After the original outline was over, the follow-up parallel time and space plot revealed the protagonist's character problems, because his character characteristics were not obvious, or not extreme enough, to help promote the plot at all.

Later, it was easier to write about Arale, and then I noticed this problem. Compared to the protagonist with a complicated and vague personality, Arale is a simple and extreme character that is easy to write.

And some of my attempts, multiple roles, big scenes, battle descriptions...

Sure enough, they are all weaknesses.

In addition, I also know why most of the protagonists are in groups of 3, rarely more than 5, and it is indeed easier to write in this range...
