The banquet was scheduled earlier than expected. Shortly after, the news about the Shi family holding the celebration banquet at the main house circulated——many socialites and celebrities received an invitation to attend the banquet.

In a corridor, a young boy tugged uncomfortably at his collar. The old butler accompanying him stopped to straighten his collar and bowtie. The light from the banquet room illuminated the corridor and covered the young boy’s side face with a glaze-like brightness. The young boy frowned slightly, his dark downcast eyelashes giving him an ethereal quality. “Do I have to wear this?” Shi An pointed at his tuxedo.

“Of course.” The old butler straightened the corner of the tuxedo and gazed fondly at Shi An. “Look at how handsome you are now!”

“Looks ugly,” Shi An said in a low voice. Suddenly, he thought of something and stared at the old butler hopefully. “Can I……”

“Don’t even think about it.” The old butler emphatically cut in before Shi An could complete his sentence. His face turned a little blue when he thought of the “gorgeous” clothes Shi An picked out——glittering gold sequins and accessories scattered around the entire body. The clinking sounds produced when he moved and the shiny light reflected were bright enough to blind a person——it was much more awful than the average ostentatious style. 

Shi An became dejected after hearing the old butler’s resolute words. “……Okay,” he replied glumly before lowering his eyes. His long and thick eyelashes fluttered like a small furry animal. 

What an obedient child! The old butler sighed. Young master does not have any bad habits except that……he doesn’t seem to have good taste. He straightened Shi An’s tuxedo and patted away any dust on it. 

“Young master, after today, you'll move back to the main house,” the old butler said with mixed feelings of relieval and a bit of reluctance. 

Officially, the main house was Shi An’s home, but he did not live there. Instead, he lived in a small villa far away from the main house. Now that Shi An had finally passed the Mage school’s magic detection test, surely he could move back to the main house.

Shi An's eyes immediately lit up. “Does that mean I can wear……”

The old butler eyebrows twitched and replied vehemently, “No!” 

The servant outside the banquet room noticed Shi An and the old butler approaching and opened the door to the room. A sea of bright lights and bustling voices poured out from the room.

“Go!” The old butler eagerly nudged Shi An towards Shi Ze Chun.

At this moment, Shi Ze Chun picked up a glass of champagne and lightly knocked on the glass using a silver spoon——“ding ding.” The guests quieted after hearing the tinkling sound and turned their heads towards Shi Ze Chun, waiting for his next words.

Shi Ze Chun cleared his throat and announced: “Today is my son’s school enrollment celebration banquet.” With a slight smile on his face, he put his palm on the shoulder of the young boy beside him. “Xiao Rui has passed his first magic detection test this year. “……” The old butler was stunned speechless, hardly able to believe his ears. He had not expected this——Shi An was not the protagonist for today’s celebration banquet.
