As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 269 - I'll Show You That No Man Can Be Compared To You

Throughout the duration of their relationship until now, Himari had never thought Kazuya wasn't deserving of her. In fact, if she wanted to be honest about it, her man's worth was way higher than hers.

But, still, this same man thought otherwise.

Just because Jun appeared to possess more than him, either on social standing or financial ability, Kazuya felt he was inferior.

Himari was still gently caressing her man's hair while Kazuya nuzzled against her shoulders. His arms around her body were strong.

"Whenever you feel this way, talk to me about it," Himari dropped another kiss on Kazuya's head, "I'll show you that no other man could be compared to you, not even my previous lover."

A gust of warm breath tickled her skin when he let out a deep sigh.

"....I'm so pathetic to whine about this kind of thing," Kazuya mumbled in dejection.

Himari chuckle softly, "My honey is not pathetic ah. You feel like this because you love me so much, isn't it?"

Kazuya blinked. Slowly, the corners of his lips tugged up.

"I love you so much, sweetheart."

Once again, he received a soft kiss from his lady.

Despite still feeling shameful, Kazuya couldn't deny that his worries lessened.

The lady in his arms was able to turn his concerns into words of praise to him.

It seemed as if she could only see him in a positive light.

After the cuddling and heartfelt session, Kazuya went to see the captain, saying that they could already sail to the small island. Ryota and the others might have already arrived there.

"Go and take a shower if you don't want to feel sticky," Kazuya led Himari to the lower deck.

Sleeping cabins and washrooms were in there. This yacht could accommodate up to eight people excluding the captain and the crew.

"Okay~" Himari smiled.

Kazuya left her in the master cabin room. Himari took out a sleeveless one-piece long dress from the bag that was brought by him.

The shower room was quite spacious. Himari could see the view of the sea while washing up.

As Himari stood under the curtain of falling water, she began to recount what Kazuya confessed to her earlier.

No matter what, she won't let him feel he was far beneath her.

Her man had to know that he was already so good, so perfect to her.

After getting ready, Himari stepped out of the cabin room. Her wet swimsuit was stored inside a waterproof bag.

Himari met Kazuya at the main deck. He was sitting on the long couch while staring off into the sea, already in a short-sleeved white shirt and capri pants. They would arrive at the small island soon.

"Did you shower in the other room?" Himari plopped on the seat next to her man.

"Yes," Kazuya answered softly. His smile was more sincere than before. Dipping his head in, he left a shallow kiss on Himari's neck, "You smell good, sweetheart."

A blush spread on her face.

En, even though earlier she was the one taking initiative without feeling shy, she still couldn't help but feel bashful now.

As expected, Nanako and co had already been waiting for them at the small island. All of them were in their casual beach outfits instead of swimsuits.

"Teacher Kato~ Chiharu missed you so much ah!"

A dumpling ran to Himari once she and Kazuya stepped on the jetty.

Himari laughed. She picked up the dumpling, "Did you have fun, Chiharu? Also, didn't you miss your uncle too?"

Chiharu turned to look at Kazuya who stood next to Himari. The dumpling was lost in her thoughts as if those were hard questions especially the second one.

"Ungrateful little brat," Kazuya knocked on the dumpling's head.

"Ouchie! It hurts ah, Uncle!" Chiharu pouted.

Kazuya rolled his eyes.

The group moved to the seaside restaurant. Other than them, there were other few groups that came with their own yachts.

Himari recognized a few faces that she met at the banquets yesterday.

This small island was often frequented by whoever chartering a yacht or a boat. Besides the restaurant, the visitors could also enjoy the watersports.

"Our room is over there," Ryota pointed in a direction. A red floral shirt hung over his frame. He paired it with black shorts.

The four children obediently followed behind the man. Kazuya walked ahead of them, letting Himari and Nanako chat.

"Did you enjoy the romantic sailing trip?" Nanako raised up her brows teasingly.

Himari gave her a meaningful smile, "Of course~ Thank goodness that you and Ryota were willing to be babysitters for us."

"Heh, you talked as if you and Mr. Hayashi are really a pair of parents who need some alone time from your children," responded Nanako.

Himari laughed hearing that. Her eyes fell on the back of the man.

Being parents with him, huh?

The idea softened Himari's smile.

Although Kazuya mentioned engagement and marriage because of what he felt last night, she didn't feel repulsive about it.

Instead...

If once again he brought up the subjects seriously, she had to consider telling him everything.

No matter how fearful she felt, no matter how horrendous the night three years ago was, she sincerely wanted to let out everything to him.

Himari had a feeling that despite what she would tell Kazuya, she won't be discarded by him.

This man had given her so much courage without him knowing it himself.

While Himari followed the group, she didn't notice that someone was watching her movements.

Jun stood still behind a wooden pillar, mournfully observing her from afar.

From yesterday until now, he didn't have the courage to go and seek her. He was only capable to do so at Nanako and Kazuya.

"Jun! What are you doing there? Let's play paragliding!"

One of his friends called out from behind, startling Jun.

"En, okay."

Although reluctant, Jun still moved away from the spot. He didn't get to see Himari entering the private dining room.

Clenching his jaw, Jun frowned.

This was a really despicable feeling.

Although Jun wanted to forget about Himari and not appear in front of her again, the resolve was slowly breaking down by seeing her looking so blissful with that man.

It seemed like agreeing to attend the banquet was a big mistake.

But...

He had to make sure of the matter regarding their child.

He had to.

After having a bountiful and delicious lunch, the group moved to the shore. Kazuya and Ryota changed into their swim trunks to accompany the children playing in the seawater.

Himari and Nanako just remained in their beach dresses. The ladies found shelter under a huge parasol while sitting on the beach chairs.

Because it might be hard for the two friends to always meet later, Himari and Nanako didn't let go of this opportunity to spend more time together.

"...the news was so shocking but because it's for my Ryuu-Ryuu's happiness, I'd wholeheartedly bless his marriage!"

Somehow, the topic changed into Film Emperor Ishizaki Ryuu's hidden marriage. As his loyal fan, Nanako managed to bring him into their conversation.

Himari smiled awkwardly as she listened to Nanako's ramblings.

If Yuina's true identity was exposed, it was inevitable for Nanako to be more surprised. After all, both of them did meet before.

"Himari."

Startled by the sudden call, both Himari and Nanako looked up to only find the face of someone unpleasant.

"What are you doing here?" Nanako asked in a defensive tone before Himari could say anything.

Jun ignored Nanako's clear warning in her voice. His eyes fell on Himari, "Can we talk?"

"I don't have things to talk to you," replied Himari curtly.

To be honest, Himari was perplexed because Jun suddenly approached her.

Even though they locked gaze a few times since yesterday, Himari was relieved because Jun showed no sign of disturbing her but...

Why must he still do it?

Jun remained adamant to achieve his objective.

"I have something to make sure of. I don't think you would want anyone knowing about it."

As Jun spoke those words, his gaze darted to where the men played with the children at the shore.

Himari's eyes trembled.

Suddenly, she sensed something ominous from what Jun was trying to say.

When Himari followed Jun's line of gaze, she saw Kazuya who was holding to Chiharu's float. The children were playing ball while swimming.

"What nonsense you're spouting?"

Despite how unwilling Himari was, her tone tinged with uncertainty.

Jun pursed his lips. He glanced at Nanako who was eyeing him with disdain.

"About three years ago, about what you found out after I left."

Himari flinched.

Eyes widened in horror, a sense of fear crawling inside her.

What did... he find out?

Please, don't tell her...

"Do you want me to say it aloud here? " Jun asked in an exhausted voice.

He hated himself for threatening her in this way but, if she wanted to avoid him that much, this was the only way for him to force her.

Once again Jun looked in the direction of the sea. His gaze was trained on a man's back.

A thought crossed his mind, the same one that kept echoing within him from the moment he was shocked by the discovery.

If that man knew about that child, would he leave her?

It would be great.

In the end, it meant that Himari wasn't meant to be with anyone but only him.

A dark and twisted obsession swirled in Jun's mind.

He no longer recognized the gentleman inside of him that Himari used to love before.

His initial resolve to just let her go broke down in the face of such news.
