Ancient Phoenix Modern Life

Saturday at dawn;

Phoenix was floating crossed legs in her room, she opened her eyes when someone opened the door. There, Lily entered with a big yawn, her mind was still half asleep, and she dragged her feet instead of walking properly. Phoenix was aware that Lily grew accustomed to wake up at 8:00 am; be it for work or on free time.

A grin formed on Phoenix's face, flicked her fingers in direction of the door, a blurry trail followed the movement, before she pretended meditating. Lily felt a jolt and yelped. Looking at Phoenix' direction, she saw her meditating, seemingly unfazed. Somehow, she felt irksome.

Staring for moment, she gave in and sighed helplessly, Lily knew she couldn't do anything to Phoenix, for now. She asked as she approached Phoenix: "Was it necessary to wake me up so early?"

Phoenix continued her act for a while, but when she met Lily's gaze, she knew she didn't fool the latter. Without the slightest bit of embarrassment she wore the same grin she had the past week, she said: "It's important for your training, especially for your first time! The Cosmic energy is abundant at dawn, because of this I had you to wake up at this time. Now let's go, I'll tell everything as you start cultivating."

Lily nodded and they both walked to the backyard. There, Phoenix told Lily how to proceed from her stance to the to technique to follow to gather cosmic energy; doing as she was told, a phenomenon startled both woman.

A vortex of cosmic energy gathered around Lily, which flooded inside her. Phoenix widened her eyes; she was startled for a second and hurriedly went to sit behind Lily. She put her hand on Lily's back, preventing the energy flood from overloading Lily's Cosmic accu-point.

The huge amount of cosmic energy that entered Lily's body caught her off guard. Just as she felt she couldn't take it anymore, she felt the amount decreased significantly, she relaxed, and continued absorbing the energy following Phoenix' technique. She continued absorbing the energy in a slow pace, and she did that for 4 hours non-stop, only then did the vortex started to gradually dissipate.

Phoenix was exhausted, her body was drenched in sweat and she breathed heavily; In contrast, Lily felt refreshed. She exuded a gentle aura that would pacify the most savage beast. Phoenix sustained serious internal injuries due to the space storm, she still didn't healed completely from it, resulting in her exhausted state after using her cosmic energy for this tiny amount of time.

As she regained her senses, Lily noticed the sorry state Phoenix was in and felt guilt for some reason. She did the same as the first day, she bent down to carry her inside the house. Phoenix tried to protest, but Lily's gentle aura prevented her from doing so, she could only let Lily carry her. for the first in a long while she felt serene, she mumbled softly: "Grace you did well..."
