.This is cause and effect, cause and effect, continuous and continuous, which is called the law of cause and effect.It is also like a spinning steam wheel, which goes on and on, and starts again and again.

The theoretical cornerstone of talking about cause and effect without falling into fate and improving destiny is the theory of dependent origination.Under the bodhi tree, the Buddha saw the stars at night, and realized that all things arise from causes and conditions, and there is no exception. Therefore, all dharmas arise from causes and conditions, and all dharmas cease to exist due to conditions. Become an eternal law; the Buddha called this law Dependent Origination.

The life universe of Dependent Origination is a web of relationships everywhere.

Like a tree in a garden, it depends on the seeds, water, soil, and various causes and conditions to be able to arise and exist. This is called dependent origination.In fact, the seed, water, and soil that grow this tree depend on other causes and conditions, and the causes and conditions depend on causes and conditions. If extended in this way, it can involve everything in existence.Conversely, this tree can cultivate landscapes, and when it grows up, the wood can be cut down to make household utensils, and household utensils can be used by people; the tree born by karma can also be used as karma for other things and spread. It is said that things help each other, and they can relate to everything in existence.All things contribute to one thing, and one thing can be related to all things. Everything in the universe is such a network of interrelated relationships.

Another example is that a person’s survival depends on the upbringing of his parents when he is young, education at school and the help of friends when he grows up; all necessities for food, clothing, housing and transportation depend on the supply of farmers, workers, and businessmen; the guarantee of survival, It depends on the organization of the country and the protection of the military and police.There must be all kinds of causes and conditions for a person to survive.At the same time, a person must also use his intellectual ability to do things for the society and be a cause and condition for others.You farm, I weave, and they build houses for others to live in. Human beings are social animals, and society is a combination of division of labor and cooperation among the masses. Its interdependence, coexistence, and interdependence are more clear.Therefore, human life and society are also such a web of interrelated interdependence.

All things are interrelated. There is nothing in the universe that can exist alone without other things; there is no one person in society that can exist alone without other people.Individuals need the support of the public to survive, and they should contribute their abilities to the public to help others survive.All for one, one for all.Everything comes from the masses, and everything returns to the masses.Don't take personal interests too seriously and forget the social masses on which you depend.Instead, we should melt the individual into the public, serve the public for their welfare, and understand the principle of dependent origin, so that we can truly be selfless and help each other.

The word karma means action or fabrication.Any intentional behavior that comes out of one's own mouth can be called karma.Generally speaking, all good or evil actions can constitute karma.In other words, karma can be interpreted as moral or immoral willpower, that is, all actions, reactions or results of willpower.The word karma can also be interpreted as cause and effect.

Since karma is the reaction of willpower, the good and evil karma created by willpower, the seeds of these karma are hidden in the alaya consciousness, and the seeds will manifest when they meet the conditions. Good results, bad results come from bad results, which is the so-called law of indestructible karma. "Miscellaneous Agama Sutra" says:

the seeds you sow,
Thus you receive the same fruit;
He who does good receives good,

evildoers receive evil;

What seed is sown,
and you will taste the fruit.

What I said above is exactly the law of karma, which is that everyone does what he or she suffers, and no one can replace it.You have this result, which is the result of seeding.It is like the seed that produces fruit, and the fruit comes from that seed.This is exactly why cause and effect are not ambiguous, and the fruit must blossom and form from the seeds in the cause.Let’s understand karma, fate, and fruit in Buddhism:

The Buddha taught people to believe in karma and believe in cause and effect. According to the law of karma, there are three times of karma: one is to receive karma in accordance with the present, that is, to create karma in this life, and to receive the result in this life.The second is to receive karma sequentially, that is, to create karma in the current life, and to receive the result in the second life.The third is to receive karma in the future, that is, create karma in the present life, and receive the retribution after two or more lives. This is from the past, present, and future three lives, which shows that cause and effect will not be eliminated.

If there is such a cause, such an effect, good will be rewarded with good, and evil will be rewarded with evil. This is the theorem of the law of karma and causality, and no one can escape it.Only by grasping the pure willpower, making the behavior pure and kind, having the virtues of love, tolerance, forgiveness, non-competition, and non-conflict, and working hard towards altruistic good karma, can the flowers and fruits of happiness mature.

It is an important theory in Buddhism that karma produces all dharmas. Because of karma, we talk about retribution.The cause is the origin of things, the edge is a kind of help or condition, and the result is the later outcome.Cause and effect are all assisted by the power of condition, so the importance of the relationship between cause and cause is worthy of our attention.

Fate refers to the mutual negotiation relationship between all things.Buddhism studies and analyzes these relationships, which can be discussed separately in two ways: mind and form.Mind dharma arises according to four conditions: one is cause and condition, also known as relative cause and condition, which is the seed of karma in one's own mind, which is the main cause of mature mind dharma, so it is called relative cause and condition.The second is the endless relationship, also known as the endless relationship, that is, the mind, the previous thoughts, and the later thoughts that all living beings cling to are continuous, so it is called the endless relationship.The third is the predestined relationship, which refers to the object that all sentient beings cling to. The scriptures say: the heart is not born, but there is a condition because of the environment, so all external conditions are the predestined relationship.The fourth is increasing the upper edge, except for the first three conditions, all other increasing forces are called increasing the upper edge.For example, a person who knows how to smoke wants to smoke because of the seeds of habitual energy in his heart, which is the kinship; the desire to smoke is endless, which is the uninterrupted relationship; when he meets cigarettes, it is the object; the addiction to smoking is great. It is the increasing upper condition; these four conditions mature the behavior of smoking.Materiality arises according to two conditions: [-]. karmic relationship, for example, a coconut seed has a coconut tree as its cause, which is the most intimate relationship called karmic relationship.[-]. Zengshangyuan, such as fertile soil, sunlight, air, temperature, water, etc., which help coconut seeds grow and grow, is called Zengshangyuan.The emergence of all dharmas in the world cannot be separated from the relationship of these four conditions.

When studying the fruit of retribution, it can also be divided into three types: present fruit, coming fruit, and consequence.The causes of good and evil that have been done, if they mature in this life, are called present results; if they mature in the next life, they are called future results;

This is from the time of the three generations, which shows that cause and effect are the inevitability of the growth and success of everything. There is such a cause, and such an effect is like an effect. Although the relationship between them is extremely complicated, it is orderly and flawless.

At the same time, there are two reasons for the fruit retribution that is mature in the present life, mature in the next life, and mature in the afterlife. When it is born in the same year, it can bear melons and fruits, but when a peach pit is born, it will take three or four years to produce peaches; the second is the strength of the predestined relationship. Insufficient planting power, poor soil, insufficient sunlight, and lack of air will naturally delay the ripening of melons or peaches.

Some people do not understand the theorem of karma and effect, and suspect that if karma is reliable, how can they see that many good people in the world do not die well or suffer retribution?And those bad guys who do evil, enjoy themselves every day and night, and live a very prosperous and comfortable life?From the perspective of the cause and effect of the three generations, this principle is very simple, that is, a good person suffers the retribution of suffering in this life, because the evil karma he planted in the past is now ripe, and he must first suffer the fruit of suffering; although he does good deeds in this life, the good cause is weak. The good karma is not yet mature, and you will have to wait for the next life to receive the good fruit.

Conversely, it is also the same principle that a wicked person will get good rewards when he does evil. Because the good karma he planted in the past has already been ripe, he will enjoy the reward first. no.Karma will eventually be rewarded in the end, and we only strive to come early and come late. This is worth pondering.

Karma retribution, self-reliance, whether it is true or false, we might as well test it for ourselves, the so-called facts speak louder than words.

Right cause and right effect, Buddha and devil are two heavens
As the saying goes, if you sow melons, you will reap melons, and if you sow beans, you will reap beans; if you sow good, you will reap good results, and if you sow evil, you will reap evil results; good starts and ends well; good people have good people to support them, and evil people have evil people and devils; exchange hearts for hearts, love for love, etc. All of these have revealed the law of causal positive and negative responses in the law of causality, that is, if the positive cause is applied first, the positive result will be obtained later, and vice versa.

Many high-level leaders have quite good eloquence, and they can speak eloquently and wittily, making the listeners excited and quickly moved.

Are their eloquence natural?Obviously not, it was practiced the day after tomorrow.If you want to learn swimming, you will never learn it by listening to it in class. What the teacher tells you is always just about swimming knowledge, but knowledge does not equal ability.The teacher tells you how to improve your eloquence, but that is just knowledge and does not mean that you have the ability to eloquence.

We must know that knowledge is learned, and abilities are mostly practiced.To know the taste of pears, no matter how many books you read, you will never really know the real taste of pears until you taste them yourself.The same is true for eloquence. Only by constantly training, training with anyone at any time, any place, during the training, you will gradually understand what other people like to call you, and what you still lack. Otherwise, you will never be able to quickly improve your eloquence .

From this law of cause and effect, we have a deeper understanding of the world, a deeper understanding of how to behave and do things in life, and have strengthened our outlook on the world, life, career, love, life, health, etc. know.It makes us know: God has its own justice, what you pay will be rewarded, reading the book will be beneficial, good people will be rewarded, and evil people will be rewarded with evil.

We know that the way of heaven has no relatives, and it is always with good people; the sky's net is restored and sparse but not leaked; it's not that it doesn't report, the time has not yet come;...

Now we know that what we sow will reap what we sow, and we will reap the right results when we sow the right cause. Therefore, in our daily life, if we encounter unhappy people, things or things, if we want to change our destiny, we have to think positively. You have to think more about the good when things happen.
