They still couldn't see the source of the sound behind the bush. Isobel, Tyler, and Dannie were already panicking as Tyler pointed his gun towards the moving bush.

'Whoever or whatever is out there, please come out,' Tyler said in his thoughts and the bush moved once more, making them more afraid.

Suddenly, someone jumped out of the bush, making Tyler pull the trigger. They saw a familiar person who was scared to wits and luckily, Tyler had missed and had shot the ground instead.

It was Geof.

"Damn, man," Geof reacted as he sighed in relief. "I thought I was goners," he added and the three sighed in relief as well, to see that it was their friend, Geof.

But what is Geof doing here? He was in Pangasinan, but now he's here?

"Why are you here," Tyler asked and Geof approached them as he updated them with what happened.

"Most of my members are dead and we ran here. Most of us dispersed," Geof answered and the three were quite surprised to have heard this news.

"Where are the others then," Isobel asked and Geof just shook his head.

"What?! Then what's dad doing," she asked and Geof sighed, as he recalled on what happened.

"He made a plan. Your other members who could fight volunteered to attack. They are designated on the house's balcony to shoot down zombies. Some of my members who survived are helping, too. We lack medics as of the moment. There are some injured people," Geof said and the three panicked. They were not expecting this.

"Shannara, Sheloah, and Veon are not with us at the moment. But we have to do what we can," Tyler said and Isobel nodded.

"We have to hurry. I need to treat those who are injured," Isobel said and everyone left, with Geof taking the lead.

They stopped in front of a car that Geof had brought to their current location. It was a pick-up car of Dannie's father. At the back of it, a motorcycle is found. Geof entered the car and Tyler sat beside him, on the passenger's seat. Dannie and Isobel sat behind them and when everyone was settled, Geof drove back towards Dannie's house.

Everyone was already worried about the situation back at the house. Tyler's hands turned into closed fists as he worried about his comrades. They already lost a lot of lives—lives of their classmates, lives of their friends, and lives of their families.

Tyler looked at Dannie on the side mirror. Because of Josh's love, she still lived and now works with them. She chose to fight so that she could avenge for Josh's death. But Tyler thought why. Now that the person has disappeared, that was the only time they realized how important they are.

Tyler sighed as he realized that he couldn't blame Josh. If ever the person he loves, Alice, is in a dire situation, he would also do the same: to sacrifice himself for her welfare.

Tyler shook his head as he now stared at the road in front of them. Once they get back to the house, he swore to protect everyone.
