As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me
Chapter 242 - Here's The Exclusive Reward For You
Because it was Monday, the mall wasn't too crowded with people.
Himari brought Chiharu and Izumi to the indoor playground. After that, they would go to Kazuya's office and wait for him to have an early dinner together. That was the initial plan.
Himari was quite nervous because this would be her first time going to his workplace. The building where the company was set up was located not far from this mall.
Kazuya had given her the directions to go there.
"Oh~ So many games and toys!"
Chiharu's eyes twinkled like two stars the moment they stepped inside the playground with socks on their feet. Her cheeks puffed up in excitement, both of her hands clapped together a few times.
"Which games Chiharu wanna play first?" asked Himari after she sent a text to Kazuya, saying they had safely arrived at the mall.
"Hehe, wanna sell cakes and cookies~ Can I, can I?"
The dumpling answered cutely. One of her short arms pointed in a direction.
"Sure," Himari patted her head, "Let's go over there."
The playground was actually resembling a small conceptual theme park. Here, the children can play and learn at the same time.
Besides the usual play equipment like slides, swings and sandpit, the role-playing area was the main attraction here.
They can choose to be a doctor tending to a baby doll first before changing to a cashier who operated the counter of a convenience shop. Several stalls were set up for the children to play pretend with.
The one Chiharu wanted to play with was the bakery stall. Two children and an adult had just left the area, leaving it vacant.
"Chiharu be the baker and cashier~"
"Then, I and your brother would be the customers~"
Both Chiharu and Himari spoke in a singsong voice while the latter put on a pink apron over the dumpling's tiny body. On one side, Izumi was busy taking photos.
Kacha.
Kacha.
Kacha.
Hurm, just let him be the cameraman ah.
Soon, the play began.
"Welcome~ Do you wanna buy my cakes and cookies! They are yummy yum!"
Chiharu was quick to enter her role. Himari laughed to see how adorable she looked standing behind the counter.
"En, which one is the best, Miss Baker? All of them look tasty!" asked Himari, playing along with her.
Because the stalls were built to suit the children's size, all of them were quite short. Himari sat on the provided stool to match Chiharu's height.
"These macarons are pink and cute, they are sweet and delicious~ You know, I stayed up all night to make these strawberry shortcakes ah! And then..."
Himari covered her mouth. She almost laughed out loud as Chiharu exaggerated while roleplaying.
Several colorful plastic cakes, cookies and bread were displayed on the counter. Chiharu's tiny hands were busy showing them to Himari.
As her relationship with Kazuya got deeper, Himari wanted to integrate more with the siblings, letting them feel that they could depend on her as to how they be reliant on Kazuya.
Considering that she wasn't actually anyone to the siblings like Kazuya was, Himari understood there would still be faint and thin lines between them but, at the very least, she hoped the siblings could also trust and be comfortable with her.
"Chiharu, do you wanna be a doctor next?"
"Let's go! Let's go!"
After finished roleplaying as a baker, Chiharu was excited to roleplay as a doctor next.
Izumi had to restrain himself from laughing at the sight of Chiharuwearing a doctor's white coat.
Her face frowning, she was now intently pressed a stethoscope on Himari's chest and mumbled something.
"Why Teacher Kato is soft ah? Uncle's chest is hard. Chiharu almost got my head hurt when Chiharu knocked on Uncle."
Himari also refrained from bursting out laughing.
She hoped a certain someone wasn't sneezing right now because Chiharu was badmouthing him.
They spent almost one hour playing at the indoor playground. The siblings took a few short breaks between the time.
"Your uncle should finish working soon," Looking at the wristwatch, Himari made a remark, "Let's go to his office now?"
"Okay!"
It was a quarter past five. Countless vehicles filled the roads as work hours ended.
Kazuya said he had to work until six. Instead of making him be in a rush just to pick them up, Himari thought it was better if they went to him themselves.
Himari flagged a cab then gave the address to the driver. The two siblings looked exhausted, they were quiet as they sat in the backseat.
In less than fifteen minutes, they arrived at the building. They might get here sooner if not for the traffic jam.
"Izumi, you know the way to your uncle's office, right?" asked Himari while carrying the sleepy Chiharu. The dumpling dozed off on her chest.
"Yes. Teacher Kato, follow me."
The boy was so reliable. He brought Himari inside the building then straightaway led her to where the office was.
As they walked, Himari glanced around her. Several other small establishments were set up here. She even saw the sign of a psychiatry clinic on the directory board.
"We're here."
Himari tilted up her head, looking at the glossy surface of the sign hanging above the main entrance of the office.
EastDex1.
Ah, this was Izumi and Chiharu's father's blood, sweat and tears, the very thing that Kazuya wanted to protect on behalf of his brother.
"We have to key in the password if we wanted to get in," said Izumi while typing on the keypad next to the door, "Or, the guests could simply press the doorbell."
Himari smiled, "Your uncle told you the password?"
"He said I'd just bother the receptionist if I don't do this," replied Izumi with a sigh and a shrug, looking like an old man.
Himari laughed. That was so like Kazuya.
Soon, the interior of the office was revealed in front of Himari. It was neat and sleek with no unnecessary decorations. The white and black theme suited the place well.
Right now, the office was deserted as the other employees had gone home.
As Himari walked past the cubicles, she secretly imagined what her man would look when he was focusing on work.
"That's Uncle's office," Izumi pointed to a door then his finger changed to another direction, "That one is Uncle Shuichi's."
Himari's gaze drifted to another door. Shuichi's name and position were carved on a plate, hanging on the door.
Creak...
"You're here."
At the sound of the smiling voice, Himari turned her head. She instinctively smiled at Kazuya who was standing at the door of his office.
"It's just you here right now?"
"I've shooed all of the others back," Kazuya strode to where Himari stood, both hands reaching out to take Chiharu from her arms, "I'd finish soon. Come in."
Himari followed Kazuya inside the office while Izumi ran out to somewhere else, saying he wanted to play mobile games at the office's lounge.
The man placed Chiharu on the long couch then put a small pillow under her head.
"Your office looks simple yet nice," Himari said as her eyes drifted around the place.
Kazuya chuckled, "It's enough for me."
While Himari was walking to the tall bookshelves at one corner of the office, Kazuya was quick to scoop her in his arms.
"I see that you're wearing the necklace," His voice sounded so happy.
Kazuya's gaze lowered to the necklace around Himari's neck then once again his eyes fell on her face.
Himari smiled at the sight of the apparent joy in his eyes, her cheeks blushing, "En, en, a pretty necklace should be worn often ah. It helps to enhance my beauty."
The rose quartz necklace still adorned her neck. Himari felt reluctant to be apart from it.
"You're beautiful enough even without the necklace," answered Kazuya, sounding so firm
"Yeah, yeah, you really know to talk sweetly like this," Himari grinned, stars sparkled in her eyes.
"I'm serious."
Himari finally burst out into laughter. She pressed her face against his chest, the sound of her laughter was muffled.
"Hehe, what a sweet-talker ah."
Aye, did he really eat honey to be so good in sweet-talking her?
Kazuya let out a low and throaty chuckle. Lifting up one hand from her waist, he gently pinched her chin and pushed it upward.
Eyes glinted in mischief, he smirked, "Wanna taste something sweeter?"
Himari widened her eyes, sensing something bad from this man.
"No! The children are here!"
Himari put her palms on Kazuya's lips the moment he wanted to kiss her. The man was disgruntled, his eyes narrowed.
"Chiharu's sleeping and Izumi's not here," replied Kazuya sullenly. He tightened the other arm that was still encircled her waist.
Himari puffed up her cheeks, "Still no."
Did this guy think it was easy to take advantage of her?
The privilege should just be hers alone, okay?
Humph!
"Ugh, alright..."
Kazuya was so dejected after his kiss was rejected by his lady. He eyed Himari with a pair of puppy eyes.
"I work hard all day yet I couldn't even get a kiss?" He grumbled.
When Himari agreed to come to his office for the first time, Kazuya was giddy with excitement. He put all his focus on work just so he won't be delayed too late.
Himari giggled. She felt so refreshed to be able to tease this man.
"Okay, okay, here's the exclusive reward for you."
Tip-toeing, Himari pulled down Kazuya's collars. She heard the man's joyful chuckle before their lips molded together. Kazuya put both arms around her, cutting off any distance between them.
Outside the office.
Izumi scurried away from the door right after he saw something that he shouldn't!
Ah, he should just keep sitting at the lounge. Why did he foolishly change his mind and go to Uncle's office?
My eyes!
Himari brought Chiharu and Izumi to the indoor playground. After that, they would go to Kazuya's office and wait for him to have an early dinner together. That was the initial plan.
