As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me
Chapter 292 - It's My Honor To Make My Sweetheart Happy
"No wonder you said that we didn't have to pack much. So, this is camping?"
Himari threw a meaningful glance at Kazuya.
"It's a glamorous way of camping ah," answered the man with a smile.
After breakfast, Himari and Kazuya said goodbye to Chiharu, Izumi and Aunt Mayu before they headed to the camping spot. The siblings promised to mind their manners when they stayed with Aunt Mayu.
The place was in the middle of a green hill. They arrived there at half-past eleven. A few vehicles were parked under the row of trees as the other patrons walked to the receptionist area of the camping site.
Kazuya brought Himari for glamping instead of traditional camping. The couple was led to their unit by an attendant. They only brought a backpack each.
Every tent site was spaced out far from the others, giving privacy to the couples or families who came here. Besides huge and spacious tents, other choices like wooden cottages and treehouses were also given to the customers.
"Is there really fireflies habitat around here?" Himari scanned around the area.
Heavily dense leaves rustled above their heads every time the wind howled. It was cool and refreshing.
"We have to go down the hill for a bit before we reach the place," replied Kazuya whose eyes were reading the pamphlet.
Soon, the couple arrived at their unit. Himari and Kazuya thanked the attendant before the young man left.
"Wow~ We have our own private shower room and toilet," exclaimed Himari.
A large tent in color cream was set up in the middle of a wooden platform, strings of fairy light hanging on the roof of the tent. A round-surfaced wooden table and two chairs were placed on the left side of the platform together with a parasol.
The shower and toilet that Himari mentioned were built on the ground next to the platform.
"We can still make fire camp here," Kazuya gestured at a place.
Both of them took off their shoes and entered the tent.
A king-sized mattress bed was prepared for them, sitting in the middle of the tent together with a full-length mirror, wooden cabinet and a few other items. A fluffy beige-colored carpet cushioned their feet.
"The view is so beautiful oh~"
Himari dived on the bed right after she hang her thin chiffon cardigan. Her eyes were focused on the outside of the tent. She lay on her stomach and propped her chin on the back of her hands.
The opening of the tent was facing the lush greenery of the forest of the hill. The supposedly hot weather of a summer day lessened every time the wind blew inside the tent.
"Sweetheart, are you sleepy?" asked Kazuya smilingly.
He put both of their bags on the cabinet table before he began unpacking them. Kazuya hang their clothes on the wooden railing; his linen shirt, collared T-shirt, long pants as well as her cotton dress, chiffon blouse and wide-leg long pants.
"The wind is making me sleepy," answered Himari drowsily, her eyelids almost closed.
"Haha, what an excuse," Kazuya joined Himari on the bed. He also lay on his stomach, "You need a nap like a baby ah."
"Who's a baby?" Himari pouted, eyes glaring at him.
"You're my baby."
Kazuya laughed, one hand cupped Himari's face then their lips were sealed together.
The couple just lay on the bed. Himari began napping while Kazuya stroked her head, his other hand was checking his work phone.
Although Kazuya wanted to put a full focus on his lady during their short vacation days, it was still hard to do so because there were some things that he needed to check and make reports.
Fortunately, everything went well during his business trip.
The couple didn't do anything much during the day.
After Himari woke up, Kazuya asked if she wanted to eat at their tent site or go to the dining hall. She chose the former thus, Kazuy called for the room service.
He just laughed when she pointed out it didn't feel like camping at all.
They ate at the table outside the tent, sharing random stories or were simply goofing around. Even after their plates got empty, they continued sitting under the parasol.
When the azure color turned purplish ruby at sundown, Kazuya and Himari walked hand-in-hand on the trail nearby. They exchanged smiles and jokes with the last rays of sunlight falling on their joyful faces.
That night, Kazuya and Himari went down the hill to where the fireflies were at. The surrounding area was eerily quiet and dark. Himari only saw a few people aside from them.
"...honey, it is this way?"
Himari grabbed Kazuya's arm and walked beside him. Her eyebrows almost merged together because of how dark this place was.
Even the forest behind her village didn't turn as dark as this!
"Should be a bit more," answered Kazuya in a calm voice. He pulled up his arm from Himari's hands before he snaked his hand around her waist, "The darker the place, the brighter the lights."
Although this place was dark, a few trails had been built here to ease the visitors finding their way.
Kazuya and Himari walked for a few more minutes until they could no longer see the other visitors.
"I hear water flowing," said Himari in a quiet voice.
"There's a stream nearby," Kazuya kept his hand on her waist, afraid of losing her in the dark.
Not long after, the couple saw a hut. A few tiny lights flew around the open hut.
"...fireflies!"
Himari almost laughed in joy. She tugged on Kazuya's shirt, urging him to go closer.
Kazuya covered his mouth. He really wanted to laugh out loud.
They quietly sat on the platform of the open hut, watching more tiny lights rose up from the bushes around them. The glow coming from the fireflies resembled a faint trail of light as they flew all over the area.
"Kazuya, let's go closer to them?"
"Okay."
Feet touching the ground, they walked in a direction.
Himari and Kazuya didn't make noise. They just watched the ethereal performance by the fireflies.
"...!"
"Pfff!"
Kazuya clamped his mouth shut the moment a firefly landed on Himari's nose. His lady's eyes were focused on the little one, mouth hanging open in awe.
"..ah, it left."
Himari mumbled dejectedly when the little guy flew away from her nose.
Once again Kazuya suffered to stop himself from laughing.
"Sweetheart?"
Himari looked at Kazuya. She was still disappointed because the firefly already left her.
Kazuya outstretched a hand, offering a palm to Himari.
"Let's dance?"
Himari's lips curled up in an instant.
"Hehe, I don't really know how to dance~"
Despite what she said, Himari still accepted his hand.
"Just follow my lead," answered Kazuya softly.
Both of them danced nearby the riverbed. From time to time, they laughed when one of them misstepped.
The rustling of the leaves and the howling of the wind became the music accompanying them while the moonlight encased a soft glow on their genuinely happy countenances.
"Kazuya, I'm happy today. Thank you, honey."
Once the dance ended, Himari spoke the words before she landed a kiss on her man's cheek.
"It's my honor to make my sweetheart happy."
His voice was full of pleasure and joy, Kazuya deepened his smile. He bent down, pulling her closer then captured her lips.
When Himari encircled her arms around his neck, Kazuya deepened the kiss.
She was his precious treasure.
The couple left when the clock struck half-past nine. The other people who they saw earlier also started to leave the place.
Because Himari disliked the feeling of sweat clinging to her skin, she went to take another shower right after they arrived at their tent. She grabbed her towel and a cotton nightgown before she disappeared inside the shower room.
Kazuya just simply took off his shirt and sat on the wooden chair with only his pants on, waiting for his turn to shower next.
Although the breeze was cool, his anxiousness made him unable to stay calm anymore.
Kazuya didn't just bring Himari here to spend time together. He had a more important thing to convey to her.
"Honey, I'm done. Go and take your shower."
Himari's voice echoed from the shower room. Kazuya glanced behind his shoulders, lips smiling the instant he saw her.
"Don't sleep yet," Kazuya ran to her with a towel around his neck. He smiled teasingly, "I have something for you."
Himari blushed when Kazuya stood really close to her without any shirt on. She nodded timidly.
"...!"
Kazuya sneaked a kiss before he rushed to the shower room, startling Himari.
Really... She couldn't put a guard up over her man.
Inside the tent, Himari applied her skincare products and lightly spritzed her favorite perfume. She moved from the full-length mirror to the bed, countless thoughts were swirling in her mind.
How should she start it?
No matter what, Himari thought that this was the right moment for her to tell him everything when she had the courage to do so.
Himari threw a meaningful glance at Kazuya.
"It's a glamorous way of camping ah," answered the man with a smile.
