I shivered as night started to fall, Micah started to gather wood to make a fire.

"You stay by the fire and keep warm, I'll tend to the horses and bring back something to eat." He kissed my forehead before grabbing the kings bow, we had just cleaned up the dragon from her wounds. She was far too large to bury but we did say a prayer welcoming her into the afterlife. I simply cannot believe how todays events unfolded. I was suppose to be starting my life now but here we were shaken by the fight and still had no idea what to do with the egg. Whoever controlled this dragon had access to untold power, no human should have that kind of power we're too corrupt a species.

I sat by the fire caressing the eggs surface, the grooves and bumps on it seemed familiar. Then I remembered I still had Floras journal, and inside it a map of the country side. Pulling out there map I held it next to the egg and was astonished, the egg and the map were identical. Could this egg lead us to the dragon nests?

Micah entered the cavern a small pig tied to his shoulder, looks like he found dinner. He cooked us up a nice little meal,

"I didn't know you could cook. " I stated as I cleaned the meat from the rib licking my fingers clean.

"I can't cook much but i sure know how to roast some meat!" He chuckled, it was a pleasant dinner despite the circumstances.

"Micah, the eggs texture matches my map exactly..."

"Huh? Let me see." He took the map from out outside hand, inspecting it carefully.

"Do you think we can find the nests?" I asked eagerly.

"It might be possible, but there's no path marked on here so I don't know for sure. "

That was disappointing, no one had been to the nests in decades so we would have no guide.

"Hey don't look so sad, we'll figure this out. "

"You're right. It's just discouraging. " I sighed.

"Let's get ready for bed, we'll regroup with my parents. They'll know what to do."

"Ok....but where are we sleeping?"

"I have a blanket but theres only one..."

"Are you suggesting..."

"The night's get cold so it's either we use our body heat to warm each other or take turns making sure the fire stays lit."

I sat there pondering for a few minutes,

"You won't try anything?"

"I swear, I'm a gentleman remember?"

"I won't tell anyone you slept with a man before marriage" He laughs.

We laid the thick blanket down and crawled underneath it, my heart was racing as we lay there next to each other I was glad it was dark so he couldn't see how red my face is.

The next morning I woke up to find we were hugging each other while sleeping, I won't deny it was very comfortable. I was content in going back to sleep when I heard a small squawk. Startled I looked up and perched on my hip was a small golden dragon.
