'Guess I should hurry up after all. It's getting pretty late and once I inherit the powers, then the safe zone powered by the legacy would be disabled and monsters would then be able to enter this area.'

As I thought about that, I quickly tried to push my body into the seemingly illusion-like rock. Passing through the rock, I stepped out on a small translucent platform. This platform seemed to be in the middle of nowhere in space as all I could see around me were stars, yet nothing concrete in sight. In the middle of the platform was an old-looking, rusted sword that was carved deep into the platform.

Making my way towards it, I admired the place I was in and questioned the fact about how I was able to breathe in space.

'There should probably be some kind of a barrier here that traps air inside it.'

As I finally walked over to it, I reached out towards its hilt and grabbed onto it, preparing myself for what was about to come.

"Don't tell me life is going to play a big joke on me for being an extra and tell me I can't pull the sword out. Wait what if it got stuck in the platform? It must have been lying in here for countless eons. This translucent platform is something made by a god, it's not something I can break. If it's really stuck in there I can't do anything at all.."

I took a deep breath and casually yanked it out.

"HUH? I thought it'd be much harder than this. Besides, I remembered that it was supposed to demote my rank back to [G-] to fix my foundations. Wait don't tell me the [God of Destruction] was such a nice guy that he made sure the process was instantaneous and painless. Wow, he's a really nice guy right? If it was some other sh*tty god, then they'd probably send me rolling on the ground screaming in pain. You're the best, my god!"

Coming to this conclusion, I decided to open my status and check the changes in it.

I screamed out, as my body was hit with pain millions of times worse than what happened during the synchronization process. It felt like every single part of my body was getting stabbed with thousands of needles every second.

"F*ck you, GOD, I THOUGHT YOU WERE A GOOD GUY"

Rolling on the ground due to the sheer pain I was experiencing, I spewed every single curse I could think of - from both lives - at that damn god who played me like a joke. WHY COULDN'T THESE PEOPLE MAKE IT PAINLESS?

My consciousness started to fade away as I heard a few messages from the system.
