Chapter 317: Explanation

While Wu Dahu and Yuan Wenxuan were still both working hard to discover the truth, Muye had already withdrew his hands and he was frowning staring at the chest of the man who was currently lying on bed. He said gloomily, “I failed.”

Song Qinghan stared at him and said in a tone with little ups and downs, “Take a rest yourself, you’ve run two surgeries in a row. And you must be quite exhausted right now, you are not going to succeed under such a condition.”

He said so without mercy so that he was able to give Muye no possibility to talk back. Sure enough, Muye paused and did not say anything while throwing the scalpel into the plate aisde and then wiped his hands saying, “Go and have a rest, I will summon you later if I need your assistance.”

Song Qinghan nodded. Even though he was without any extra expression, he indeed felt quite relieved inside. He then turned around and then walked towards the room Wu Dahu and Yuan Wenxuan stayed.

But just as his figure was about to get rid of Muye in sight, to his surprise, Muye suddenly spoke, “Hey, I have to admit that your husband does have a perfect body.”

Such an abrupt statement dragged Song Qinghan’s step. But he did not say anything as if he was pretending that he failed to what Muye meant over saying so. “Yes.” he sounded casually, and then strode out leaving.

After he finally arrived at the room, he reached out to slam at the table wrathfully as if to release the outflowing anger and he grumbled, “How vicious he is!”

Wu Dahu heard so and got close to Song Qinghan, and then pulled his hands, asking out of concern, “What happened? If he has done something way beyond our willingness, why don’t we just take our action before him.”

Song Qinghan looked outward the next moment while squinting his eyes, and then he calmed down gradually as his face showed his great peacefulness and he whispered, “No, I will figure out to send you off here.”

What now? Was he going to handle everything against Muye alone? How would it be possible for Wu Dahu to agree with that?

“No way, we should get out of here together. We are coming here to rescue you, not to witness you sink deep in this swamp.” said Wu Dahu, sternly.

His tone was full of sternness that Song Qinghan was utterly shocked the next moment, and Song Qinghan nodded, promising, “Alright, I will figure some other ways out. But if we really have to confront the most perilous moment, I hope you will follow my suggestion, okay?”

Yuan Wenxuan replied with nothing but was looking at Wu Dahu as if to wait for this adult’s response.

However, Wu Dahu was just pursing his lips there while the great and unswerving determination was filled deep in his eyes. It seemed that he was not about to give a positive response to that request.

Song Qinghan was in great resignation after that, and he could do nothing further but lean to get closer to them while whispering in a low voice, “He seems to have selected your body.”

Upon hearing that, Wu Dahu paused with his eyes full of confusion, seemingly he did not understand what Song Qinghan was trying to express.

Well, since he had exposed the evilness of Muye to the two now, he decided to divulge everything about the Saint Son’s secret, “His blood has been changed while the other unimportant organs have been changed as well. He wants to get the rest critical organs which are difficult to manage by himself changed, and that’s why he needs me.”

Upon hearing so, Yuan Wenxuan took aback while Wu Dahu still remained the decisiveness by his expression. And the boy asked in a great disbelief, “Critical organs? Do you mean these all?”

While saying, he pointed at himself at several certain spots as if he was not that confident on his statement. That was why he chose to show the position by pointing.

Song Qinghan took a casual glance at Yuan Wenxuan and answered, “Yes, you’re right.”

The boy, however, opened his mouth wide in shock after Song Qinghan’s answer as if he just heard something unbelievable.

Wu Dahu came back to his senses at the same time, and he frowned and spoke, “What you mean is that he is trying to snatch people’s organs and transplant into his body?”

Song Qinghan took a glance at the door subconsciously. Even though he had no idea why those sneaky snakes did not follow in behind, he hurried to answer, “Right, and this is the way he keeps himself immortal. And in fact, this method turns out to be feasible.”

What was beyond his expectation was that such an advanced theory was in fact discovered by an old man in this ancient time.

Yet in a further consideration diving deep into this affair, it was still explainable. People in the modern time surely already had developed the mature technology on organ transplantation, but restrained by the social order and moral, such behaviors were totally banned.

Things reversed when the situation was put into the ancient time and the unknown region where disturbance and chaos were reining. In this place of nowhere, everyone was allowed to do anything, even taking over an entire regime and becoming an emperor was possible.

They could do what they wanted, let alone kill several people. They could murder anyone as long as they wouldn’t attract the official court’s attention.

And Muye, the one who had lived underground for dozen of years, was smart enough having his own tactic to escape the attention of the official court.

In recalling the first scene meeting Muye, Song Qinghan couldn’t help but sigh.

He just thought that he had met a mate who experienced the same adventure, and he even shared a lot of stories happened in the modern time with this guy. To his great surprise, Muye showed no any excitement and interest to his stories at all. And it was not until he found himself behaved hyper-excited did he realize something and stop being insanely talkative.

When he stopped talking, it was Muye’s turn to shock him through.

And indeed his accumulated medicine theories were what Muye lacked of. So Muye asked him directly to be his copartner after several tentative questions, and cooperated with him to create the so-called ‘New Era’.

As he was about to refuse, he found Muye had already succeeded investigating all his background stories. Muye knew the deed that Song Qinghan not only had once quelled down the smallpox cases, but also cured all the patients who got contagious skin diseases when he was in the village very long ago.

The investigation would never be that easy to be realized through investing large sum of money in. Even though the so-called Saint Clan was small-populated and their dwellings were shabby enough, who ever knew whether they owned something behind them?

Helplessly, Song Qinghan could only choose to succumb to Muye for the time being, trying his best to conceal his intention within and being quite obedient to Muye’s orders.

And it was totally beyond his expectation that Wu Dahu and Yuan Wenxuan would come over in an attempt to rescue him. Although he was touched, such an abrupt action, under such environment, was in fact an unwise tactic for them.

Wu Dahu came to know that Song Qinghan must struggling violently inside as he found that Song Qinghan was showing his long face there. And then he reached out to grab Song Qinghan’s hands, whispering gently, “If he wants to do it, let him. We can’t stop any maniac who is out of his mind anyway, if we manage to do something to meddle, he will get even crazier.”

What Wu Dahu said awakened Song Qinghan from his thoughts. Leaning forward, he gripped Wu Dahu’s hands as a response while murmuring, “It makes sense, he should be going crazier. Right…”

Noticing that Song Qinghan was sinking again in his thoughts, Wu Dahu did not sound to interrupt, but exchanged glances with Yuan Wenxuan while motioning the boy not to say anything further. The two stood there quietly accompanying with Song Qinghan.

There was no way for them to distinguish the day and night underground, so they could only make a judgement about time by dint of their own physical reaction.

Just as Song Qinghan finally came back to his senses again, he could clearly feel that he was starved right away.

The old man who worked in the kitchen came in without knocking the door from outside as no one even knew how long he had stayed out there. And he placed all the soups and food on the table while uttering in a feeble tone, “Eat, and deliver the rest to Muye after you get full.”

Yet just before he was about to leave, he suddenly turned his head back toward the inner room as if he had something suddenly occurred to him in his mind, “Will you guys join the heaven worship ritual, won’t you?”

“We have no idea about that, let’s see how the Saint Son will show his attitude.” Wu Dahu took the initiative to answer as he was the only one who had once contacted with this old man.
