Maria's back became stiff and cold sweat starting to form. She gripped hard onto Tasha afraid to let go.

'what is she doing here?!'

Maria asked herself for the third time!

The woman just stood there, looking at her as if she grown a second head! Her eyes was unto her and to her daughter, Tasha.

"I'm sorry, did I buzzed on a wrong door?"

The woman asked her confusedly.

'oh! She doesn't knew who I am?!'

She mocked to herself and looked at the woman with mockery in her eyes.

"were you looking for Tobias, ma'am?"

Maria asked the woman politely.

"you knew me?"

The woman asked her unbelievably and stare at her daughter more.

Maria hugged Tasha tightly and answered the woman bravely.

"yeah, you're Tobias mom right?"

The woman nodded.

"who are you by the way? And who was this child? Why does she looked so much familiar on Tobias? Except her eyes."

Tobias mom asked consecutively to Maria.

"I'm Maria, Ho is my last name. I'm Tobias's fiancée and she is Tasha our daughter."

Maria answered proudly, she looked at her eyes intently.

"she is my grand....daughter?!"

Tobias's mom voice trembled, her eyes started to water.

Maria just nodded in response, letting the woman sunk into her mind her revelations.

"and your last name was Ho? Do you knew Marcus Ho?"

Tobias's mom asked her again.

Of course she did!

That man was her father!

Maria controlled herself not to shout at the woman. She still have respect for her elders!

"of course, he's my father."

She answered as if she was not affected at all! But deep inside she was breaking! It was as of that incident just happened yesterday!

Why would she have to see her?!

Tobias's mom's eyes went wide and her mouth opened. She covered it with her hand.

Maria just looked at her without any emotions written on her face.

"oh I'm sorry, please forgive my rudeness. Pleasecome in. Tobias wasn't here, he's in his company."

Maria speak with mockery in her voice. She opened the door widely and waited for Tobias's mom to stepped in.

Tobias's mom stepped in weakly. Maria guided her towards the couch and let her sit.

Maria put Tasha on their playing mat and let her play there so she can go to the kitchen. She quickly walked towards the kitchen and get some drinks and food for Tobias's mom and for Tasha.

When she came back, Maria saw Tobias's mom was playing with Tasha. She quickly went towards them.

"here's some drinks and cookie, ma'am."

Tobias's mom looked up immediately and sat back to the couch, shyly.

"you knew who I am?"

"yes, as I said earlier. You're Tobias mom."

Maria answered as matter of fact.

"no, not that."
