On that day, a sea of beasts surrounded the young man.
No matter how many he cut down, the number of magic beasts did not decrease.
Even this young man, strong as he was, started panting and he felt as though his sword was getting heavier by the second.
And then: Light.
It danced like the wind, pierced like the rain, and engulfed the beasts like flames.
The young man fought alongside the light without knowing why it had come.
They helped each other, complemented each other’s moves, grew stronger, and overwhelmed the magic beasts.
The light was a young woman.
Beautiful and loved by the fairies, the young woman manipulated magic.
The young woman, too, had been pursued by magic beasts and forced into solitude.
She found a light that was on the verge of extinction and she jumped on it with no regard for herself.
What would’ve been difficult to do alone was no longer such a hardship when she and the young man joined forces.
Together, they gained strength, found comfort, and finally had aspirations.
Together, they remembered the warmth in their hearts and found the will to protect it.
Eventually, the pair set out to defeat the magic beasts once and for all.
They vowed to defeat them in order to protect each other.
The two of them stood up to the Demon Lord and brought peace to the world.
The young man who wielded his sword and defeated the Demon Lord was called the Hero.
The young woman who helped him with the power of the fairies was called the Sorceress.
