A Race to Melt Hearts

It's past 11:00 p.m. and I should have decided to leave my office, but I haven't. Nothing excites me when I go home.

Yes, I have a large and a luxurious mansion, with gardeners, maids, guards and chefs, whose willing to serve me, but nothing appeases me with happiness. It's like having everything that's unimportant, yet lacking things that makes it a home. I could stay awake for days, being a workaholic made sense than going back to a place most people call home.

Everyone should be envied and lucky if they get the chance to live in a place as luxurious as mine. But I'm not.

Happiness is nowhere when it feels like you're living alone. My parents were dead, my grandparents cease to exist, I'm not close with my relatives, and my best friend already made his trip to heaven. So I'm all alone, not even if I have people working under me, not even if the society's eyes revolve around me, and not even if I get all the efforts and affection that most people need.

Till how long am I going to suffer in this suffocating emptiness?

How long will I need to wait for a change to occur?
