“If Old Kang didn’t tell me, I wouldn’t have known that you’ve gotten married.”

“It was love at first sight.”

Lu Yuan Heng nonchalantly said with a smile. They had got married because of the benefit of getting married and now he’s wrapping it all on romantic nonsense! No wonder goods and celebrities need both good public PR, the effect is the same.

“It seems that the Young Miss is such an outstanding person that our Third Young Master has fallen for her.”

“It was the same for both of us… When we realize we felt the same, we decided to get the card.”

Gu Wei Yi remained silent as she sat, in her mind thinking, Love at first sight… what a luxurious idea. What they had was an arrangement and nothing more.

“Your story feels like something out of a romance novel.” Kang Ning said with a smile looking at Gu Wei Yi who felt absolutely horrified at Kang Ning’s expression.

“I think we we’re just blessed. Don’t you think so Wei Yi?”

Gu Wei Yi heard her name and snapped out of her deep thinking, and was forced to lean in closer to Lu Yuan Heng, “Yes.” she replied with a gentle voice.

Mr. Ge suddenly laughed, “Just look at you two! It’s no wonder you asked me to  find out the whereabouts of Gu Zhong.”

Hearing her father’s name, she left Lu Yuan Heng’s embrace and asked, “Did you find anything about my father?”

“Nothing concrete yet. Just that he was seen in Macau but I’m not sure where he really is.”

Since someone saw him there, at least that means he is all right. That’s good enough. Her face relaxed and she sat beside Lu Yuan Heng who gathered her in his arms again.

“Thank you Mr. Ge for helping me out concerning my father-in-law.”

“It took no effort at all.”

The people around her were still exchanging pleasantries but her thoughts were solely on her father’s whereabouts. Is he still rich? He had lost a lot of money and owed some people that even all her mother’s properties liquidated couldn’t pay off the debt. She married and even had to ask Lu Yuan Heng for the rest.

It was fortunate that she met him. Who else would have that much money to pay off such a huge debt?

“Young Mistress, don’t concern yourself too much. Your father is now free. He will come back when he is ready.”

“Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Ge.”

“Don’t thank me, instead, thank our Third Young Master.”

She glanced at Lu Yuan Heng whose eyes were slightly squinting, holding a lighted cigarette in his hand. He looks cool. The gray-white smoke coming out of his mouth… She’d seen him smoke before but this was the first time for being this close, it fascinated her.

A big man, yet he was smoking glamorously. Thinking about it… If she could take a picture, she’d take one and then she’ll sell the picture and would possibly make a fortune.
