A Race to Melt Hearts

His eyes held pride, this little boy was not someone who could be easily trampled. He held his little sister's hands as he reprimanded the crying girl.

"Big brother... *hik* they bullied me again *hik* they said I'm weak"

He pulled his little sister closer. The little boy's chest felt like exploding in anger, he really hated to see people bullying his little sister, who's health was complicated.

"Dee-Dee big brother is here, no one will hurt you now. How many times have I told you, you don't need to cry in front of them so you won't look weak" he raised his little fingers and patted his little sister's head.

"But I'm not as strong as you Big brother Gee" he pinched her cheeks

"That's what you get for acting like a baby, if you don't learn how to act appropriately to the situation then that'll leave you weak. And if you don't know how to handle the situation, it's easier to retreat. Dee, if you cannot defend yourself then that'll make people think you're weak. But since I'm here, I'll wait for you to grow up, I'll defend you till I can, because it's a big brother's duty to guard and take care of his little sister."

The little girl looked upon his older brother. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she knew she'll be safe. Her brother will be capable of defending them both.

"Remember, what have I told you?"

"If I can't take it, I'll just count...

Then his little sister hugged him. He continued patting the head of the little girl.

"Thanks big brother, please don't leave me."

"Why did you say that?"

She looked up.

"Because..." The girl was silent

"Don't worry I won't, never will." But the boy ensured her before she could think of a reason.
