Summer Festival ~Lovers~

Fireworks of various colors were going off one after another.

But more than any beautiful fireworks, I couldn't take my eyes off from Tachibana who is in front of me.

"It seems we can't be friends anymore."

Tachibana's words are repeated in my mind.

I could still feel Tachibana's lips on mine.

Right now! Now is the proper time to convey my feelings to her.

When she apologized to me for tearing up my painting, when we went to the last station together, when we held hands at the pool at night.

Different memories together with Tachibana is running through my mind.

I made up my mind and opened my mouth.

"I will make you smile more than anyone else."

I told her everything I wanted to tell her.

I wonder if I conveyed my feelings properly.

My heart is racing and I can feel Tachibana's warmth being transmitted to the hands that I'm holding.

Tachibana looked down and murmured.

"That's so unfair."

"How could I say no to such a request?"

Tachibana then looks up and stares at me.

"I... I like you too."

"I've kept thinking that what I've done to you was unforgivable and I always think that maybe you thought that I was being too familiar with you."

"But I wanted to spend more time with you."

"I don't care if you're not cool or even if you aren't good at sports, just promise me to stay by my side forever."

Tachibana then looks at me waiting for an answer.

When I look into her eyes I saw that the fireworks are being reflected on them.

"Yes, I promise."

I held Tachibana's hands strongly.

I wanted to protect her hands, which was smaller and warmer than mine.

It was such a simple thing to do.

Why did I hesitate?

I should have expressed my feelings to her sooner.

We both felt the same way.

I don't care what happened on the past all I know is that I love her.

"Make me smile a lot, okay?"

Tachibana says that while smiling.

I'm really glad that I invited her to the summer festival.

After a while they fired the biggest fireworks display of the day.

The fireworks shoot high into the sky spreading all over the night sky and brightly coloring the darkness.

The fireworks looked even more beautiful as I held hands with Tachibana.

It looks like as if they were celebrating with us.

Our relationship was different from before.

We're not friends anymore... we are lovers.
