Xin Siyue smiled. “Yeah. Nobody else in this world would do this for me besides you.”

Chen Junxing’s eyes flickered and he asked, “So, am I considered a special and important existence to you now?”

“Yeah.” Xin Siyue nodded. Because you always remind me of him.

The corners of Chen Junxing’s mouth rose and he asked, “Are you free? I’ll treat you to a meal.”

“A meal?” Xin Siyue gave him a puzzling glance.

Chen Junxing, “May I have this honor?”

Before Xin Siyue could respond, her phone rang.

As Chen Junxing watched her pick up her phone, his expression changed faintly. After the call ended, he quickly asked, “What happened?”

Xin Siyue quickly responded, “I’m sorry, I won’t be able to have lunch with you! I still have some business to attend to.”

“You heading to the airport? Need a ride?”

Xin Siyue weighed the situation and nodded. It would probably be a waste of time if she was to hail a cab on her own. After going back upstairs and quickly grabbing the documents, she hurriedly booked a ticket back while they were on the road.

When Chen Junxing saw how pale her face was and how tense she looked, he tried to comfort her, “Calm down. You’ll still be stuck on the plane for a couple of hours so there’s no use being so anxious now.”

Xin Siyue sighed. “I know, I just can’t help it!” Why did her mother faint all of a sudden?

After parting with her, Chen Junxing said, “157… , that’s my number. Feel free to call me if you need any help.”

Xin Siyue hurriedly thanked him and rushed to board the plane.

At the hospital, it wasn’t until she heard everything from the doctor that she finally realized how serious her mother’s condition was, and she had no idea this was happening at all.

After checking her condition, the doctor shook his head and told her to prepare herself mentally, and also to prepare the funeral.

Xin Siyue’s eyes were red. Through the door, she looked in tearfully at her family on the bed, fading a little more each day.

Mother Xin knew as well that she didn’t have long to live. She would always talk to Xin Siyue any time she was sober.
